Does not work

I recently downloaded this design app with high hopes, but I was left thoroughly disappointed. The user interface is clunky and unintuitive, making it frustrating to navigate. I found myself constantly searching for features that should be easily accessible, which completely disrupted my workflow.

The templates offered are outdated and far from inspiring. I expected to find a diverse array of modern design options, yet most of them felt generic and uninspired. Additionally, the customization options are limited, making it difficult to create anything truly unique.

I also encountered several bugs during my time using HomeAI . It crashed multiple times, causing me to lose my progress, which is incredibly frustrating. Customer support was slow to respond and didn’t seem to take my concerns seriously.

Overall, HomeAI did not meet my expectations and has been more of a headache than a helpful tool. I would not recommend it to anyone serious about design. There are far better options available elsewhere. Save your time and look for alternatives!

Expected to get to select different options outside of their one offering for each design genre. Just gives one look instead of letting you select different colors, textures etc.

The pictures are more fantasy than real . Dimensions and set up of the furniture is not realistic .
I would love to get some different arrangement in furniture but the furniture didn’t change in any rendering , just the colors and materials .

I’ve tried and tried to get it to work correctly and it is not even showing me all the options I’m having to delete and reload

In order for AI to capture what a client wants, more categories and more probing questions should be implemented. I upload a image of my room and the system would not provide realistic designs. If I have a door to the right why exchange it with a window. I want to capture the realistic image. Also, the system is one dimensional and uses the same design in most of the images. I am glad I choose 4dollars a wk. I will definitely end this plan today, not I downloaded HomeAI today.

I just recently downloaded HomeAI. Was unable to download picture of the room as it would t do anything when I clicked on button. I tried to rate HomeAI and same thing happened. I even emailed the company and no response. So a waste of $5. Don’t download. Doesn’t work and not worth the money to try it.

I just bought HomeAI without trying it out first, which was my bad for being trusting. I paid more than $40 for a year, only to be told the first time I tried it that they were at capacity and I couldn’t use it. Took my money, didn’t provide what I paid for. Do not buy HomeAI. Let me be a cautionary tale.

HomeAI is TERRIBLE. After providing an image of your desired area it generates an image that does not correlate to the room. For example, it added a window to the space where there is no window and nothing else. If you try to “regenerate” it shows the same image again. Wish I would’ve read the reviews before spending $4.99!

Does not actually recreate anything with original photo. Just holds the same “shape” and perimeter of the room and replaces it with a magazine photo type deal. Did not work, AT ALL. Better off clearing your space and trying to find furniture with the “see it in your room” option if you have to.

I got the paid version, thinking it would be better, it is a terrible app. The renderings don’t even use the same room. It shouldn’t even require you to upload a picture because it just generates terrible design images that are random.

Within 2 hours of making my year subscription HomeAI froze and said we’re experiencing technical difficulties and ever since then it stopped working on me. I definitely wasted money on such a lame app. The hype on the Instagram add was totally not worth it.

You upload your pic, choose a room & style and it gives you a pic of a completely different room with different wall structures too. So lame. I want a refund. You’re better off going to Home Depot or Lowe’s website. Upload your pic there. You can changed floors, walls, ceiling, cabinets of your own home.

HomeAI claims to redesign your actual space, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Instead of providing a realistic representation of your room, it generates images of other rooms that look nothing like yours.

I expected to see ideas and designs tailored to my specific space, but instead, I was met with unrealistic photos that felt disconnected from the reality of my home. It’s frustrating to spend money on something that doesn’t deliver on its promises. If you're looking for a tool to genuinely redesign your room, I suggest looking elsewhere. HomeAI has been the worst purchase I’ve ever made, and I regret spending my money on it. Save yourself the trouble!

When searching play store and/or Apple Store it comes up as a free app, after downloading is when they try to charge you a weekly/monthly and/or yearly subscription/management fee.
I was turned off by that and decided not to even try HomeAI . So many apps are misleading and/or not even updated. It’s disappointing bc I’m sure there’s plenty of good room design apps out there, it just takes time to sift through the garbage, like with so many others on the market. I’m lot a cheap person, I’ll pay for a decent app with no complaints but when you mislead from the beginning it immediately makes me go another alternate route. Perhaps in the future I’ll try again but for now it’s a hard pass

Doesn’t capture my tv being a “tv” it generates it to be a window.

Tried the free version. Was able to use it without any real problem but after trying each option for example, modern, beach, etc. one time, then I needed to pay to continue using HomeAI , which I did. It never worked after paying for it. I sent a message via HomeAI ’s ‘contact us if you have any problems’ to ask for assistance. They say you will receive a response within 48 hours but I received nothing! I paid 2 instalments hoping to hear back from someone but nothing for 10 days; after which I gave up and deleted HomeAI and cancelled my subscription. I know it has good ratings so perhaps I was just unlucky but something to keep in mind.

I really don’t understand the ratings for HomeAI being so high. HomeAI does not do what it had claim to do. It just shows you a restyled version of your current room regardless if that’s what you wanted to do or not, I had to purchase the free trial in order to try it and even after doing that it only let me do it once and now just keep loading and taking me back to the home screen, I cannot even get a second picture from HomeAI. The reviews on this must be fake or bought somehow because HomeAI is awful.

The idea is great but the technology doesn’t work.
HomeAI only give you 6 options (modern, creative, luxurious, etc). Once you upload the picture it takes over 10 second to give you 1 option. You do not have the option to edit it and to get another picture you need to regenerate it and way another 10 second. However, HomeAI kept giving the me the same image over and over with very small changes. It makes no sense and it’s a waste of time.

I was so excited to try this given I just purchased a new home and want to make it my own. I thought this was a neat app, which it is in theory. The AI generated rooms are so bad it’s laughable. First of all, why have me upload a picture of the room then change the walls and flooring too with minimal actual decor. Also, if you chose the minimalist theme, it will literally add a singular piece of furniture to the room and call it a day lol. I’ve never canceled a free trial for an app so fast! This is actually one of my first reviews too, so that’s how unhappy I was.

I tried using HomeAI and only once did it generate a design and the design looked nothing like the actual photo I took. When I switched the design and room, I tried over 20 minutes and it wouldn’t generate.
Kept getting Error message to take or upload the wall horizontally which is exactly what I did. The entire room is hugs and was not able to get a cell photo with all 4 walls.
But the advertisement photo also did not show all 4 walls.
Don’t waste the space on your hard drive .

I saw ads for HomeAI, and thought that it was really gonna give me some sort of a virtual makeover for certain areas in my home, it does not. It finds random pictures from random homes and gives you that as inspo. I don’t need to look at pictures of the style I want, I was looking for ideas for a specific area in my home, and it showed me something completely different than what the shape of the structure I’m dealing with actually is. Complete waste of money.

Basically you upload a single photo of a room and it changes the color of some of the things you have, or turns some of your furniture into random things; like the bow I have mounted on my wall? That is now a stick with some leaves growing off it..
also it only let me generate one room for free before it blocked me from using HomeAI without paying the ridiculous fee.
Don’t bother downloading HomeAI, you will just delete it a few minutes later.

You can only do 3 photos a day,that too for each style you have to upload a separate picture it’s not like you clicked once and then you can try different styles which is inconvenient and also you can click only one specific part /wall of the room it doesn’t give panoramic clicking so either way that doesn’t allow you to have a full idea .HomeAI is a waste of time don’t even bother with it

I was super excited getting HomeAI hoping it would help me decor my apartment. I downloaded immediately. I took a picture of my living room space thinking that it was going to take my pictures and give me the idea on how my space would look. NO. What it does it gives you pictures of random spaces. Canceling before they start charging me for something worthless, for that I can search pictures at Pinterest.

I downloaded this and paid for the full version thinking it would be able to actually understand what was already going on in the picture. Everything it generates is very random and things don’t make sense. It doesn’t have a setting for an entryway, and was adding windows in the bathroom and removing the toilet. HomeAI is just not ready for people to use. The AI is not advanced enough. I want a refund.

Really wanted to try this out. Signed up for the 2 day free trial just to see how I’d like it and it was looking promising till it was “loading” for over 5 minutes only to come back with “we’re under maintenance. HomeAI is too popular and it’s too crowded at this time to process your request.” Bummer. I did see it came back with an image of my bathroom but it wouldn’t let me close the pop up screen to view it.

Literally the dumbest app I’ve ever seen… Was so excited to get some inspiration for our front room. It literally doesn’t even take into account anything…
Where the windows are…or doors are etc. it just shows you random pictures… which I could look up on Pinterest. Plus, it doesn’t even have normal styles… the styles are like rainbow and wood…like what??
I love the idea, but they did a horrible job with HomeAI.

I’ve had HomeAI for 5 days and it’s been not working for 4 of them. Disappointed wish I could get my money back

Doesn’t even generate your actual image that you upload. They just have a new picture pop up

I don’t like HomeAI because it only shows you a room configuration that is exactly how your furniture is already arranged. It never switches up furniture arrangement. So all it does is change fabric / design but your room configuration stays the same.
Also, I just got HomeAI and after using it for 15 minutes, I’m locked out due to “high volume usage” and maintenance.
I want money back

HomeAI doesn’t not work. I asked for Modern living room and it put pillows in the TV unit and removed the TV. And regenerate made it worse.

HomeAI doesn’t do anything but take your money!! It’s nothing their doing and when ask to regenerate another design HomeAI gives you the same exact picture again!! Nothing is helpful about this. No decor ideas NOTHING. Please don’t waste your money!!

I finally gave in and paid for the weekly subscription… 7-8 pictures later and HomeAI has been “down for maintenance” for the past 6 hours. It’s a cute little scam they’re running here!

The pics of my house look nothing like the renders and then when you try to re-render it brings up the same pic. I can get the same value out of a magazine- am I missing something?

Every time I refresh you a different design I just get the same one over and over again.

Designs are horrible… Does not let you scan room as previewed on Ad. Suggestions do not change if you pick the same style, as shown in Ad. There isn’t an area in HomeAI that allows you to rate the suggestion, so that it is not shown again. It completely blanks out windows and replaces them with walls. HomeAI is very basic, and is not as portrayed in advertisement. Would rather not have wasted my money.The idea of HomeAI is good, but there are obviously some bugs that still need to be worked out in HomeAI.

App would not let me click design button!

I picked modern for a dining room. It gave me a whole kitchen cabinet and sink in a dining room. Make it make sense. I asked to redesign my living room it basically says to close up my window like remove the entire thing.

I don’t recommend HomeAI, the generated rooms are very generic, nothing you would actually use to decorate your room. I definitely wasted my money. 10/10 DON’T RECOMMEND

Don’t waste your time or money the worst technology I’ve ever seen in my life. Not even realistic.

HomeAI is constantly in maintenance.

Does not make the room look anything like what the actual space is. You would think it would at least leave the structural integrity of the space like windows and walls. Also the examples of the options do not look anything like what you would think. They are drawn out of proportion.

Every single picture I uploaded had the criteria that they specify (a full view of the horizontal wall) and my results were all just so far off from the space that I had uploaded (windows missing, fireplace gone, completely different angles of a room (I would give flat wall, they gave me a corner). You’re better off just searching the room style, elements, and type in Pinterest. NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!

I did a couple of redesigns with the free version. As soon as I paid and tried to continue, it stopped working. Days on end it’s down for maintenance. Another couple days of this and I’ll be asking for my money back

I’m confused how HomeAI has 4.5 stars. All of the bad reviews are accurate. I didn’t believe them so I had to download and test this for myself. The unpaid version gives you 3 designs (albeit you have to watch ads) all of MY designs were exactly the same. They all had the same exact designs with 2 stove/ovens but no refrigerator. These designs are unrealistic and also a waste of time considering you think you’ll get 3 different designs for watching ads - mine were all exactly the same. 11/10 do not recommend HomeAI.

The free version allows you to upload a pic, choose the room type and the style you want, but HomeAI freezes and won’t let you scroll to hit the “redesign” button. I’ll be deleting HomeAI now.

Don’t bother with HomeAI. Took my money and produced nothing more then an upload and no realistic photo rendering. save your money.

This just takes pictures of a room. It has nothing to do with the photo you take. A total waste of money!!

I thought it would take my room and add furniture to match a desired style. Instead, all HomeAI does is to pull up pictures of random homes with a room of loosely similar shape decorated according to their random “styles” many of which are not realistic (eg punk, creepy, etc.)

HomeAI has you upload a photo and the. Shows a design in a room that looks nothing like the photo that was uploaded. What’s the point of that exactly?

I found annoying that it doesn't give you the option to create different designs from the same photo. You have to upload the photo if you want to change the style and generate a new image. Also you can't get different variations of one style like other apps. HomeAI need more development

It doesn’t allow me to design a room. Just showing minimal looks

HomeAI doesn’t have enough design to incorporate. It is really basic with just few options. It doesn’t even give an option of color texture I want a room to design. Just generates few similar kind of options.

This needs years of advancement. Nothing is a real design practical in a space. It shoot outs random patterns and colors that have no definition or direction as described.

Maybe it’s gotten really popular but it crashed this morning and hasn’t been back online since.. otherwise a very decent app for what it does

I was hoping to see my own room designed but it would pull up something similar. This would be ok except it had about 2 options per design (if you like minimalist, it would only have 2 options for your bathroom) and most of the time it wouldn’t generate any photo saying “we are under maintenance” and to try later. It has the ability to be amazing but it doesn’t deliver. Glad I only tried the free trial bc I would be bummed if I paid for this.

This game for me would not let me delete it also when it was very stressful, because for me, it didn't work the way that I wanted it to when I took a picture it just had stuff everywhere not even close to a room.

First day I got it, it was down on a Friday night, can only imagine on weekdays. The restore option keeps giving the same style, same design pretty much. I such you could pick colors and object and customize accordingly

It should redo the room exactly where the windows and doors are, but HomeAI removes doors and windows so you can’t get any ideas of how your room would look differently. And once you’ve done, for example to Mediterranean look, it will only let you see it two or three different ways it can look and that’s it. Not the bet app.

Just takes a picture and nothing else. I got catfished!
