All I can say is the gameplay is bland, and very generic. The fact that I can play at 30-60 fps which sounded alright until I reached one, or two doors to the next stages. I noticed that the frames take a huge dunk at 10-15 fps from around there. Terrible lag and input delay was sudden. It’s quite tediously annoying. Therefore could not play it. Not even 5 minutes into the game. I did not like a lot of things. Do not recommend to play. A huge let down. If you are reading this review you devs need to fix many things. - Fix the frame rate drops. It’s very bad and annoying - Input controls need to be improved - UI for the action buttons and interactions needs to be movable. Not staying there in one spot. The movement button having the floating button option was nice, but come on! The action button and interact buttons need it too. - Abilities feel redundant and have not been put into thought.

Love the game, but I recently got a new phone and can’t transfer my saves or my purchased characters. Makes it hard to support a game when you can get screwed over like this. I will make my review 5stars when this issue is resolved.

Installed it this morning. Was working fine, then at some point the ads stopped loading, making continuing impossible. It stays stuck on a black screen. Won’t change the rating until it’s fixed.

There are many issues and bugs in the game. Most if not all projectile abilities do not work, along with all basic attacks that have a projectile base. What I mean when I say this hey don’t work is that you can’t see the attack or ability work and it does absolutely no damage. This is really annoying and greatly affects game play. On top that, if there are more than 3 enemies on the screen that game has a severe lag.

I’m having massive lag spikes during room changes causing sound to cut out then monsters on top of me frame drop then I’m dead rather annoying would love to spend some money and get the archer hero might hold out till it’s fixed

Side note I’m on a 14 pro max

This game WAS soooo much fun and couldn’t wait until they added more. The recent update added Elione and a few extra equipment attributes, but I was so bummed to see that they decided to make the game harder. Previous upgrades were reduced (i.e. mac fountain upgrade was %60 and suddenly now after the update its %40) pretty obvious its a cash grab making the game more difficult so you now have to pay money to have a fighting chance at the game. I’d have happily paid money just to play this game, but this recent update makes me want to ask for a refund and move on to hopefully find another fun game that isn’t “pay to win”

The lack of ability to change where the attack button is placed is annoying. The gameplay seems tl be fine, but considering that attack is placed almost a centimeter higher than most other games is incredibly frustrating.

I really want to like this game, I really do: the bones are there for a fun and interesting roguelike. But the game is difficult in ways that make it SO FRUSTRATING… movement is sluggish, attack animations are often shockingly slow, dodge cooldown is slow to refresh and use, attack boxes are inconsistent, slow-motion damage reference seems to initiate early and limit dodging opportunities, and enemy attacks are frequently unavoidable if your dodge is still on cooldown.

I know the dev is putting in a lot of work to make this game better, so I truly wish them luck! But I have to put this game down before I through my phone across the room in aggravation. I’ll try again with every update, and hopefully will update my review with a higher score in the future!

I absolutely love this game. It’s right up my alley. However, there is one enemy that has lowered the rating for me. The invincible-slime spawner. The little guy in the green cloak that spawns slow slimes that cannot take damage and move towards you. The spawning happens at a medium range and it is impossible to interrupt while his shields are up.

In short, this enemy is a flow stopper. To me, this game is most fun when you get in a combat flow. You can be pummeling a crowd of enemies and this guy can be in the mix, then the next thing you know, a slime spawns on top of you. If you were mid swing on anything but the simplest attacks, then you can’t dodge it. If you do, you just have to run around until it disappears, and HOPEFULLY you have enough time to take down the spawners shield but you probably don’t.

Altogether, I find this enemy anti-fun and I hope you rework it a little to make more sense with the rest of the enemies.

I played this game for weeks (it’s a really great game) until it got repetitive and uninteresting. Why grind to unlock another character when the game is beaten within hours?

Distracted by the otherwise engaging gameplay, learning how to dodge attacks from various enemies, it took a little too long for me to realize there is nothing to do in the game except enter the portal over and over again.

I pretty much finished the game in one 6 hour sitting now all I can do is replay first level on higher difficulty which I’m not interested in. I was also unaware of how short the game was and ended up buying the archer then beating the game 3-5 attempts after that I’ve gotten to corruption 3 or something but it’s just not it for me needs a lot more content but some reviews say there are only 2 devs so not much hope for a complete game anytime soon the 2 devs did great work they should be proud of it but should really look into getting a team built so they can launch 1.0 faster. I’ll probably leave it installed and remove from home screen and maybe play it again in a year or two when it’s finished or atleast expanded.

This game has a lot of potential, and is very fun. However, at least at launch, most runs you lose will be due to certain enemies causing the game to lag and stutter to the point of unplayability (the first instance of this is the FIRST boss, which gets the game close to crashing at times). If this gets fixed in the future, I’ll return to the game and raise my review’s stars, but until then, I can’t recommend playing for long.

I have just reached the first main boss. I died. I have to say the game is quite good.
The combat is simple yet engaging because of the triple skill system. Some attacks charge, some move your character, and some attack in certain patterns. So mindlessly spamming won’t get you very far, you will get hit by telegraphed attacks.
The game actually has a story, and I found that refreshing for a mobile game. It’s engaging as well, gives you a sense of purpose for going through the same levels, getting stronger each time.
The enemy diversity and movesets are varied and difficult. You have to move your character tactfully and attack precisely to deal actually deal damage without dying.
The game strikes a fairly good balance between easy and hard, leaning more towards the hard side.
Art style and music is charming as well.
There are apparently three playable characters, but they appear to only be purchasable with real money which it is what it is, the game is free. Perhaps I will unlock them later.
Things I want to see as I play to be 5 stars:
• I can unlock characters for free later
• Story length of good measure. Clearly they wanted to tell a story, i hope it’s fleshed out.
• More than the 4 or 5 current elements I can equip to my skills

This game is amazing! It’s a fun roguelike with rpg elements with a beautiful art style reminiscent of hyper light drifter. There are a few things that could be improved upon, however, like more satisfying sound design and generally faster paced combat. Better indication of attacks from enemy’s would also be much appreciated. I also have noticed lag and crackling audio on my ipad while fighting the slime boss. For the most part though, it is outstanding. If you like soul knight, hollow knight or dark souls, this game is for you! I can’t wait to see what it becomes!

Its fun and the art is really nice. The only problem i have with it is the ads but they arent forced onto you so its not that bad

The game is phenomenal and really fun and I play every morning before school, but whenever I watch an ad it tends to glitch and go blank and won’t let me leave the ad, making rewards from watching ads inaccessible. But besides that this game is great and I’ll be looking forward to updates and events and other exciting feature’s.

I enjoy everything about this game, except for the fact that there are very few progress between each runs. I really love this game so i’m gonna be pretty sad when i have to delete it, which might be pretty soon since it doesn’t really have much content and upgrades you can do.

Just updated the game that explained it fixed the bug where when you enter the merchant your game “can” crash. I’ve never had this problem before, but when I updated the game I’m now experiencing the issue that was happening in the first place. Love the game though!!!! Keep up the great work

This game is incredible. There’s practically no aggressive microtransactions or forced ads in this game, which genuinely helps with the flow. With this it’s already one of the best roguelites on the mobile market. The gameplay genuinely interesting, with the spell and weapon system adding a bunch of different combos that just feel satisfying to pull off. There’s quite a lot of enemy types, each adding something new to the table. There is one big flaw, and a major one at that, the bosses. They’re very lazily implemented and are just larger, more annoying versions of already existing enemies. Every single boss just spams down enemies, which is incredibly frustrating and downright unfair some times. The final boss spawns these little turrets that are very tanky and more spawn in before you can kill them all. If the bosses were reworked and given more unique AI, this game would be the best mobile roguelite I’ve played.

There are a couple of sound and lag bugs and glitches but the pixels and art is amazing!

Great game so far and great story! I really enjoy the mix of types of aura and skills especially when you can mix and match with different combination styles!

The only thing so far is that the performance needs to be fixed, i have the iphone 15 and there’s either frame drops, or the screen freezes when fighting enemies or if your screen glitches when picking a power up which makes the game less fun.. otherwise great game.

I like the art style along with how easy the controls are but at the moment projectiles don’t seem to work along with a little lag but that’s to be expected with new games sometimes. Overall good game so far.

Gameplay is fun so far but the game lags even on the lowest settings and makes it impossible to go into any boss levels confident because I’ll just drop frames constantly throughout the fight

The game is fun but gets extremely grinding if you don’t spend money. Challenging and well thought out but a little limited. Biggest problem with this game is that you have to watch an ad two, three and sometimes four times just to get the little piddly reward promised. It’s so bad it seems intentional.

Just experienced this, but in the final fight against Eloise, if you get trapped between the wall and her just as you beat her, Novu gets stuck in a softlock where he tries to walk to the seed, but can’t because Eloise is in his way.

Loving this game so far, I hope it continues to grow and keep on the path it’s on. Adds are by choice so far and I don’t feel the need to pay for anything, but I am sure I will purchase something sooner or later, but I am sure it will be worth it.

I like where the story is going. Only thing I wish for in chapter 3 is more possible upgrades in terms of the cartographer. Maybe something like increased amount of healing from the fountains? There’s not much in terms of replay-ability once you complete the chapters, but it’s still fun!

I think I get on EndlessWander Store once a week to see what’s new and to find something I’d really like to play. Long time gamer so there are aspects of RPGs that you look for that some games just never have. This has what seems to be all of them! The recent update is an example of just that. Other games would have said “bug fixes” and that’s it. These devs went into detail what they fixed and changed. That’s why I love to see. Also the new event being bugged and fixed in a timely manner is also a fantastic show of their dedication to the game. I look forward to seeing why more this studio can do. Will be purchasing the battle pass and such to support!

I have been having a blast with this game. I have been looking for a good rogue like on mobile and this started to scratch the itch…. Until the adds….

It is not like some games where they have an add every 40 seconds. The adds are broken. I tried to watch one for an item…. The game soft locked because the add would not run. I reached a point where there was a mandatory add for story progression, soft locked the game because the add would not run.

I doubt that this is the creators fault since they do not run the software for the game. Maybe Unity being Unity? I would love to continue playing but if it keeps doing this then I will not be able to.

You can tell the developers prioritized a fun experience and did this project as a work of art. Interesting gameplay and story!

Wish there was a Buy option instead of a $3 subscription to remove the small amount of ads. Would happily pay $10-$15 which is more than I would spend in the sub model as I don't see myself playing 5 months.

FINALLY SOMEONE GOT IT RIGHT! I’ve been searching for a game like this, looking forward to supporting the devs moving forward with this game! Can’t wait to see what else is in store.

Endless Wander is still in development, which means you can have a foot in the door with an app that shows a lot of promise. We'd like to see new maps, new enemies, and new skills, but for now, we're happy to run and re-run the main story for a very enjoyable roguelike. :)

I’ve been getting into the rogue-like genre the past few years. This one instantly captured me. The combat feels GOOD. Whatever problems it had at launch are not present at the time of writing this review. The build mechanics are easy to understand and fun to find strong combinations with. I also like how the story is there but isn’t too overbearing, especially in the beginning of the game. You jump in and play with lore at a minimum, but it’s enough to get you interested. Music and sound design are great, too. A great first release on EndlessWander Store by First Pick.

Best free game I’ve played in a looooong time. Not really sure how this game is free it’s so well made and there is tons of content to keep you coming back each day. Been playing a bit everyday before bed. I love rouge likes and have exhausted the steam store, so glad I found this hidden gem. I’ll be following along for future updates and will this pass just to support the devs, but don’t feel like I need to buy it to progress. Great experience!

This game is fun and challenging and pretty good for building up skill and awareness. A lot to learn at the start and the runs get better with more knowledge. Looking forward to new characters and levels, and I would love to be able to use a controller with this one.

And if anyone cares to fill me in, should we be saving up character materials to level up the guys in the future.

I have never written any reviews for games before this one, but I had to once i tried it out. It is still fairly in the early development stage but I can easily see this being a very long game with very entertaining aspects. and having a unique build every time will always make it feel new. This game has huge potential

The only down side I have is that I binge play games like crazy and since there’s only 2 devs the updates come out mega slow for someone like me. I absolutely love everything about this game and can’t wait to see more of it sadly only thing I can really do is grind for better equipment. I haven’t bought the new characters because I rarely spend money on in game stuff. So I only have Novu upgraded. If I ever get the other characters, I definitely got a lot of good equipment for them because almost all of the epic gear I get is never for Novu 😭

I really like this game a lot! It reminds of a similar game, Dead Cells, which is also super good too. And I use the comparison as a compliment as there’s a neat flow that once you find it, it’s super easy to get better and better at the game, plus the art is super pretty to look at and the animations are incredibly smooth.
I do have a few ideas, though, that may be interesting! One is possibly adding controller support, since this does have a feel of being a game one might play with a controller. Another might be maybe having more places to heal and such, instead after each boss room. These don’t need to be added or anything, as they’re just ideas.
All in all, I’ve only played this game for a day as of making this review, and it’s incredibly fun, the art and animation is beautiful, and overall it’s just a very neat game!

This game kinda reminds me of a game i really liked as a toddler… yes i was a toddler… fate. This story is really good. And i can see this game becoming more than a mobile game, in going in kind of a fate style kinda direction. So far it seems like a really cool game although I haven’t gotten to far. The visuals are stunning I was going in a little blind as I pre ordered the game and did not know what to really expect but when I got in I was blown away. The different and unique visuals of the skills makes every kill attack feel satisfying. As I get farther in the game I hope it continues to interest but overall very solid game.

I love this game so far, the rougelike elements are well done, the gameplay is solid, and I made sure to wait a few days for my review because in the initial launch there were some lag and skill issues, but good on the developer for releasing an update so quickly

First: some sword mover like the wind slash doesn’t work
Second some time i dash during the boss fight it jus too lag also the same when I attack the boss

I preordered this game about two weeks ago, and it is amazing! The art is beautiful and the story is great! I love how fun the game plays out! There was some choppy lag when attacking that I noticed, but the most recent update says that was fixed! I’d definitely recommend this game!

Overall very pleased with the game just wish I could move while I shoot the delay between shooting and moving is a bit laggy causing my character to get hit a lot

The game starts of nice and it has good effects added to it which makes it just feel unique I recommend you try this game it was really entertaining

The only problem with this game right now is the bugs. They’ll be fixed and this will be the best free roguelike of its kind in EndlessWander Store. Really well done.

I’ve written 3 reviews but after 20 runs I see the potential. I might spend money unlocking the archer if this game proves to be an elite free to play roguelike. So far it’s really good. Very polished

At first I had the same performance issues that others have reported - but today it seems like that has been fixed and the game is now really smooth.
Great storyline that keeps me interested.
So far a highly recommended hack and slash rogue kinda game!

I preordered this game and do not regret it, it has a very unique skill/upgrade system that you don’t really see in other games, and it’s really fun yet challenging combat. I cant wait for the full first chapter to come out, please keep up the great updates! 👍

Built with a lot of features, this is one of the better mobile roguelikes I’ve ever played I’d put gameplay up there with others like the binding of isaac! It’s phenomenal work and can’t wait to see the team update the game even more.

i haven’t gotten too far into this game but it is looking way up! i hardly ever write reviews but i can’t help but do so when a pixelated roguelike game this good comes up on my recommended list and not enough people are playing it! love the art style, the story is top notch for a mobile game. to top it all off, you can play it without wifi or service, which is a luxary not enough games have these days.

very fun, unique art style. would love to see a more fleshed out version without the micro-transaction economy ported to Steam. Would easily be worth 10-15 bucks.
