I've been using this app for several years and have found it to be extremely useful in developing ideas and organizing my songs and ideas. You can create a link to share with others but keep control of it by only letting the user stream and not download and if you're uncomfortable with that link being out there too long you can disable it by making it private. It also has a great look to the person you're sending it too complete with lyrics. I do miss the big red Record button and hope you bring that back. I've recorded several ideas and developed them within Songspace and that was really convenient. My only complaint is when writing lyrics, at a certain point you can't see what you're writing and have to close the keyboard to see it and open the keyboard again and guess where you're typing. Also, when you just want to read the lyrics, the keyboard keeps popping up as you scroll down. Please fix that! Thanks for a great, useful app!

I love song space but I would love to see the pitch status of songs while on the mobile side too, especially who listened to the song and where. That was my main reason to pay the subscription in the first place 🕵🏻‍♂️🧐 everything else seems pretty great about Songspace , clean and not lagging.

Aight so technically you could just use the notes app but this acts like an iCloud which is very useful but a couple recommendations is being able to upload a beat to a song or at least on the desktop version, and also, if the writing paper was more zoomed out like how it is in Microsoft word would make it feel like the user is being less condensed and claustrophobic

I was trying to use Songspace to write a song and it won’t let me scroll down to edit the page.

I love Songspace, I’ve been using it for years with no issues, but after the update it won’t let me record anything.. was looking to contact support, but couldn’t find contact info.

I wrote a song that I really loved on it and IT IS GONE!!!!! They DELETED ALL OF MY LYRICS!!! I don’t have a backup because I was just experimenting. What also is really annoying is that it stops at a certain place and the keyboard blocks all of the words. Every time I had to edit it I had to guess where I was at. Making it take twice as long

You can’t reorder songs in playlists, it doesn’t display your playlists in the order you set them. It keeps showing me a “Delete” button by default which is very easy to accidentally click on and is terrifying. I’m in love with this app but absolutely zero use for Songspace. Full redesign please.

Love how this app works but Songspace is a bust.. only half the time or less, does Songspace actually load up the songs you’ve submitted to playback. I literally have to undownload and redownload just to pull the song up. Frustrating

I looked at the subscription prices and I did not apply for any subscription which is a good thing.... if anyone likes to write poems, songs and other stuff.... I would stay away from Songspace and use ‘hum for songwriters’ or ‘progressions lyrics’ because ‘hum for songwriters’ and ‘progressions lyrics’ don’t require any silly subscription.

this app is awesome. Easy UI that lets me focus on the music rather than on Songspace . Until I try to type/edit lyrical content... I find myself selecting words and moving the cursor around very often while writing lyrics, but the text fields don't respond properly in-app, and scrolling up/down the page seems buggy on iPhone 5. Hoping for an update soon!

Since updated, only getting lost network connection error message. Also, no support can be reached. What’s happened to this app??

This was one of my favorite apps until they removed the ability to actually sing and record on it for some reason. Now it’s useless. WHY this app WHY? Now it’s so much harder to be a rising musical artist, as no other outlet let’s you record and read lyrics side-by-side.

I’ve had to reload Songspace too many times to mention. Concept of this app is awesome. App…not so much

Crashes for me every other time I play a song.

I love Songspace!!! And haven’t had any crashing issues, luckily. No more dropbox, evernote, voice memos, email, text etc. this app lets me record and sync to the cloud my ideas and songs so I can find them, organize them all, invite others to record and write with me and they can do the same thing, share with anyone (like I send a song to a contest or to get someone to record for me). It records their notes so I can hear them as well as writing lyrics using Siri. I can start an idea while I am in the car and finish it on my laptop without having to email or text the memo. Really cool.

Songspace is good but it can be great. I like that I can write my song lyrics and also audible record it with my iPhone. I compare Songspace kinda of like an artist that draws and has a sketch book, but this is a sketch book for a songwriter. The one thing I would like is being able to upload a beat from my phone to Songspace so I can write to it at the same time I'm listening to the beat. Nothing complicated only the ability because I like the simplicity of Songspace .

This is a great idea for an app. I can't wait for a version that lets me actually log into my account and save song ideas. As it is, Songspace keeps wiping any information I store in it, then giving me login errors and telling me my email and password are invalid, even though I confirmed them minutes ago. I have entered American Songwriter contests through this app before, so I know I have a valid account.

My advice is to wait for the next update, and until then, use at your own risk and keep a backup of all your lyrics and recordings.

This is a great app, but I echo the comments of others that have issues typing / editing lyrics.

Will update to 5 stars once fixed. (You guys might want to implement the Ionic framework if you're going to stick with an HTML5 app.

Awesome app! Great to have all the voice recordings along with the text and grouped together instead of randomly named in my voice memo folder. Also the differentiation between ideas and songs is very handy, about to start using this for all my writing!
