UPDATE 7/8/24: this merchant failed to refund my money so I contacted Goldman Sachs since my Apple Card was used for the transaction and they were able to refund my money right away thankfully! Please stay away from this merchant!

I’m disappointed in this company. I can’t really comment much on the actual app features since I haven’t had the chance to use it (nor do I have any interest to) but my child purchased it without my knowledge and now I’m stuck with the bill. It was purchased on a “free trial” and my card was automatically charged 3 or so days later. They have refused to honor my refund request. I’m still trying to get a refund, but looks like they’re not willing to work with me for some odd reason. Any company that works this way is a scam in my opinion. It seems like the other reviews are either fake or paid because I can’t imagine that a company that does this would be as great as the other reviews say. If they’re really this good they wouldn’t scam others like this. I’ll update my review if anything changes but so far they are refusing to give my money back. STAY AWAY!

I researched several sites before downloading this off of the Apple App Store. All of the various reviews, as well as the original ad set that the software was free. When I downloaded it after vetting it the very first thing that came on was it's free for five days and then you have to purchase it, when you go to RetakeAI Store to download it, it says in app purchases which means they're available but not required. So you guys need to change the advertising on this or actually make a free version to let somebody do a certain number of images per month for freight. I don't need it for a ton of stuff just a fewphotos here and there not 18 times a day on Instagram. Very disappointed that this was advertised as free and it is not an $80 a year is not exactly cheap.

I downloaded it to try and use only for the free subscription. I made sure that I canceled it the same day so I wouldn’t forget to do it (have the proof that I did so because I took a photo) and they still charged me $85. Now I’m stuck trying to get someone to answer me is and good luck with that now have to deal with my bank, not worth it. Best part is I only downloaded it to fix a few of my brothers photos for his obituary, but unfortunately you need multiple photos at different angles in order for it to work - which of course I didn’t have so all this headache at the worst time for nothing..

some people might want to look at 50 photos of themselves to figure out which ones look good, but merging pictures has made my chin look fatter than ever, in one picture it made my cheek look fatter than ever. It just was creepy. And they were like 3 pics where my tooth was literally sticking out of my mouth like on the other side. If you want to see what you would look like if your parents were brother and sister, then definitely get RetakeAI.👎
I read a bunch of reviews for those who do not know how to cancel on an iPhone, youcan do two things you can delete RetakeAI and then it will ask you if you want to go into your settings for subscriptions and say yes, and then cancel, I canceled day one. If for whatever reason it doesn’t do that go into your settings. Go to the button that says Apple ID and click it. It’s the first button usually with your face. Then go to subscriptions and cancel any unwanted subscriptions, and I would definitely cancel this one.

It’s paid for so I will use it once in a while until the sub expires I am not continuing the subscription I already canceled it I just wanted more content with the magic retakes it’s springtime and there’s nothing for the current season in the magic retakes its only for Christmas or some other limited things and zero valentines or spring or summer content it’s a fun app but only for a day once you do all the magic photos it’s pretty useless

Horrible app. Your only option is basically to upload a close up image of your face or else it won’t detect it. Any image i tried to upload that was far enough to show my entire body or even half of my body, RetakeAI was not able to detect my face. So I’m hindsight, you are very limited as to what your of pictures you can actually use on RetakeAI. The concept sounds cool but the execution is a 2/10 for me.

RetakeAI is horrible! There are so many better apps than this. The pictures look NOTHING like “bringing out the natural beauty”, as advertised. I signed up for a 3 day free trial, then cancelled on the second day, as the pictures were ridiculous. I just happened to notice the next day that I got charged for a week! I have requested a refund but still, watch them. Definitely do not recommend.

THIS UPDATE!
Before you could see the retakes on you and had the option to pay for it if you wanted it. But now you can’t even do that! RetakeAI is worthless and awful unless you want to spend $5 a week to see what it could do. But be warned it doesn’t work on all positions, didn’t see my face in half the pictures where I was looking directly at it.

I went from happily using RetakeAI to writing my first review and deleting it. Cause if you can’t afford it it’s worthless. What about some free content? I hope other people see this and understand that you can’t do anything with RetakeAI anymore unless you pay. I hope they do.

I think like 20 pictures on my phone that show perfectly the face, and this thing keeps saying that it can’t recognize the face no matter what I do. I’ll upscale the picture it just doesn’t work, it keeps saying it doesn’t recognize a face or the picture is too small.

Listen, I know it could be user error, but I busted out laughing when I saw my “retakes”. All RetakeAI basically did was copy and paste my face over some random bodies in different scenarios. It’s hilarious. Nothing at all what was advertised on their ads on apps.

Save your money!!! There are far more better options of apps out there. This made me look like I was 20 years older! And you can’t change the pics but once a week. Takes way too long. Not worth the money or time. Also very very limited content! What if you are dark colored or another race? Just save your money please!!!

Horrible. Don’t purchase. Will take old features you had and put with new pictures. Old eyebrows before I had them tattooed were on my picture I took tonight. My eyes were squinted too. So ugly. That’s not me. I have beautiful big blue eyes. Not squinty brown.

There’s no where that lets me see the photos I paid for. What do you mean they are locked for X amount of time to edit. I can’t even see what you did in the first place and the only option is to upload more? For what purpose? I want the photos I paid for.

It basically cuts your face out from 15 photos you provide, and pastes it ( with pretty good feathering) to the new photos you’d like to improve. I tried it twice and I’m sure it’s not something I could actually use anywhere. Sorry.

Not only did the faces not match the body size, I got one brief run through of my created AI and then could not get it to show me them again unless I gave permission for it to get into all my photos. Too much info can be gotten from photos if given access to all. Especially since it kept requesting locations too. Not for me - deleted within hours.

The quality is good. But there is not enough variety in backgrounds to justify the weekly rate or even the yearly rate. Also it is not easy to maneuver from your already taken photos to the optional backgrounds. I was not able to pick new choices after one day of use.

As soon as i downloaded RetakeAI i noticed there was no free trial, but i was so intrigued that I paid five dollars. as soon as I selected my photos, nothing happened. It’s been on the same loading screen for over three hours and I’ve tried closing/deleting RetakeAI and still nothing. It doesn’t work!!!

RetakeAI is scum and they steal your pictures, get access to your photos then ask you to pay if you want use RetakeAI. So they have setup a trap for you.

Now emailed me that there was a misunderstanding, there is no misinformation when you steal pictures first then ask for payment.
They held you hostage style to pay or your photos will be here and you can’t do anything about it.

It said 3 day free trial. I thought I’d try it, it immediately overdraft my checking acct which I only use for bills. I’ve got cancer and am having surgery on Wednesday and now have to worry about an overdraft from a dumb app

Horrible experience it never unlocked my pictures after I purchased for a year. TOTAL RIP OFF I’m trying to get a refund I only had it for 3 days. And RetakeAI does nothing at all.

This is the worst app ever. Do not download. Do not waste your time. You download your favorite 15 photos to add and it likes 3 your photos and the other 12 does not meet the requirements it will give you an error message that says restricted and won’t go no further, photos need to be clearer. ANNOYING AND AGGRAVATING APP. Save you the time. Straight Garbage

This mother-“suckers” get you to sign for the “free” trial with an automatic $3.99 a week subscription after three days. But once you have si gana for the trial, there is no wAy to cancel the stupid trial. There is no option in he app for the cancellation. DON’T SIGN FOR THE TRIAL, IT’s A SCAM!

Don’t waste your money. It just replaces faces with preloaded images of yourself. Totally NOT worth it. Plus I’ve sent multiple emails asking for a refund and so far it’s been a week with ZERO response.

I'm sadly writing to express my disappointment with RetakeAI. Unfortunately, it hasn't met my expectations. One of the main issues I've encountered is with the photo feature. The "add pictures" option sounds great, but the reality is far from it. The pictures I've added are not glamourous at all! In fact, they're blurry and low-quality.

I was hoping for a more polished and refined output, but RetakeAI failed to deliver. The blurry images really take away from the overall experience, making it hard for me to enjoy using RetakeAI .

- Improve image quality and clarity
- Enhance the photo editing features
- Consider adding more filters or effects to make the pictures more visually appealing

*Overall:* I hope the developers will take my feedback into consideration and make necessary improvements to enhance the user experience. Until then, I'll be hesitant to use RetakeAI regularly.

I can really say the ai before is way better than the new updated ai because now my photos look crazy way to much ai is being put on the face and lips nose ring dont look clear. I dont look the same in all my photos for some reason the photo is trying to match exact my face then it messes up the ai now I don’t like RetakeAI at all due to the new update will be rating this a 2 star till they change the ai back to the last one they had this one look way to enhanced and u can clearly tell is full ai change this

Photography definitely distorts people's appearance, especially with HD digital and to actually fix this would be an incredible accomplishment. The depth perception isn’t there and so everything gets stretched as it flattens. A 2D map of the world will never be as accurate as a globe. People don’t realize this and they get expensive and permanent plastic surgery in an attempt to compensate. I like the idea to try and fix this but RetakeAI doesn’t do it. That’s not to say that it won’t improve your pictures it just doesn’t fix the photographic distortion effect. You can definitely get a better looking picture of yourself with this but it’s not a miracle app. 2.5 Stars

Pretty cool that it’s so accurate on the face but not so cool on the hair color. It’s off in every single one - can it not mimic the correct hair color to make it look more realistic? Decided not to renew since I can’t seem to figure out how to change that.

Have tried this several times with different pictures of myself. I have short very light blonde hair, and every picture is generated with long, dark hair and not usable. You should be able to pick your hair color and style for more accurate ai generation. Also, why are there only long dark hair options? Seems a little biased.

RetakeAI is easy to use. However, once you’ve used it and gone through the pictures, it does not get updated enough to be worth the money for you to purchase. Plus it only does just your picture it will not do other pictures that you are taking of other people it really has a long way to go, it is fun the pictures are great but it promises a lot more than it delivers I have already written one review but you don’t answer and you don’t correct and when I go back and look at all the other reviews, you only answer the ones you like you don’t answer the ones that are real issues. Is it time for all of us to start screaming to apple that RetakeAI needs to be removed

I am like totally ticked that. RetakeAI only works for one person. It does not read that way in the description so we paid for nothing but a one time wonder because you don’t update anything for different or original other pictures I am not going to shut up so it’s time for you to start answering some questions.

Computational power. I get it. But, so, couples? Families. You can only improve photos of one person in your family per week? Does it handle group photos? No sign of that yet. Seems like it might be a perfect app for a solo content maker, but duos, families, seems like RetakeAI won’t be very useful to you. I paid for the year subscription in hopes that the developers will realize this deficiency quickly and improve it. At least allow multiple profiles within RetakeAI so you could do single transformations of multiple people in your family.

Last suggestion for now…user choice. It’s cool you do Christmas theme. Lots of people like Christmas. But what if I want just a snowy winter theme without Christmas and without red and green?

It’s a lot of fun but you can’t reset your training photos after you install RetakeAI . Even if you uninstall and reinstall it.

I love RetakeAI , don’t want to make it about race it’s really good. But if your black it’s not a lot for you. It’s only two stencils and if you want to really be aggressive, you can use any stencil that has a hat and it might work but if there’s any hair sticking out your cover is blown outside of that anybody from any other ethnicities should not have an issue using RetakeAI.

Paid for RetakeAI cause I like most of the features. There was one that was missing in my settings so I emailed support twice (once a week ago and another a few days ago to follow up) and there’s been ZERO replies. Not even to acknowledge they’ve received my message. Don’t pay for unless you’re perfectly ok with its current version.

I’m not naturally photogenic at all so you can imagine how many times people have taken pictures of me and I’ve always been self conscious and wanted them to delete the pic. RetakeAI isn’t that bad. I guess with the way A.I is going you might as well just get RetakeAI if you’re self aware that you make weird faces in photo’s. At least that’s where I’m coming from.

There have been multiple times throughout the years where I’ll love a picture however there’s something off about my face. I’ve tried in the past to use other apps to replace my face using a picture where I like my face. However I’m mediocre at best at my photoshop skills. RetakeAI does exactly what I want it to (with obviously some not so great results but that’s expected with AI). The biggest problem I have with RetakeAI is the inability to reselect different pictures of my face to use as a reference. Even if I redownload RetakeAI is uses the previously picked references. Overall this is an app I’d be willing to spend money on in the future if these updates occur.

Ok so I just signed up for free trial. I don’t take many selfies, just not that kind of guy but I guess I’m going to be searching archive of folders. AI function is on point but but you have start with some great up close pics ready to create a profile, wish I knew that could have taken pics then created account 🤣 4/5 because I don’t haven’t fully explored the content.

RetakeAI has some amazing features that could help you out in a bind when there’s something off about your face that you need to adjust. I give it a 7/10 because it had difficulty reading my favorite self portraits, but had an okay time reading my Snapchat selfies. I love the application and will be using again in the near future.

I just downloaded RetakeAI and so far I’m having a lot of fun using it. I look really good but not every situation is realistic. I might like options to have more than one person in the photo or make it more ridiculous so I feel less weird using it.

I think this program is very good at what it does. So far, I am very happy with it. My one complaint is the limitation of training your model every seven days. I understand. It takes a lot of computational power to do this. I’ve used other programs that charge a small fee to train a new model. I wish this program would do the same.

I think the apps really good and changes lots of my bad photos, but I feel like it doesn’t give me lots of options. You should obviously download RetakeAI but just telling you it helped me a lot when I didn’t have great photos so I didn’t have to delete good memories, this is probably the best Retake app I’ve ever downloaded though I love it so so so much read my review because I’m not giving it for strives because it’s bad that is just my honest opinion but I love RetakeAI like forever so make sure I download RetakeAI because it’s the best free app I’ve ever gottenso download download download

This software is by far superior then many many others that are currently on the market. I have quite a few AI related apps and this one really takes the cake. I have to remind myself of that when subscribing to the pro version. Software that is this keen shouldn’t be free, but I do love the fact that I got a free trial. Before the free trial, I was really unsure because there’s just so many different AI apps out there.

Downloaded RetakeAI about a week or two ago and just got around to trying it.
The set up process was a little tedious because unlike the majority of the population, I don’t take a ton of selfies. I just don’t think I am very photogenic. I thought maybe RetakeAI would make me feel better about taking and possibly posting more pictures of myself. It worked pretty good. I will have to take better selfies to use because RetakeAI is pretty specific about the photos it uses. Example: it has to be a somewhat close, full picture of your face, one asked for a picture of me smiling. I just don’t have a ton of those pictures. In time, with more pictures I should see improvement and better quality. But this has nothing to do with RetakeAI . Users that do have the content required should have no problem.

I have downloaded RetakeAI probably 3 weeks ago and it works really good!! Until I downloaded it back and I put all my pictures on it and it was saying to put a “ai bowl” which I already did and it didn’t show up… I didn’t wanna pay so I deleted it and downloaded it back again , and I went through the same process again but wouldn’t show my pictures at ALL.. can u tell me what it is?

Saw RetakeAI on tiktok and was confused as to how it retakes. Basically you chose 10 of your favorite pics of yourself and upload them. Then you choose the pic you want to enhance or change and it shows you 10 retakes to choose from! I used it on pics of my granddaughter who is a wobbler and it worked! It’s a bit airbrushed but still looks amazing!

RetakeAI literally made a photo of myself with my hair covering over 75% of my face & blended it to make a photo that shows my whole face while making it look 100% realistic, so it will literally fool anyone into assuming it was the original picture that was never edited by RetakeAI. LITERALLY AMAZING!!!! 5 STARS!!!! I’ve never felt so overwhelmed & so eager in rating 5 stars to app with such confidence as I did with this one!

RetakeAI hardly works. I’ve uploaded so many different pictures and about 9 out 10 times it’ll suggest I find a different picture to edit because they can’t do it. Or if you have absolutely ANYTHING that remotely even looks like a boob or cleavage they will deny the edit and say it’s inappropriate. I would steer away from RetakeAI content creators. Save your time and money. Not worth it.

I normally never leave app reviews and I think most photo editing apps are junk but this one is actually pretty amazing! My first impression from ads I saw on TikTok led me to believe people were editing their photos to look not like themselves (like using those beauty filters) which I thought was dumb.

But when I realized it’s actually using your own photos to edit the pictures, wow, how genius! I’m rarely photogenic and I took some photos at an event I really wanted to post but was embarrassed at how my face turned out in the photos. After using RetakeAI I was able to basically replace my weird facial experience with a decent one I had taken in the past! Wow!

RetakeAI is worth it.

Creating my AI profile was easy. Retaking a photo was easy, too. It really fixed the photo! I like how you can fix yourself in ugly photos with your face from a better photo instead. It still your face used to fix the photo. If you’re like me and you have a super difficult time taking photos you need this. I mess up my smile in 9 out of every 10 pictures 😄.

This site is awesome. It does fabulous work on retaking these photos and changing them into something else. If you can afford to do it I can’t. I’m on a limited income and I just can’t afford to pay but if you can it it’s awesome.

Really love the effects, love that you get to see each and every redo that each have slight differences, and you train this on what you like or not by giving each one a thumbs up if you like it and thumbs down if you don’t care for it, then you’re training AI on what your preferences are and it will improve and keep improving as you express your likes and dislikes. Overall, very impressed.

I have a very special picture with a friend I asked another friend to take with my phone. He quickly took ONE and said it looked okay. When
I got where I could look at it, I can honestly say it was one of the worst pictures of myself I’ve ever seen! Too late for a retake. I tried to fix the awful look on my face and change my open mouth to no avail. I then sent it to a family member who works with making videos every day and can edit any mistakes. He said he tried but couldn’t make it look good and the coloring would be way off.
I said there just has to be a way. Sticker another head! Then going through some emails, BINGO! There was an ad for “Retake” doing exactly what I was hoping could be done!
I downloaded it and chose about 15 pictures from my saved pictures and within a few minutes a much improved picture of me and You absolutely cannot tell changes were made! It is amazing! Several pictures are there to slide back and forth and watch expressions change and also the way I am facing, each looking great and blended in the perfect position! I was going to take it to a studio and ask someone to please help! The Free Trial will convince anyone!

so far, Retake has been nothing short of phenomenal. exceeded my expectations which (let’s be real) weren’t high to begin with. what makes it different from other filter fixing photo applications? it’s not editing your face with a false filter. it is editing your face based on past pictures of YOUR FACE. Retake doesn’t make you look like someone else (or someone that resembles you but is slightly to moderately better looking), Retake does exactly what’s in the title: it gives you a re-take. so strike a pose and smile! because even if the pressure is on to take the perfect photo at those family functions or graduation ceremonies, Retake has got you just in case you blink.

RetakeAI is totally amazing! I am absolutely obsessed with it!! I am 51 years old and I have been ruining photographs for as long as I can remember!! I am just not a photogenic person. RetakeAI allows me to effortlessly fix my weird faces and closed eyes in all of my photos! It NEVER looks edited or fake in any way whatsoever. It uses REAL photos of me to create flawless pics every time! It’s also so much fun to play around and create photos of yourself that are so realistic, nobody would ever know that they’re AI! I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I had a couple selfies I took, I liked them all except my face so I never posted them. I re-did them using the AI feature and I’m blown away… it’s my face 😭😭😭 just a full face of makeup but my face, so it’s not even cheating. It looks so natural, just insane

Amazing app! Helps my sister and me alot! It’s crazy how smooth it can be! Definitely 10/10 recommend. I have no issue with the 7 day avatar retrain limitation! I would however suggest maybe being able to have multiple avatars. Would make RetakeAI even better! Awesome work!

I saw this on instagram and was a little skeptical at first, but once you go through the ai training process by selecting pictures you’ve previously looked good in, it just lets you re apply that good face pose in any photo. So it does what it’s supposed to which means it’s a 5 star from me.

I LOVE RetakeAI honestly. The only two things that could make it better is 1. Being able to access your favorites easier, and 2. Being able to have more than one ai model. I’d love to retake my friends in photos as well.

I will say it’d be nice if a feature was added where we could do multiple faces in one photo. For instance there’s a picture of my dad and I that I like how my face looks but he has his eyes closed! He’s a stroke survivor and paralyzed on his right side so I promise you he’s not going to be downloading any apps to do it himself. So just an idea! Thank you!

I love RetakeAI but don’t like the sensor. Maybe only sensor if someone wants to share their photos but not when they are just making a photo for personal use.

i thought it would make my pictures look ai generated but it actually looks completely real and even gives you multiple retake options for your pictures so you can choose the one you like the best. W app :33

The pictures a much better pictures than the ones I took with my phone but still, dont know how to use RetakeAI , I choo20 pictures before, did it twice and it said I’ll be notified abd nothing happened, I got back and have to choose the pictures again for the 3 er time, no funny at all.

I always manage to look like I have gas in the photos that matter most but take a great picture when it’s any other random moment. Retake has elevated my photos and helped reshape graduation pictures and family photos that I normally would not post or print. And it looks so natural ❤️

I love that you can keep doing photo retakes until you find the one you like. So far, not complicated at all as some of my other photo apps get to complicated. if you’re looking to do photo retakes, I highly recommend this application. loving it! Well done!!

I’m a new mom and hardly have any good pics with my baby. This fixed her crazy expression in one of our only photos! There were so many options to choose from too and they all look just like her!! Would never notice. 10/10!
