Decibel Meter Plus Pro Reviews

Sound level meters are high cost items, and so I jumped at the chance to have one via a low-cost app. In addition to general interest use, it was quite helpful in evaluating noise level in cars. It is a keeper.

App does exactly what I originally wanted. I like the digital presentation, Along with a running graph. A few lines on the graph to show the various levels of sound (ie. normal, loud, & harmful) would be welcome additions. Another addition would be a date/time stamp on the MAX reading.

Always knew the wife and kids where giving me head ache and now I know why, there way over 120 db x that buy hours of exposure , way over the guide lines listed , and is dangerous to ones health ,

I have no idea how technically accurate or precise it is but it certainly gives me the relative sound pressure levels I want to measure. I haven't had any negative issues to date.

I agree with some of the other reviewers who point out it does tend to be and rather inaccurate until you adjusted it

DecibelMeterPlusPro seem nice, but as having to pay for it, it was a rip-off because it was offered as an APPSONFREE selection. For several hours, every time I tried to download it, I received a message stating that it was being modified. I tried to write a review and complain, couldn't unless BOUGHT IT! When I was finally able to down load it after purchasing it, I got to write ths review.

Was very useful for sound survey around the house and outside. Gives a good indication of db levels where repeatability is more useful than accuracy.

Where are the instructions on Sleep, Calibration, Sensitivity? Sure it works as far as measuring every sound, but I want more than one big report. Maybe it does more in the "sleep" mode.... Maybe only shows exceptions..... But who knows? How to I increase max?

This is a nice tool that will give you an idea about the noise level, but even in a dead quiet room DecibelMeterPlusPro consistently reports sound levels at 50 Db.
I would like to see a saved calibration feature that would zero the meter.

And upgrading to iPhone 5s did nothing to improve accuracy.

It’s good to use DecibelMeterPlusPro from time if you value you ears. It’s easy to use. It can give you a new perspective on sound.

Super app. Easy to use with no apparent bugs. I have not calibrated it yet for accuracy. The only improvement to DecibelMeterPlusPro would be to increase the
max level to 130 or 140 db range.

The pro app is great. I'm working in a building where a worker on a swing stage is using a rotary hammer on a structural column next to my desk.
After measuring the sound level I purchased hearing protection.

Hearing loss is no joke.
I used to run a CNC Router, 127 DB.
My wife thought I wore the hearing protection to avoid hearing her yelling at me. I explained I was wearing hearing protection so as to preserve my hearing for just those special moments.
I also named my sailboat Si Quedida.

Decible Meter Pro is a fully loaded tool for measuring sound pressure.
Not a sound engineer? Neither am I. But you'll be surprised just how many uses it has.

Now I know why the godam birds are so obnoxious in the morning. 85 to 95 dB in my backyard. I did manage to get a 165 dB thunder clap with a different meter but this one maxed out way below that

Interesting app

I live with a health condition known as hyperacusis, which is sensitivity to normal noise. DecibelMeterPlusPro has been very helpful in navigating potentially noisy situations.

Simple, fast and it's accurate.

I installed DecibelMeterPlusPro and it seemed fine until I made the mistake of tapping on the number 1 in the upper right corner and was asked to rate DecibelMeterPlusPro . Now I can't get back to DecibelMeterPlusPro itself.
