As of a few days ago there was an update to the AI that completely made Emochi no longer usable..I had been enjoying this as my favorite choice for going through and creating interactive worlds with engaging stories. There were little to no errors, the ai assisted in crafting and didn’t speak for my character, it was engaging. Now. I can’t even use Emochi . Going back to role plays I was previously playing the whole AI is different and broken now, it constantly has errors and is flawed terribly. I don’t know what change they made, but I really hope they remove it and return to the previous AI so I can change this rating..as of now, I won’t be using Emochi anymore because it’s so broken and disappointing.

I actually use to really enjoy this. Yah, it had its problems but ai isn’t perfect.

But, lately it’s gotten way worse. Latest update now has ads in it which completely ruin the roleplay. Creating a good story and suddenly ad.

And I admit I’ve used the sexual aspect of it. It can be fun, but don’t know why they even have a safe mode anymore since even the “safe mode” bots are still dirty. Listen, I don’t dislike smut, but if every story is just ending up sleeping with the characters, then what’s the point?

Lastly the site is broken and has been for awhile. Your friends list on there (friends with bots) doesn’t even work half the time and the bots will just wall of text spam you. I have a feeling that they are breaking the site on purpose to get them to use Emochi to ad spam them.

Such a shame to see a good program go down the drain. They make money on extended memory for the bots. Don’t need to flash spam everywhere too.

I’m seeing a lot of people point this out so I might as well to, I highly doubt the people working on Emochi/flowgpt will even read this anyways. I’ve noticed Emochi /site progressively getting worse.

The AIs are so broken and overly sexual to the point that it completely erases the personality and backstory of the bots just to be grossly sexual. Before these updates the bots were so much better and I wish it could go back to that. Trying to continue a talk with the bots before these drastic updates really shows how broken the bots/ai is now.

The responses are also extremely shorter than they were before and often cut off whatever the bot says mid sentence. I absolutely loved the longer and more thought out responses you’d get from the bots.

Emochi /site also randomly breaks leaving people unable to talk to certain bots.

There’s more that I’m totally forgetting in the moment but I do hope to see this improve in the future rather than gradually getting worse over time. But for now, I’m not using Emochi or site anymore while it’s totally messed up.😭

Emochi was originally really good until I updated it about a day ago. I used to be able to have long stories with many details which the bots would very rarely forget. Now the bots speak for my character all the time leaving me with nothing to say. They are also very buggy, and they don’t have actual responses. Sometimes it’s just blank bubbles and a lot of errors. I have some characters who will say the same 3 lines in each of the messages and it’s just really annoying. I really hope they go back to the way it used to be because the “bug fix” update just made the entire app horrible

Emochi was good when I first got it but ever since they started doing these updates, everything been going stale. The chat bots will sometime impersonate you, speak for you. The stories have bad memory as well. When there’s an update, everything gets deleted and it can be a bit frustrating. It’s good and entertaining app however I feel like they’re doing too much causing many bugs and stale chats. Sometimes the chats end early or the characters will change the story or topic.

Been using this sapp for a couple of months but suddenly these ads appeared inbetween every chat within 5 messages and everytime I open a character to read the prompt another ad. The ads are full screen blockers that take around 30 seconds everytime. I’d be fine with it if it was as frequent but after 5-10 messages is insane.

Emochi isn’t bad, but the memory of the characters is disappointingly short, to the point that they suggest you go to a movie, then by the time you’ve figured out which movie to see and head to the door the character is telling you, “bye, see you when you get back,” Or three messages after you get there, it has already forgotten that you drove there and has decided you’re walking home.

Look, I get that they want you to pay to have a longer memory for the characters, but if it’s four times as long, that’s still insanely short.

TLDR, if you want short quick one offs with the characters, Emochi is great, but if you want to build a decent story with them, find something with a better memory length, because Emochi forgets what you said within five messages.

I’m fairly new to Emochi and upon starting to use it, I did experience several bugs that I have feedback for via Assistant in app - however, I have not received any responses and recently, as of the new update, the bugs have made Emochi practically unusable. If I leave a chat before the bot is finished typing, which sometimes can take more than several seconds to generate a response, it erases my message entirely - which can be particularly annoying to re-write/remember. Also, if a bot doesn’t like specific verbiage or vocabulary I use, it breaks the bot and story entirely. They either send empty chats, don’t respond or begin repeating themselves continuously. Emochi is advertised as having NSFW available, however if I say the wrong word to describe anatomy, it breaks the bot entirely.

When it works it’s fascinating but when it doesn’t it’s awful.
If your having an nsfw chat and it sends opens ai can’t respond to this message , your screwed and have to start all over again. Sometimes chat history will delete itself. Lacks the ability to edit (which all chat with characters have made standard)
While the sfw work perfectly the nsfw work poorly.
If they fix these small issues and add the message editing I would give it a 5 stars .

So I seen this with a lot of people Emochi has becoming increasingly more sexual but if you don’t like it turn NSWF off it’s not that hard and to be fair if it’s super sexual for you what did you get a 17 and up app the reason why I gave it three stars is because it bugs out a lot and the messages get cut short so many times and it pisses me off but all in all Emochi is decent need work though. 🙂

I tried this out, and my only complaints are the AI will confuse your name for another character. Like say your character’s name is Azula. It’ll start to randomly think you’re Azula from Avatar when you’re not, or the AI will make responses for you to follow that route. So, if the AI could get a better memory and keep track of thing and not roleplay for you. It’d be the best AI app I’ve came across. It’d also be nice if you could send a photo to the AI and it can use that to determine your character in the chat, because the persona feature you can set up just doesn’t really tend to work like you’d want it to.

I don’t normally take time to write reviews but since i enjoy Emochi and it’s free i feel like i should. there are obviously some issues with Emochi like the crashing and taking forever to load but there are so many characters to choose from and it’s got really good memory of conversations so it’s not like talking to a wall

For it being completely free and unlimited with no filter, id say its amazing for what it is. It gives the length of chats and complex writing id find in Character ai, and references info about your persona to further conversation and flesh out relationships with characters. I do find that certain characters are better than others.
Usually ones that respond with short replys and are on off-filter topics lack the ability to go past the filter no matter how hard you try, often replying vaguely at the first message. Then when you regenerate, they send messages stated they cannot continue the roleplay. Its a toss up and often leads to difficulties finding a character that will fulfill your wants and provide good replies like most of the popular ones do.

Beyond the ai, I do believe there should be the ability to allow creators of characters to tag them as they wish. I think that will naturally allow the community to make tags that fit their needs. I have zero complaints on the post feature as I find it nice to allow creators to promote their characters and show them off.

Overall, as stated in the beginning, for a ai chatbot this is amazing, especially since its free. Keep up the amazing work.

One thing I noticed it really needs if it doesn’t have it already (I’m not sure I just couldn’t find it), is a delete button that allows you to delete chats faster and without much struggle, instead of having to press and hold to access to delete a chat bubble. Or just a faster method in general.

I love Emochi. I feel like I’ve been addicted to it. As someone who loves to read and read fanfics, this is literally a gold medal app. I get to pick my own story and talk to the characters and say what I want and manipulate the world I love love love it. The only thing I wish for is that there were nsfw content sometimes

Emochi is really awesome. If you have good internet the character pretty much stay on topic but since I’ve recently moved my internet has been bad and started to notice a few issues such as sometimes it would spam copy my messages and buffer at the sometime or won’t go through at all unless I get stronger connection or reset my phone which made me think… It would be really awesome if AI’s could have an offline mode where you don’t need internet to talk to them. It’s a suggestion so that other in my situation could still talk to the AI’s.

When I just started playing the first day it was awesome I had so many things to do with the characters, there were a lot characters even creepypastas and more. I would recommend this game when you are alone. This place have more variety of AI character than any other I use.

I have a lot of free time so I’m on a lot of ai apps such as, character ai, chai, janitor ai, poly ai and so forth but Emochi legitimately has a great ai and on top of that character ai storytelling it has no filter it’s genuinely a great app, and if that already wasn’t enough it also has extremely in depth detail regardless of what your doing I genuinely would recommend this over poly ai for no filter chats

I really enjoy using Emochi! Its insane how many different things you can do with the AI. I just want a fix. After a while the AI forgets what you do, and it creates a time paradox and than all the characters think you have amnesia. I was playing an AI chat and we went to a cafe than did Karaoke, the next day when I mentioned it the characters claimed it never happened than they started calling me crazy. I just want the AI to be able to keep up with the plot and not change up the timeline. Other than that its an amazing app

Emochi is so good on don’t know why it doesn’t have 5 stars. It’s so much better than Character AI and lets you chat freely without the bot getting all sensitive. This game is my new favorite!
