Wuthering Waves is a story-rich open-world action RPG with a high degree of freedom. You wake from your slumber as Rover, joined by a vibrant cast of Resonators on a journey to reclaim your lost memories and surmount the Lament.
I wasn’t gonna give it a 1 star but for a game where u have to connect to a WiFi spot in order to play a mobile game is y I did it and before u go and judge my decision right here me out so I pre downloaded it on soon it drop I downloaded it so of course I was super excited to play it but everytime I would login and actually try to join the game would say the gateway connection timed out so me being a gamer I was like maybe they servers was down and besides I was at work just trying to make the time go by so I waited and got home connected to my WiFi at my spot and lord behold it works perfectly so I didn’t think nothing of it but when I took my dog to the park with no WiFi the something happen gateway connection timed out I’m not saying it’s not a good game that’s not the problem I’m saying it’s a mobile base game u should be able to play on ur mobile device without connecting to a hot spot or WiFi cause the way I feel if u wanted it to be like that just put it on console instead of mobile way better but ppl want to play on the go so for devs please fix that problem if u make a mobile game ppl are expecting to the play the game without connecting to any internet just by using the phone data not connect to a hot spot or WiFi and play it that’s the whole point of a mobile game but this my opinion on it and I’m sure as the time pass ppl would understand when they start diving into the game a lot more
Not the best
by A.1 User
Just because a game gives out freebies & compensates people for pretty bad bugs or for times where it messed up badly doesn’t mean the game is good. The story is horrible. Even if you regularly read Chinese novels or are familiar with the tropes used here it all falls flat. The dialogue is horribly convoluted & the voice acting is pretty bad too. I seriously cannot believe how awful some voice-lines in EN were for characters that were important to the story at that, not some regular looking NPCs.
Speaking of the characters, they are mostly annoying & unlikeable. Very forgettable cast. And very forgettable music too. The combat system is good but the farming is awful. There is a lot to be said about the state of the game right now and there will be even more things to say when one reaches endgame.
Something else to add is that I found myself finding bugs even with the simplest things that’s also excluding the translation errors and grammar mistakes that threw me off a lot. Claiming mail, finding something in a quest, triggering some dialogue options were all things that would randomly get bugged. A very unsatisfying experience is what I had with this game & I think there is much to be improved. The base model is fine but a lot of refinement needs to be done.

Please please PLEASE focus on fixing the lagging and crashing portion. I’ve been waiting and excited to play this game, it’s smooth when it isn’t lagging out of it’s mind which leads up to a crash. My iPad doesn’t overheat at all, the game just can’t handle being played on any other device other than a computer or laptop of some sort it seems, which I can’t use. The game has such potential. I’m not one to care much about Gacha systems especially since this game is so combat based (and beautifully done might I add), it’s simply hard for me to keep re opening the game or want to keep playing when I can’t enter an open area without having the dreaded spikes of lag. It’s discouraging and exhausting which is why I’m uninstalling. Deeply hoping these issues can be adjusted at least. I understand and respect they’re working on it; but with the overwhelming feedback regarding it I feel like they should take a different and more serious approach rather than the typical bug fixes here and there. That’s my opinion though, and It’s not like I have a gradual experience for this type of thing or made it my profession. Just a player wanting a better experience.
I haven’t even started the game because it was glitching
by Taki Is Better
I love this game. I tried it out the first time it just took too long and it reset it and they keep telling me do I wanna buy the full version I said no just keep popping up. It won’t go away off my screen and then I started my game over and it stopped asking me that, after that, a problem started happening. I was trying to do the thing when it glitched it literally glitched and it literally stopped. Loading thing stopped. It wasn’t even on yet. I haven’t experience anything. This bug is really bad. I can’t even play it game. I can’t experience it. I don’t get it, if you developer, please get it fixed. I’m not hating I like the game but it’s just if you’re available just please fix the bug no beef. OK I’m not arguing with you. I just need you to get the bug out of the game so I can play it if this happened to you maybe you don’t have but I do so if you did that game, please please please pull the bug off of the game so we can so I can play the game or someone else that has a bug, so I’m begging you if you don’t want to do it I won’t force you. It’s between you if you want to take the bug out of the game or if you don’t, I agree on that so but if you’re not available, please take the bug out of the game.
Oh, and by the way, I rented it three stars because it’s too much
I really like it so far BUT lag makes its almost impossible to play
by Océane_ocean
I’ve been really enjoying this game, however I have it running on the lowest settings possible and it CONSTANTLY crashes. I’ve never had any issues with any games like this before not loading— like Genshin or honkai star rail, not even during the fist release. It’s almost unplayable how badly it lags during sprint/ glide actions, so I have to walk everywhere on normal speed. Not to mention during every single cut scene, character ult, and even just occasionally out of the blue it crashes. I’d wager at least once every five minutes the game just decides it’s not going to work anymore and I have to reboot it and hope I don’t have to start all over again on whatever quest I was doing (but I usually do.) not to mention how long it takes to load back up, that by the time I’m in again I’ve completely forgotten what I as doing before. It’s hair ripping how inconvenient it is, and it’s such a shame because I really do love what I’ve played of the game so far— I just can’t enjoy it when it’s like this. I really hope they’re able to fix this, or at the very least release it on ps5 soon, because I’d literally buy a ps5 just to play it
Game is Riding on a Prayer
by HigaJosuke
Oh man, what to say about WuWa... Just to preface: The game (when it works as intended, preferably on PC) is incredible. Combat is smooth, versitile, skill-based, and fun. Traversing the world is amazing, with QoLs like wall-running and infinite sprint outside of combat. The game has skip dialogue for fluff moments, both in main story and sidequests. Progression is simple and streamlined, no having to search places for mini flowers and the like, just stop by the shops and you're good. Characters and even some NPCs look beautiful. Best part, there's no floating child to yap for your MC (who btw look great and is REALLY viable in battle right now). It's overall an addicting experience.
WuWa has a chance to be an icon in the gacha market if Kuro's management would STOP! RUINING! THE MOMENTUM!! Like holy, this game is at week 2 and we're already seeing mishaps for CN and JP playerbase, two of the biggest spenders for any live-service title. Game still has optimization problems for some which could have been avoided if the game released a little or even a LOT later. Mistranslations, bad compensation, terrible English dub; if this game manages to turn itself aroung like PGR it will be a miracle. I really hope things stabilize because the game devs made a really solid ARPG gacha.
There is a problem with this game
by Lairth
I’m not sure if it’s just the game or my phone because this has never happened to me before. I’ve played many games and since the game released I’ve heard a lot of good comments about it and some of the play reviews and i thought why not play the game so I installed it And I got excited when I was done with all the downloading but when I tried playing it but it just froze and I waited for a bit think maybe it was just me so I continue to wait and nothing happens so I got off WutheringWaves and came back but it still didn’t work so I decided to delete it and reinstall it and the same thing keeps happening so I was wondering that it might be my phone but it doesn’t make sense since I’ve play similar games before that have been out longer and took more storage and such, so I thought maybe it was my internet because it had started to act up lately but still it was not that and the only it could be was the game and I was disappointed the way it ended up like this but I am not going to judge the game though since it is newly released and so I hope this game will be updated soon and fix this problem because not a lot of this types of games favor mobile devices
Great game but gets boring
by Shinshitty
Wuthering Waves is a great game, and I enjoy all aspects of it including the character design, gameplay, and even the unique bosses. But the problems I seem to have lie within making characters stronger and the overall vibe of the game. Ive been having problems with getting enough materials to level my characters traces, and never feel like i have enough to thoroughly do so, and that goes for both the forgery challenge rewards and enemy rewards. I also feel like it gets difficult to level up echoes, because you cant use unleveled echoes to level up echoes, and it gets difficult to get the materials. Both of these things has lead to the gameplay experience feeling repetitive and even boring, making me constantly having to farm in order for my characters to be usable. Along with that, the color scheme leans towards more gray and less saturated colors, which I feel makes the game feel a bit more lifeless than other games. It also makes it hard to locate unmarked resonance beacons. I feel like the game was fun at first, but has leaned to feel almost like a chore. I will continue to enjoy the character design, gameplay, and other aspects, but the problems take away from the quality of the game.
Absolutely great but laggy
by TotallyNotAinsley
First of all, I wanna say that wuthering waves has amazing graphics and the combat is top tier. The devs are also so caring and attentive??! (Cough cough….genshin) that’s why I moved over to wuwa. However, there’s a big problem, the game is so choppy on mobile that it ruins the gaming experience. Not everyone has the ability to avoid a high end gaming pc, and even then my phone is relatively new with a lot of storage. I run genshin and hsr perfectly fine so I don’t see why wuwa can’t on low graphic settings. (Though I know that wuwa just released and the devs have posted compensation for it, promising to improve in later updates.) Still they released wuwa first with no console option for mobile players?? So if it’s laggy, they’re forced to wait until they release the console version or just quit. But alas, wuwa is so much better than what I expected. The story plot is good, the combat is top tier (I love the dodging in the game omg), graphics are gorgeous, and the devs are generous with giving out rewards relating to their gacha system. The laggy thing is just ruining everything for me, and a major percent of wuwa players as well. Most of my friends play wuwa on mobile, and it’s also laggy for them. I know they just released so I’m waiting for improvements, or I’ll just have to be forced to quit.
i wanted to give this game a one star review early on, simply out of bitter spite due to the fact that the game does NOT have controller support? which is simply unacceptable in this modern age for an action RPG. but after actually playing the game for a little while (admittedly, uncomfortably), i enjoy it way too much to even stomach giving it only one star. the gameplay is awesome, reminiscent of genshin while still feeling fresh, the characters are all so different and each come with unique gameplay and individual battle style, and the story is intriguing so far! the lore can be a bit much at the beginning and there were moments where i felt like i had too much detail and yet no detail at all… the cutscenes can feel excessive at some parts but it all comes together eventually.
overall, i highly recommend this game and i predict it’ll get more and more popular and mainstream as the game gets deeper into story progression, best to be on board sooner than later. but there absolutely needs to be controller support and fast, that’s literally the only drawback.
Someone’s gotta say it.
by Monatheastrologist
Okay, so, the game itself is great, the fighting and story is amazing. But there’s some issues that need to be fixed. 1. The English voice over. So, the voice over in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, are great! But the English sounds weird, a lot of the characters sound like robots and just overall, not very good acting. Switching to another language would technically fix it, I guess, but being able to hear it being said in a language you can actually understand feels so much better. 2. The character designs. To cut to the chase, the females have quite revealing outfits. I’ve seen other people agree that they don’t like it, so it’s not just me, the males are better, although they have tight shirts, but it just feels like you could’ve given them so much better designs without them looking like they’re for the streets. Lastly, I could be wrong, but I don’t think all the 5* characters have story quests, which makes me feel like I don’t know the characters because some don’t appear in the main story.. (again, I could be wrong, but so far I’m level 30 and haven’t seen some of the characters at all) those are all my qualms with the game.
Great game, super laggy
by A Random Bear Here
I've been playing wuthering waves for about two days now and i really like it so far. The battle mechanics are awesome, the character designs are very neat and well put together, the echo system is fun, and the compensations and the free five star selector are very generous. The game itself is great, but there is a lot of lag. I understand that the game is currently in its early stages and it will be laggy for some time, but the only device that I can play on without having issues with my devices crashing is my Dad's computer. I'm not often allowed to play on it, so i usually stick to playing on my iPad. The only problem with that is that i will often have these terrible lag spikes appear out of nowhere. My game mechanics will be going really smoothly and out of nowhere i have really big lag spikes and it crashes my game. I've tried playing at my relative's houses and using their wifi instead of my own and i have the same issue no matter where i play. I hope that it gets fixed so that me and other players who have the same problem can play without issues ^_^
Great game, but almost unplayable!
by EmbyrRose
I want to start off by saying this is a wonderful game, and I enjoy it greatly. I love gacha games, but I often find it difficult to obtain valuable characters in them. This is not the case in this game, and within my first week of playing, I obtained three of the highest ranking characters(not sure what they’re called in this game. Legendary? 5-star?). The world is interesting to walk around and explore, the characters are engaging visually and story-wise, and there are many interesting combat and exploration mechanics that make this game very unique! However, despite all this, the game is virtually unplayable for me because of the constant crashing whenever I try to do anything! This appears to be a common problem for mobile players, and I expected it to be fixed soon because it’s such a widely experienced problem, but there have been two hotfixes and one major update since I started playing(if I remember correctly) and none of them have fixed the problem! I really want to continue playing this game, but if the crashing continues, it’s really too much trouble to get anything done.
Very beautiful game. Crashing is VERY frequent
by Orchidisin111
I’m a personal believer of finding the positives in many things. It’s getting incredibly difficult to find positives this game simply due to the fact that I cannot do anything without it crashing. It took 1 minute and 33 seconds to fully load into the game from the time I tapped on the end of the loading screen. It took 1 minute and 31 seconds for me to crash from that time. This has happened so many times I literally brought out a stopwatch for it. It took a total of 3 minutes and 4 seconds to me to crash and the only thing I was doing was simply wishing. Every time I wish I crash. Every time I try to fight a boss I crash. The ping is at least 100 and it fluctuates between 600 to 300 to 400. This literally made the game unplayable. I wouldn’t have minded if you spent more time fixing this and the game would release later. I appreciate the amount of wishes you give, but it doesn’t really matter if I can’t do anything with those wishes. Please fix this, and I’ll fix my review.
I’m having a lot of fun with this game. It looks beautiful, I love the character designs and the music is really good in my opinion. I love female MC’s design. The combat is so enjoyable, and the echo system is fun. I’m also super into all the ways you can move around, running up walls is so fun, and the grapple hook!! I adore the look of the world, I know some say they don’t like it but too much saturation hurts my brain so this atmosphere is perfect for me. Plus, the beautiful areas pop out even more because of it. You get so many free standard pulls off the bat, and the 5 star standard selector is really generous. I took off one star because of the bugs and the stuttering. I also think some of the voice actors could use some better direction in the future, especially Yangyang and female Rover. The story isn’t the best, but it’s not horrible. I’m confident they’ll be able to improve in the future. I hope people who were deterred by the bugs will come back when patched. I understand the developers were probably rushed…it is unfortunate but Kuro is quick with trying to fix so I try to be understanding.
Top 5 of my favorite games
by SJ8798
Wuthering waves is an amazing game I love the character and creatures designs and how the characters and creatures abilities are just so smooth and presented in the game and the story lines are just amazing in every way. But what I really want in these types of games is to be able to use four characters instead of three characters. Reason why I want to be able to use four characters instead of three is because I mostly like to use three combat characters and one healer when I’m fighting a boss or creatures. Because if one of my combat characters die then I would be left with one combat character and one healer which there is a most possible chance of me dying, because I’m not a pro at the game of course and I’m not good at the game but nether am I bad at, but there’s still a most possible chance of me dying if I only had two characters left. But that wouldn’t be the same if I could use four characters, because if one of my combat characters died then I would still be able to use two combat characters and one healer which there’s a greater chance of me surviving the fight. So if you could just add one more slot to the game that would help a ton. But this is just my recommendation for it you don’t have to add anything if you don’t feel like it. But thank you for listening/reading this and have an amazing day/night!!
Good game! Just crashes too much :(
by Scarecr0w_z
I genuinely love this game so much. I love the details, the animations, everything. My only problem is how it constantly crashes. I’ve done everything I can. I’ve freed up storage, I’ve connected to stronger WiFi, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, but nothing works. I’m stuck on one part of the game because it always crashes before I can get to the end of it, causing me to start all over. I had previously set my graphics to the lowest possible options, but it still crashes. I can’t access menu or teleports because of the part of the game I’m in, so I’m just stuck. I open the game, it starts back up in that one spot. I physically can’t leave or finish it. I’m somewhere near the beginning of the Retroact Rain part, after fighting the giant robot thing with Aalto & Encore, and after fighting the first few Tacet Discords back at the gate of the main city. Right in that little cutscene-like part where Chixia (Idk how to spell her name, sorry) is the first to talk. If anyone has any suggestions or anything, please help! I want to continue on with the story. :(
Love the game, very little criticism
by I_luv_sophie
Overall I think the game is very fun. The character design is immaculate, even for the less interesting characters or npcs. I’m level 29, and just finished what the have of the main story so far. It was incredibly entertaining and enjoyable. The game is pretty even on low graphic settings. The only criticism I have is that the pacing is slow and the in game materials are expensive costing 40-60 waveplates which is a bit annoying considering you normally get 1-2 of whatever material you’re farming. There’s also a few character glitches like with shauna, a four star, glitches a lot and her face and body with go black for a second and turn back to normal (which wouldn’t usually be an issue but it happens so often that it’s annoying.) There are a few other glitches and bugs but to be fair the game just came out 2 or so weeks ago so that’s bound to happen. Other than that kuro games is very generous with rewards and compensation, making it easy for f2p players to get 5 stars and stuff early on. Not to mention they actually listen to their fan base and correct their issues, unlike some other game devs in this genre(hoyoverse). Anyways, id definitely give this game a play, it’s worth it. ☺️
Best game ever
by Anime Girl-
I’ve played a bunch of RPG games and yet this is the best one I’ve ever seen. I love the gliding the wall running even the quest I finished almost every single one of the game already. I really wish it was easier to get the attack damage on our characters up higher, but the game works and that’s OK as much as I love this game sometimes the game lags really badly to the point the character won’t even run anymore and stay frozen but if I just leave my phone alone for a little bit it’s OK but the character designs are amazing. The gameplay is wonderful the way the characters expression, and the voices is amazing if I could get this game 10 stars I so would, but I can’t sadly. But it’s OK. I love how the quest plays out. I love how the characters move yet. Sometimes they lag I love the bosses they’re super fun to fight. This game just came out and I am already loving it. I put this game at the top of my three favorite games. the owner of this game really cares about the people who play this game unlike some other people not gonna name her, but this is the best game you can ever play. Trust me.
I’ve played a handful of different gatcha games over the years across multiple genre and I have never played a better one. WuWa is without a doubt an amazing title. It’s true that there were a few hiccups at launch, but Kuro Games were quick to fix the issues, openly acknowledge and apologize for them, and give generously in compensation to the player base due to the issues. The voice acting is spotty in a few sections for the EN VA BUT overall well done. Personally I think the voice work’s quirks add an oldschool charm to the game that takes me back to my youth when games first had spoken lines, which just adds to my love for the game. With the first major content patch even more effort was put into the acting and it shows. Regarding gameplay, if I didn’t know better I’d think I was playing a AAA console title akin to Nier: Automata. Combat is fast and frenetic with smooth animations and flashy special skills. Dodging is especially rewarding with slow-mo effects and opportunity for counterattacks. Questing feels like a classic RPG and when doing story quests they’re very cinematic and pull you into the game world.
Closest thing I’ve ever played to a perfect game
by Sebregis
It’s everything I’ve ever wanted. Open world. Lots of different things to do and work on at once. Leveling skills and resonators and weapons doesn’t take too long but it’s also not like you’re going to get all of the materials for a character in a day or 2 and that’s what’s amazing about the game. Everything moves at a pace where it feels GOOD to achieve something like ascending resonators or getting a new weapon to level. Also the generosity from this game is astounding. I don’t need every character or weapon, but I just want enough pulls to choose 1 every update at least. I want guaranteed new things, I don’t need EVERY SINGLE new thing that comes out when it comes out, but I want new characters and weapons periodically to keep me interested in the game and Wuthering Waves has done a great job so far at allowing me to pull for characters without feeling like I’m wasting the currency. Please keep updating this game and making new events. Please keep updating regularly. You guys are doing great and I mean that in the most genuine possible way I can, coming from a person who gave up on video games awhile ago because they just haven’t been fun to me in years.
First timer
by Me Cool/awsome Yeah
Hi this is the first time I wrote one because no game has ever impressed me I’m a really involved gamer and I never let up till I finish a game and this game really showed me the true essence of a game but my one problem is the voice they don’t work and that is the only negative but everything else love it I want you guys to continue the story you have my support and I also think you should add more companion quest good luck on the storys(^ω^)nah I’m sorry I just can’t anymore y’all need to stop writing reviews if it’s lower the 4 cause bad storyline no this is the best game ever and it’s coming from someone who doesn’t play trashy games genshin impact deserves that they need a lot to catch up to this game cause the graphic is better just the lighting tips me off but other wise it’s fine and you know at the end (spoiler if u haven’t played click out)we get havoc the power you know the thing that comes at the hand we can have one of those abilities but it’s your story line gl again(^^)updated.😭😭 I’m updating again I’ve been here since day one and I wanna say this game makes me really happy and it’s like a chill game and has a deep story so if your someone reading this get the game that’s all and devs if you read this check the game for glitches that’s a smart thing.
Better than Genshin?
by Nezuko360
Yes, a million times yes. Firstly, half if not a third of the gigabytes, even with the open world graphics. The graphics are amazing, and so is the music. Now I have bad wifi and can still play, don’t know why people are complaining about that. Sometimes it does crash but not often enough that it becomes a problem, most likely I was playing the game for like three hours and my phone overheated. And if you have a problem, unlike Genshin, you can just lower the quality and people might say, “that ruins the experience” the graphics still look amazing. The only glitch I’ve experienced in not being able to save my photos that I take, I hope they fix that problem. But even then, I can just screenshot. Also, they stole the grapple hook feature from Noah’s Heart and thought people wouldn’t notice it because nobody likes Noah’s Heart. I was a fan of it, and I thought something was familiar and it was because the double jump and grapple hook come from Noah’s Heart; I also think the running up walls and dodging come from it too. Wuthering Waves, either way, take spot #1 in my heart for the evened out wishing percents. I got both Jinshi and the Jade General their corresponding event in the first ten pull. (Maybe ten pulls are luckier?)
Revived my love for gacha
by Disputatiousd
Everyone knows for a while the best gachas were extremely predatory and filled with dialogue bloat. Wuwa provides gamers with a high quality gaming experience without the headaches/heartaches. The story has great pacing with a skip button for the less important parts so I can enjoy PLAYING the game. Wuwa does an excellent job balancing storytelling and gameplay so that the story doesn’t become a barrier to players enjoyment but enhances it. As a regular dude with a 9-5 and a family I don’t have a lot of time to game and if I wasn’t at home due to an injury I wouldn’t even have time for this review but this game has been a lifesaver. The echo system is great because it gives me something to do and although tedious can help progress my account. The best aspect of this game however is the combat. The blocking and parrying system feels great but more importantly every character feels fun and interesting. I’m positive that this game will get better and better. The only thing I would improve is the endgame content. Not that it’s bad but the presentation could be better. I wouldn’t mind seeing illusive realm become more like a dungeon or see some type of raid system (I know that is a lot but maybe make it where you can solo it or join with friends) but again I love the game currently.
First of all, the graphics are beautiful. The visuals, the movement, and the camera movement feel fluid and smooth, giving it a nice feel to notice a large area. Second, the combat. do I need to say how good the combat is? It’s just.. omg. The mid air attacks, the parry, dodge, combos, and effects for each character feel so great and wonderful. I actually feel satisfied every time I get a parry or dodge successfully, it’s just so good. third, the character designs. Each character has a unique model and design, especially changli. She was my most favorite ever since she was revealed. Her design, effects, and personality… she’s my most favorite character in the game and I won’t change that. Every character has a beautiful design and animations, but changli just stands out to me. Fourth, the exploration. The exploration is actually unique. The scenery is beautiful, the monster designs and bosses are unique and cool, and especially the bosses animations. Just chefs kiss. Now finally, the story. It’s such an interesting plot, especially the companion stories. The companions stories aren’t just “oh, do this and do that, and you get to learn about me”. No. You get to learn a lot about the character. Well also learning about your past memories. It’s such an amazing and unique way to learn the world of huanglong. This game gets an 11/10. Tho there are some errors, that won’t stop me from playing the game.
I couldn’t love it any more than I already do
by Ollliloli
I can’t provide any meaningful review other than for being the first rpg I ever play it’s so good from the animations and world-building it really gives you a sense of being Rover. The characters are all really pretty and the game is so easy to learn to play, especially for people like myself that have never played any type of game aside from candy crush or cut the rope. Although my friends are much better at the game than I am I find it really fun to run around the expansive world collecting flowers and other little treasures and awards. There’s always something to do in this game and I guess that’s why I find it so fun. I play it on my phone and really except for when my internet is slow and makes me start loading during fights, I’ve never had tech issues. I know I’m at fault for leaving the page for too long but when I’m gone and come back to the “return to login screen confirm” screen it’s actually so painful even though I know I only have to wait 30 seconds. :,( Overall I really love this game the story the characters everything (Rover and Yinlin yes please 🥴)
Don’t hate js bc its very similar to genshin. Genshin is similar to botw

“Too many bugs they aren’t fixing them omg!” Yes they are?? Literally since launch on tues they had released over 18 mini updates to fix various bugs. They are working OVERTIME. I think tuesday was a much deserved break day because they didnt release any updates that day, but i can respect that. “Needs wifi to play on!!!” This is one of the complains of the top reviews (seriously?). EVERY GOOD GAME NEEDS WIFI TO PLAY ON YOU DILAPIDATED TRIANGLE. “Doesnt work without wifi!” OF COURSE IT DOESNT HAVE YOU PASSED THE THIRD GRADE? “Music is bland” Music is subjective but there is also a music bug going around where you cant hear the background music after it plays once (outside of jinzhou). This will definitely get fixed very soon because it is one of the main leading factors locking people from playing main quests. They refuse to continue because without the music the experience is gone. Fortunately i was able to find a way to get the music back for a short time, so i was able to experience the main story to the end WITH music. Even if the music is bland, if people keep saying things about it, it will probably get upgraded. Vanguard worked with them on Pgr but they seem to be a bit understaffed right now so they only made a few songs for Wuwa. Personally tho i quite like the music, loving the scifi feel and it definitely adds some emotion to the post apocalyptic theme.
LOVEE 💞 ignore the dumb comments about crashes/lagging

There’s people saying their game crashes but that’s because ur using a PHONE from 100 BC… the game runs smoothly for me so that problem is from the device and not the game. If you have a proper device, the device has sufficient leftover storage, set the settings that fit ur device, the game will be fine. Exploration is fast, and there’s a tool that helps locate chests. The number 1 thing that I love is the skip option for cut scenes. I don’t really ever play for plot so I love that option. I also love that there is so much life into the npcs AND mobs. While exploring you can see enemies fighting for territory, or even them sitting together and admiring the sunset. I also love that in the cutscenes there’s no awkward and silent moments, 10 seconds of characters turning (sounds familiar), overused animations (ik the game has only released but I’m also talking about the characters weapon animation when u go to check their weapon), and I don’t watch the fight scenes but the fight scenes are SO good. There’s so much I want to say but I’m only taking my time to write a review is bc the game was updating, but it just finished. Anyway, just play it for yourself, it could become your new favorite game
Wish it would work on my iPad..

Absolutely amazing! I do have one problem though, this is also multiple people’s problems too. Since I have a older iPad (6th gen) it won’t work/ stays on the loading screen after I downloaded everything. I tried restarting my iPad, I’ve tried getting rid of more storage but it still won’t work. I went on Reddit and looked up how to fix it and I found out more people have the problem too. I’d appreciate it if you could try making it work for older iPad generations like 6th or 7th, but if you can’t that’s totally fine! My problem doesn’t involve the gameplay so that’s why I gave it a 5 star rating. I’ve been waiting for Wuthering Waves to come out was really excited to play it. For now, I think I’m going to delete WutheringWaves because I can’t play it. I also think others will delete WutheringWaves if they cant play it and only have 1 device. As I said, I hope you can fix the problem. If you do fix it, I don’t mind having lag or getting kicked out every specific amount of time. Thank you, and I hope you fix this!! 💕Oh and if u do fix it, please reply back to me and I’ll finally be able to play! 😊
Wuthering Waves is the best action role-playing game I've ever played! From the moment I stepped into its vast open world, I was blown away by the visuals and the level of detail. The combat is fast-paced and thrilling, with a variety of different characters and abilities to choose from. The story is immersive and engaging, with complex characters and moral dilemmas. Plus, the music is top-notch and really adds to the overall atmosphere of the game. If you’re a fan of action RPGs, Wuthering Waves is a must-play! In addition to its excellent story and combat, Wuthering Waves also offers a number of other features that make it stand out from other games in the genre. For example, the game has a unique traversal system called the "Gravity System" that allows players to glide and climb their way around the environment. This adds a new dimension of exploration and allows for a more dynamic and fluid gameplay experience. Additionally, the game’s gacha system is more player-friendly than some other games in the genre, with a fairer distribution of rewards and a higher drop rate for rare characters. LIKE DUDEEEE SO GOOD I CANT WAIT FOR MORE!!!!
The Pinnacle of Beauty

tldr: flawless game, singlehandedly made me (an atheist) convert to christianity because i cannot fathom how this would've been made without a god.
the love i have for Wuthering Waves is simply immeasurable and unparalleled. the immaculate level design and lifelike, fulfilling gameplay is enough to get me through even the hardest of times. it is truly a relic, a masterpiece unto this world, and it has singlehandedly sparked my belief in a supreme being. for how could such perfection be crafted without the aid of one? if the greatest philosophers pondered for decades on end, they undoubtedly could not grasp the meaning that Wuthering Waves has given me. the purpose that has bubbled up inside me. each death is a learning experience, teaching me the ins and outs of this universe, and each success is such gratifying freedom. in all my life, i have never experienced something as magical as Wuthering Waves. and i haven't even mentioned the soundtrack. the impactful music playing throughout the background of the game gives me strength to move forward, not only in the game, but in my life. i feel every worry slip away, every burden lifted off of my shoulders, each second i play bringing me blissful peace, that i simply do not feel anywhere else. i've begun to neglect my needs, because Wuthering Waves fulfills them. Wuthering Waves eliminates my hunger. Wuthering Waves quenches my thirst. without Wuthering Waves, i would undoubtedly be a dead man.
This game is so good for only being out for a couple of days!

I love the game! It’s so generous with the gifts, I already was able to pull over 80 times for the standard banner! Wuthering also gave us a free five star (thank you). The only other open world game I played before was Genshin Impact, and I can confidently say I like this better. From the ability to run up walls and skip dialogue to the great storyline. From the story’s I’ve heard from other people it’s very laggy for them, but it’s the opposite for me! I have all my setting on high/advanced and it runs so smooth (I play on an Apple IPad Mini). The only problems I have had was sometimes I'm not able to move my screen but it usually only happens for seconds and it fixes itself. Another problem I’ve have one was the auto was very very static like, but I was able to fix it by closing it out and logging back one. This game just came out so it is expected to have bugs and minor problems, but even with that it’s still so good! Anyways I would recommend this game 5/5!
Wonderful game!

I like most people in these reviews am also a genshin player. Of course since this is a gacha game people are going to compare it to that game but it stands out way enough to be solid on it’s own! The character designs are beautiful and it’s clear the developers put thought into them and their place in the world. The world itself is beautiful with a lovely concept!! The combat is just so cool! I love the swap out attacks(not what they’re called I just call them that). The puzzles are also so cool! Like sure some of them are pretty classic “gacha game” like time trials but a lot of them are really fun and I’ve marked quite a few that have stumped me so far.(I’ll get to them later!) A lot of complaints I’ve seen for this game is the story, is it kinda clunky so far and fast paced? Yes but everyone’s forgetting this is the first chapter! The one that’s just supposed to introduce the world and set the scene! Most Gacha games have a bit of a clunky first chapter. I’m honestly really excited to see where the story’s going to go next. Sincerely good job to the developers!
great game!

i opened it as soon as i realized it was fully out, and was stunned by the graphics. they're amazing. and it runs very well for a new game. the character design is great, although some could use improvement. the creature we fight have quite a bit of variety and the feature of absorbing them and using them for combat is pretty cool. and yes it has its similarities to Genshin Impact, as a person who plays it i can see it. but games do generally take inspiration sometimes from other games. the map is fun to traverse, and stamina isn't too much of an issue. the combat in general is quite fun, and being able to switch characters even when in the middle of a jump is a great feature for those who like to quickly change characters in a fight. the devs seem quite generous in terms of rewards and compensations, and it seems a lot easier to get 5-stars than in other games. overall, came for Lingyan, and am gonna stay for pretty much everything else. 9/10, could use improvements in some areas but is amazing, especially as a new game.
PEOPLE NEED TO STOP HATING ON THIS GAME BC IT JUST CAME OUT. COMMON SENSE PEOPLE??????????

This game has been out for not too long. I played a day after it released (may 23) and obviously there will be lag, bugs, glitches, etc etc. People are already comparing wuwa to genshin, hsr, and other games. I personally enjoy the game and I think it’s great for just coming out. I like the fact that they give tutorials on all the controls, how to play characters, etc. The rewards are insanely generous and devs should not have to apologize for lag in a game that has just come out. Over time, the game will eventually become smoother, better, and more but so far my experience has been very pleasing. I do think it has similarities to Hoyoverse games but that doesn’t mean it’s a ripoff or a bad game. I like how there are many unique features like dashing midair, running on walls, and having a grapple. The scenery is very beautiful, the character design is great, and overall, the game is amazing so everyone should be more respectful since obv lag is going to pop up, there will be issues, etc. devs r super generous tho so thx ;3 <3 (def f2p friendly and I’d recommend) SO STOP HATING ON THIS GAME!!!
First Review Ever and It’s Deserved
by Sinful_Jo
I’ve never once wrote a review on anything but I felt the need to for this game. As people are saying, the game is definitely comparable to Genshin. It has similar open world experiences with gacha aspects. This is not to say that WuWa is a copy and paste though. They have their own unique puzzles, monsters, and fighting styles. Even their art direction is unique. The story starts off pretty slow and the VA’s could use some work but I heard that Kuro(the company) is working on it. Plus, I found myself really enjoying the story towards the second half of it. While these all make for a fun and special experience, do note that there are bugs and glitches in the game. The devs seem to be working really hard right now and dropping patches everyday. They even compensate us for any type of unpleasant experiences we are going through. I like Genshin, but that doesn’t mean I cannot like WuWa. Both are good in their own sense. I would definitely recommend people to try WuWa out. Since there’s lots of new systems compared to other games in the genre, I would suggest watching a video online if you guys need any help with something. Good luck on your journey!
Love the game but people’s opinions on this are wrong
by Cookie Monster 🍪💗
So i’ve seen too many videos saying how “this game is like genshin impact” or “this game is like a copy of honkai star rail” ITS CALLED TAKING REFERENCE??? Genshin took reference from Zelda but no one bats an eye? also the game is laggy because it just came out, genshin and honkai came out more than a year ago and this game has been up for a few days so don’t hate on it for that since the game is still new. i feel like people are hating just because its a “copy” of genshin but its just the artstyle and and open world they quote on but lots of other games have the same stuff like that too. its not fair to the game! also the devs are super kind because of bugs and glitches getting patched very soon and they give you rewards for the bugs itself, they are actually trying hard for this game then you’ll throw it away because it’s similar to another one. overall my opinion on this game is 9/10, the lore is okay, i’m not a huge lore fan but the character designs and gameplay are awesome. personally this game is easier for me to grind than honkai and genshin. it’s just overall a great game if you’re looking into open world games that aren’t that hard.
I’ve never loved a game more.

If I could inject this game and all it’s content into my bloodstream, I would. To the design, to the graphics, to the story, it’s all around amazing. Not only is the story paced perfectly and beautifully executed, but it genuinely interests you; with diverse character personalities and their views on what could ‘save the world.’ The characters designs are perfection. It involves a diverse range of outfits, and expressive designs that have their own distinctive personality. With their separate goals and complex backgrounds/backstories, it really leaves me on the edge of my seat to find out more about them. The story pacing is wonderful. It’s the perfect mix of troublesome characters, to solving problems, and assisting those around you. I really enjoy how Rover has different speech options, how it can end up different each time depending on what you choose. I also enjoy how Rover isn’t sticking to one exact side, how they listen to all sides of the different organizations to see their purpose and why they do what they do. Overall, the game is amazing. The devs are hardworking, polite, and helpful, and the mechanics and weather changes are enough to immerse you fully. I hope you can enjoy Wuthering Waves as much as I am right now.
wuthering waves

playing this game is fun and gives me a new fresh of air from other games that mostly dont listen to player feedback when criticism is needed sometimes or they do hear it but dont take risks to do something about it cuz money first and thats corporate greed. you’ll get your money and return on investment if you listen to your fans who support you im calling out you Genshin and Toram Online. i know this game needs a lot of ironing out like controller support on mobile and im glad their working on the game for a better gaming experience and thats really telling how human these developers are who aren’t afraid to stick their neck out and say whats going on and admit to their faults and i’m talking about YOU POKEMON reusing your 3Ds models and calling them fresh than get caught 4k for lying. i hate how this world now we live in that gaming has become expensive were kids cant even buy game boys and don’t even get to experience the good old days but now people turn to free games to cope and escape the world sometimes and that is bless to be a option and i thank you wuthering wave team for making something people could enjoy and drop a little bit of money in unlike playstation saying 500 dollars for a console is reasonable and paying 80 dollars just to use your own internet that is a crime no wonder pc/mobile gaming is the market.
I’ve played many Gatcha games over the years and I must say this is the first company that does a great job of addressing issues quickly to try and make the best player experience possible. Not only that but they are very generous in terms of rewards compared to most other Gatcha games. This has put a big dent in their sales but the CEO had made a statement letting everyone know the company cares more about making a great game over pure profit. Not to say this game is perfect but it does make constant bug fixes quickly and adds new quality of life features asked for by the community as well as in game rewards and events. As far as the game itself it has a bit of everything for everyone from casual gamers up to the more hardcore players in terms of end game content that will challenge you more than the typical Gatcha game in it’s genre. If you are not the most skilled player the story mode and open world content is still fairly easy to clear so the majority of players can still enjoy the game while having one of the best fluid combat system. Overall I would highly recommend this game for everyone especially since the devs seem to really care about the players.
