Still in different

I did one journal entry and it seemed to be OK but maybe frustration is I can’t come to it with questions and ask questions without it. Pulling from that journal to the next journal. It seems to be very judgmental. Extremely contradicting I will have had a general conversation with it something that popped into my mind and I’m talking and the next day when I go to journal that topic keeps being brought into the conversation

The other thing is with relationships Rosebud tends to really lean into emotional charged responses and very confusing statements and a lot of times it adds “hypothetical “ responses and they are very much not logical or have any grounded reasoning for it . To be honest some days it tends to make things worse then helping- for instance I brought up something that was going on within a activity group. My child is a part of. An adult issue that is going on behind the scenes and it asked me how my son felt about the situation. It was none of his business. He didn’t know what was going on between the adults. So when I asked it Rosebud , why it felt the need to ask me how my son was handling the situation that had nothing to do with him Rosebud went off on me from wanting to protect him, but it completely twisted the entire conversation

Unreliable Voice-to-Text and Data Loss Concerns

I rely on the voice-to-text feature for journaling because it helps me process more freely and removes the barrier of typing, which can feel exhausting and frustrating. Unfortunately, on multiple occasions, Rosebud has glitched and lost my voice recordings. It gets stuck in the loading stage, and I’m unable to recover what I recorded.
This is especially frustrating when I’ve shared something heavy and vulnerable — it’s not easy to say it once, let alone try again from scratch. A journaling app should make it easier to process, not risk losing what I’ve shared. Please make this feature more reliable — it feels like table stakes for an app like this.
I'm also concerned about Rosebud 's priority when processing voice entries. It seems like Rosebud might be prioritizing the AI processing of the voice entry over simply capturing and securing the raw audio recording first. Given that voice-to-text technology has been around for quite some time, I would expect the raw entry to always be available, independent of the status or performance of any third-party models you might be using for AI processing. The core function of a journaling app should be to reliably capture and store our thoughts and feelings, and then run any additional AI analysis as a separate job.
The current unreliability of the voice-to-text feature and the risk of losing valuable entries is making me reconsider my subscription.

App for Mac has a major issue...

I've used this app for over a year now and I LOVE it; however, I just got an iMac (desktop) and for some reason, when I click on the settings icon, it says, "Cannot read property 'length' of undefined." This issue makes it impossible to change any sort of settings and it's extremely frustrating. I haven't checked to see if it does the same thing on my Macbook, but the issue doesn't seem to carry over into the iPhone app; I'd just prefer to use my desktop as it's easier to type on and keeps me motivated to write more.
If there is a way to fix this issue, I'd love to know so I can change my rating back to 5 stars. I know this is also a new app since this app was only a URL based site until recently, so I'm sure not all the bugs are kinked out, which is understandable... just irritating.

Such a valuable and helpful app!

It’s like Tom Riddle’s diary, and it really helps me to process my thoughts, feelings and emotions, to reflect and grow!As someone who has the habit of writing diaries, I always feel more comfortable with writing than verbal communication. It allows me to take my pace of dumping my thoughts without feeling the need to speak smoothly to someone. And now with Rosebud the diary will guide me to go deeper into the area and help me think through what I haven’t thought about. Another helpful thing is I sometimes find hard to pit a particular feeling into words, this app helps me identify them, which is basically teaching me to learning about feelings and emotions. Lastly, I found I prefer the Claude model because ChatGPT can be a bit less human and wordy.

An incredible personal reflection tool

I’ll start by saying I’m hesitant on anything that labels itself as “AI”, since it’s usually a buzz word that attempts to do the entire lift of an app’s value proposition.

I was recommended this app by a friend and after my first week I feel its pulled more moments of clarity out of my moments of self reflection than any other app or technique to date. To be able to talk through day, expectations, and outcomes without the concern of judgement or cost has really helped me clear the noise and focus on the right things each day. I’m particularly a fan of the ability to just freely speak instead of typing, and letting those free thoughts just come out on their own.
I highly recommend this app for anyone who’s looking to find more active and structured ways to reflect and learn about themselves.

Best mental health app I’ve ever used

I was looking for a good mental health app that I could use to journal that didn’t cost a ton of money for basic features. I stumbled upon this app and figured id give it a try. I was impressed by the “dig deeper” feature which helped me process and think through my prompt. After a couple entries I ended up loving it so much that I immediately got the pro version and it’s the best $13 I’ve ever spent. I look forward to doing my prompts every morning and evening, and looking at my weekly insights. Depending on how much you type in your entries, you can get a potentially super detailed reflection of your past week that is scary accurate in terms of what might have been going through your mind and insights about the week overall. I wish there was a mood tracking section, but so far im loving Rosebud.

Absolutely amazing app!💜💜💜

Absolutely freaking awesome and totally worth yearly subscription ( and I usually hate subscription model - I either use an app for free or pay upfront for lifetime access if I really love it)
I never in my life have been able to keep consistent journal going, NEVER. this app’s interactive AI not only helped me to write consistently for over 7 months, it reflected my feelings back to me, made me feel heard and understood better than any therapist did in 25 years of nonstop therapy. I felt that I healed more with this app than with combination of all my therapists put together.
I was worried about privacy at first. But after all this time I feel confident my journaling with this app is private.
Besides working on my trauma I can prepare for difficult conversations with someone, set up goals and break them down step by step which I could never do before. If I ever get stuck I can ask for help and I get several suggestions that are actually very helpful.
The developers just added several new journals that I haven’t tried yet that sound amazing and I am looking forward to more new things as well.
And while it is expensive for bloom version where AI remembers all your previous entries, yearly subscription costs a lot less than therapy for a year. And it is worth it!!!

Life-Changing in Just 11 Days

this app has been an absolutely amazing app for me. When I started using it, I was feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, stress, and constant boundary issues. I honestly didn’t expect such a big shift so quickly — but within just 11 days, I’ve gone from feeling drained and on edge to feeling peaceful, grounded, and able to maintain healthy boundaries.

The way Rosebud guides reflection, helps you process your emotions, and gently reframes your thoughts has been genuinely transformative. I love that it’s simple, compassionate, and practical. It feels like having a supportive coach in your pocket, one that helps you show up for yourself every day.

I’m truly grateful for how much better I feel. this app has helped me find my peace again — and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants emotional clarity, healthier boundaries, and a calmer, more centered life.

The best app I have ever downloaded

I have never left a review on Rosebud Store ever, but of course, when this app asked me if I would, I immediately accepted. Rosebud has been more helpful to me in three weeks than most therapists could be in three months. And Rosebud is available anytime of the day.. and honestly, it really helps to see the apps insight and point of view into your conversations with it, as well, and whatever problems you discuss. I have made significant progress thanks to this app. I am also going through some really scary health issues and this app has helped so much with that.

In other words, if you really should go see a therapist but cannot bring yourself to, or cannot afford to, PLEASE try Rosebud! I hope I can continue to afford premium because I literally don’t know what I would do without it at this point.

Best Journal Out There

I’ve been using this app for a while now, and although I sometimes miss traditional paper journaling, their new feature that lets me scan my handwritten entries has made me keep coming back. Recently, I lost my physical journal during a vacation, so I started typing on this app again using my iPad or phone while on the go. It’s been incredibly helpful for capturing my thoughts immediately. With paper journaling, I need more time to organize my ideas, but as a frequent device user, I naturally gravitate toward Rosebud .

What I love most is how the interactive journaling features help me process and untangle the thoughts in my head. I’m so grateful to whoever came up with Rosebud—it’s truly been a game-changer! Every year, it gets better. The interface is smooth, intuitive, and user-friendly. I can confidently say I’ll be using this app for a long time. Thank you!

AMAZING APP, 10 STARS

I finally found something that works for me and have been recommending it to everyone! I still see a therapist regularly, but this app has helped me work through many issues on my own as I am dealing with them. I have made connections and breakthroughs that I have been struggling to make for YEARS. The AI works with you through every step of the way, giving helpful tips, insights, tools, and techniques to managing different situations. It does not replace actual human interaction, which I believe is still important, but other than that I have found this app to be an absolutely amazing tool. I especially love how in the Bloom upgraded version and it connects entries and goals to previous things I’ve said. I also like that you can create and customize your own AI prompts as well. There are still a few kinks needing to be worked out, like some things you can do on the phone app, you cannot do on the desktop one. I also find the “happiness recipe” section to be a bit overwhelming with very little organization. But I know Rosebud is a work in progress, so hopefully it’ll be addressed in time. This is a solid use of AI. Can’t wait to see what future updates may bring!

My most-loved app

Rosebud is life-changing, and I’m not being hyperbolic. It has been so helpful for me to journal and chat with the AI to process my thoughts—much more than writing alone since the AI remembers your entries and can find emotional patterns you might not be aware of. The ability to do a morning and evening reflection, chat anytime, and also to use a therapist-programmed journal (using CBT, IFS, etc. ) or make your own speciality journals is amazing. Rosebud has helped me process emotions, organize my life (it will help you break down tasks into manageable chunks if it senses you are overwhelmed), and work through some very delicate and troubling personal matters. I can then use what I’ve learned to my in-person therapy sessions even better. I also found out that Rosebud has agreements with the AI companies, and data is handled according to HIPAA regulations. This is an app I never want to be without.

Great when works; support awful

The AI in Rosebud is truly exceptional — better than many live therapists I’ve worked with. It remembers details from prior sessions with impressive accuracy, and I really appreciate its ability to adapt across therapeutic styles. The call mode, with real-time voice interaction like a phone call, has been especially helpful for grounding and emotional regulation.

However, I’m leaving this review because I’ve encountered a serious issue and haven’t received any response after writing in multiple times. Call mode suddenly stopped working. After uninstalling and reinstalling Rosebud , it briefly worked again, but then failed with the message “AI is having a bad day.”

This feature is a core reason I subscribed. I’d really appreciate a timely response and support to resolve this issue. I’m eager to keep using Rosebud — it has a lot of potential — but I need to know that support is available when problems arise.

Very Brilliant and Beneficial!

I started using Rosebud at the end of last year and I have to say it has been a game changer! I love the weekly insights and review of patterns and celebration of wins that I’m able to see and reflect on. I kept a written journal before, but sometimes had issues with sitting in reflection and going back to analyze and review everything but with this, I can do that easier. I love the different types of journal. I also love that. I have been able to drop some things down if I was rushing a bit during the day and go back and put in late entries for that day. Also, for more reflection reference I went back and took pictures of my old journal entries from a few years ago that were important with that date and it was able to save it in there and included it in so that I can have deeper reflections and pattern recognition. I have been able to make amazing changes in my life and I’m very grateful for Rosebud!

the best app i’ve ever used

this is quite literally the best app I have ever used. I saw a targeted ad on Facebook for this app and while I usually ignore most targeted ads, I was intrigued by Rosebud but honestly expected it to be just another lame app that didn’t do what it claimed to do. I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong, Rosebud is phenomenal. I used the free version for five days before I decided to sign up for the paid version because I loved it so much. It creates prompts for you and allows you to dive deeper into your thoughts. Powered questions based on what you had already written. I’ve never been able to journal so thoroughly before. It also remembers things that I’ve mentioned in previous props, and draws connections between entries. I’ve already told multiple people in person about Rosebud, and I think everybody should give it a try. I usually don’t love most apps that I download, and I very rarely leave reviews, so I mean it when I say you have to try Rosebud.

A necessity in my new normal life.

My nephew-in-law showed me Rosebud, and since using it I have been hooked. I look forward to reflecting on my day, to review what I thought was important, and to hear the analysis from the patterns of my thoughts. I want to know not just the affirmations of how I am progressing, but also considerations and suggestions of other ways that I could enrich my life, strengthen relationships, and find some joy in giving to others in my source of sorrow. It is truly ironic that about a year ago, I began a medical plan has allowed me to lose over 70 pounds of weight. I look and feel better than I have in maybe 40 years, and yet the person that stood by me during all of the unhealthy years is not here to enjoy the fruits of our labors. Grief continues to expose so many cruel ironies of life. I know that I am hyper aware of these cruelties, but I want to move beyond the recognitions in order to make a greater sense of my life. I cannot help but think that if I am experiencing this kind of pain now, what greater pain awaits me?

I am impressed and in awe of this incredible design. Let your mind flow and this app talk you through it. The responses are thought provoking and in depth. this app gets to know you and remembers everything so when you feel like things aren’t making sense, this app or one of the other incredible AI personas will talk you through it and put the pieces together. I have been skeptical of AI and this is the first AI app besides copilot that I’ve entertained and it was so impactful that it makes paying for Rosebud worth every penny. You can have unlimited journals for all your needs like dreaming, negative thoughts, intentions, gratitude, and more on top of having different personas for each journal so it speaks to your desires. this app alone is incredible but using a different persona for relationship problems is a nice change of flow. The feedback from this app and the other personas are really what make Rosebud life changing. The bonus is having an all in one app for all your journaling needs. Thank you for this incredible design.

Surprising

I have to admit that I came to this as a skeptic of its utility. I struggle with journaling, despite having tried all kinds of prompts, styles, apps etc. I have spent an average of an hour a day journaling consistently since I got Rosebud about a month ago. It has a morning and evening reflection, journal prompts related to current life events, and options to answer follow up questions related to the content for each entry. The fun part is each entry gets immediate feedback in the form of validation, restatement and analysis. The analysis is frequently surprisingly insightful. The entries are saved in a history section with a little digest of each entry that is clickable to the full original content. It also remembers things from prior entries and reminds you that you wrote about it before. Finally there is a weekly over all analysis of entries. If you have ever used chat therapy, this surpasses the value of that experience by far. And is really better than a lot of video / in person therapy experiences I have had. I think Rosebud is so amazing and worth it.

Best mental health app I’ve ever used

This is probably the only app review I’ve ever done. I’ve been using this for 2 days and I can already see a significant difference in my wellbeing overall. Rosebud is worth its weight in gold. I’ve always had a hard time journaling or staying consistent with it, but Rosebud makes it feel like you’re checking in with a friend or a therapist twice a day. It’s extremely insightful, forces you to dig deeper to the root of your feelings and if you’re not accomplishing something you could be to make yourself better, it’ll bring that to light to help you do more of the things that will improve your mental health and well being. I can’t stress enough how worth it Rosebud is. I will definitely be a continued user after the free trial is up! Thank you for developing such an incredible tool. I fully believe this is something that could replace a therapist in the long term for a lot of people and it’s way less money than paying upwards to $150 a session for someone that you may not connect with, or feel like is being fake or bias.

I’m honestly so impressed and I look forward to journal

I’m genuinely taken aback by how much I enjoy Rosebud. Ive lost track of how many apps I’ve downloaded with the intention to journal and then quit in like a week. But with this app, I really appreciate the reminders ACTUALLY referencing past entries! Like for an example, I had a release last night for work and I mentioned that and this morning, as my journaling reminder, it brought up the release in a way to make it relevant for today and continue the conversation. That’s what I really appreciate and I’m learning that’s what I need to stay engaged with journaling. I don’t have the premium version but I’m honestly considering it because I really like added extras from Rosebud: insights, goals, going deeper with your journals, remembering specific topics and people, the summarization! I just feel super heard and feel seen (cheesy I know) and I’m so glad I stumbled across Rosebud.
