I didn’t have a choice in using this app to connect the Honeywell T6 in my new build. I didn’t think their apps could get any worse than the TCC app we used at the old house on an older model with fewer bells and whistles, but this one is worse. Setup was TERRIBLE - you get asked ~20 questions about your heating system that no homeowner knows - I had my system’s manual in front of me and couldn’t answer the questions at all! - and there’s no option to skip them. I’m not even sure what most of them are asking!!! From a UX standpoint, the app gives incorrect information about how to connect to HomeKit, telling me to use a menu item that doesn’t exist on my thermostat (haven’t figured that one out yet) and it keeps bringing the enable notifications dialog modal up to go to my settings 2-3x every minute or so which I have already said “Don’t Allow”. While this looks like a native modal, the poor grammar suggests that it’s something the app designed and is using native app commands to push. Super annoying! So I can manually see and control my thermostat from the other room now; the rest of the app is terrible and it hasn’t solved my problems at all. Honeywell - you need to realize that poor UX is a huge reason why people flock to Nest instead of you. We will be replacing this unit with one in the next few weeks because of the terrible experiences.

This app constantly logs you out and uses a splash screen to log you back in with no option to remember your log in info. I bet in the 6 months I’ve been using the app it has logged me about 20-30 times and I am not exaggerating. The app cycle reporting is not helpful at all. Setting a schedule is not intuitive at all and requires you to delete the schedule if you need to make a minor tweek.
It would be helpful to have an on demand heat button that was customizable
To raise the heat say, 2 or 3 degrees or run for 30 mins exc without pausing the schedule to the next interval. For example, you wake up in the middle of the night and your cold press the on-demand heat button for 30 minutes and go back to sleep without worrying about it keeping a constant temperature all night long which would require the furnace to cycle on and off.

Where do we switch from C to f on the app?? I’ve been looking everywhere and cannot find the switch. It’s driving me nuts! Please help
Follow up: I finally figured it out, if you iPhone is by default in Celsius it will show Celsius. There is no toggle switch within the app, which is terrible design. So to fix it, go to settings and at the top search « temperature » and the first option will show you what’s the iPhone preferred unit for temp, and you can switch to wherever you want.
The developers need to put a switch in the app, in the settings section.
