I was simply trying to explore the meanings of some Chinese expressions like “通商宽衣” and “精甚细腻,” but the app immediately flagged these searches as “politically sensitive” and blocked my account. This level of restriction is excessive and makes the app nearly unusable for those of us genuinely interested in learning the language and understanding cultural nuances.
The app’s sensitivity to certain terms seems overly harsh and frustrating, especially when my intent was purely educational. Until this is improved, I can’t recommend Tongyi AI to anyone looking for a genuine language-learning tool.
