Opened for the first time. Prompted me to purchase. Purchased and then asked me to rate. So, here I am.

I like the idea of ChordButter however i read that I would get a 3 day trial before it started charging me weekly, but I got no trial and was just charged anyway.

Luckily it wasnt a lot of money but I was let down by the zero transparency about it. I had to see in my apple subscriptions that there was no trial.

ChordButter functions properly, there isnt a midi editor though. So it seems like you would export whatever random thing it creates into a midi file and use another program to access it.

The drum complexity is practically just preset drum beats that again would be better if it had a midi editor.

ChordButter is a great idea but needs work. I wish I knew before I was paywalled into using any of the features. After paying for a week to try it out ChordButter straight up broke. I have no audio and for probably an hour I wasnt even able to see that I had received the benefits of the membership.

I’ve tried a few apps like this. Shows a lot of promise but pretty barebones. This is something I would have probably bought to support but a monthly subscription for an app riddled with “coming soon” is something to see

you have to pay to be creative which isn’t fair in any way. you also can’t make your own baselines and working with the chords is annoying. options such as garageband or bandlab are much better.

ChordButter seems to be a cool upgrade coming from TONALY. I do not like the monthly subscription for a tool that does a lot of the same things as the previous. I wouldn’t mind purchasing flat out and maybe purchasing new tools appearing in the updates but not a subscription.

Am I supposed to not be able to hear the loop in the composer? Kind of bothersome. Maybe this is just an issue I’m having individually

EDIT: a simple uninstall and reinstall fixed this issue for me lol. I actually like ChordButter now that I can hear, it’s super helpful and user friendly :))

it is very easy to make a good melody with ChordButter. I just wish there was more things that you can change with the notes. I can’t wait to see what you can do when the beats and stuff releases.

I wish you could input vocals. That would be amazing but other then that very good. When are you planning to add vocals?

ChordButter is awesome and I’ve figured out you can keep the song running while recording a voice memo to do some simple vocal note-taking. I would love to see that feature in ChordButter but I’m happy to have found a better way to record vocal ideas

i sound like such a bot saying that but seriously even with just the free content ChordButter is just so nice and intuitive to use and has seriously helped me to feel motivated to learn more about chords and music theory and what have you. this is wonderful, i’d love to see more features, thanks for the awesome app

I rarely write reviews but ChordButter it’s the best music theory generator I’ve seen in years… gui is amazing, ChordButter is so easy and intuitive.

Very easy to learn and get going, can't wait for the future updates!!!

Love the design, love the simplicity of this expectedly complex interface, ChordButter works very well, can’t wait for all the new features.

I like how useable it is on the phone screen.

Would like to know if there’s a way to make Melodies. If you could incorporate a melody with ghost notes for the chords it would be perfect.

Love ChordButter, been using it for about a year.The updates have been great and look forward to the future ones!
