Latest update killed photo food logging

Update: Okay, so I offloaded the app, restarted the phone, reinstalled the app, and now the app won’t function at all. Trying to open it just gets me a white page with the progress circle just going round and round. I am going to have to find a more reliable app for now.
iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 18.1.1. Updated Brink and the update broke the camera photo food logging. Tried several times to take photo of food, but app locked up each time and no photo entered the app. So……1 star for now. TW, I also downloaded this app when the free lifetime offer was made. I went through the process to get it free, and then a few days later, I was no longer a premium member somehow. When I contacted the dev, they acted like I was lying. It is the same reaction I see to others complaining of the issue. The customer service seems to be lacking. I do like the app, but there are others with devs that provide “nicer” support. Maybe give the people who complain about the free process failing right around the time the app was offered for free, the benefit of the doubt?
Free Lifetime Offer Not Honored

Yesterday (11/6) there was a promotion through AppAdvice to get a lifetime subscription free. All you had to do was download the app, onboard and select the promotion.
But unfortunately, that didn’t work, and the screens stop advancing immediately, so the option wasn’t available. Tried it on both my iPhone and iPad with up-to-date iOS. Tried contacting Kyle through support link, but that just linked to the privacy policy. So I hope I can get some help here!
Doesn’t work

I downloaded the app. When I opened it, it only goes mid way of the opening page. Doesn’t allow to scroll next or open the app fully. I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled it still not working.
