Learn Spanish Reviews

I’m having a really hard time finding anything of worth for free. When I click the “free stories” At the top of my page, I can read two or three sentences and then hit the pay wall. If there is more to the free version, it should be easier to access. As is, I will not be motivated to sort through things to practice.

Vocab and word training confusing to use and no directions concerning use. Same for the stories-- some irritating glitches that continually start the story over when you pause on a phrase. App needs a real combing through to sort out smooth and user friendly usage.

There are many more beginner stories than there are higher level stories. I need to read more advanced writing so that I may advance my own Spanish skills. I don’t think it provides enough for the cost.

I’ve been looking for this exact product. Combines very short and very interesting reading passages in Spanish with audio version and vocabulary review. Gave it only 4 stars because the audio version is read with an accent from Spain. I am studying Latin American Spanish which is most useful in USA. Would like to see two audio options: one with Spanish accent and one read with a Latin American accent.

Interesting stories at appropriate levels. Should speak slower for lower levels.

The stories and format are great for learning but they shove the paid subscription in your face every second on top of the fact that you really don’t have as many options if you don’t pay, which is a shame but I get.

In my opinion if you don’t pay you should at least get one or two new stories a day at the level of your choosing without having to pay.

Features are all encompassing. Truly. So many options for all learning types and reinforcement. I listen to the story/article. Then I click on any words I don’t know. Immediately and easy to grasp the translation with conjugate options and a pronunciation are offered. Then I read the same article and then I voice it myself. I save any words I don’t know to the study cards. So quadruple reinforcement.

My one complaint: MORE, there are only a handful of stories each week.

Using the topic context, levels of experience, and helpful translation/audio options mean you can read the article even with new words or grammar. The quizzes can be tricky but make sure you are reading to understand.

Really enjoying LearnSpanish. It’s perfect for allowing me to level up as I gain more proficiency with my Spanish vocabulary and grammar! Also really enjoying the stories that were published. Insightful and informative.

Allow me to preface that I barely leave reviews, but LearnSpanish is actually very useful. Being able to read short articles with pronunciation and grammar lessons is extremely helpful for semi-beginners such as myself.

I love how LearnSpanish allows me to learn by reading interesting bitesized passages. It is really motivating for me and a great way to learn a language. I like the 4 question quizzes that follow as a way to check my understanding and mastery or need for review. I recommend it wholeheartedly!

The stories are interesting, and the quizzes are good to reinforce comprehension. You can tap a word to get the definition, helping to improve your vocabulary.

I love the format of LearnSpanish. I especially like how you can adjust the speed. I find that combining all modes, from reading, to listening, to both simultaneously, at various speeds is quite conducive to learning for me. I think it’s also helpful to be able to hear the pronunciation of any given word at any time, and the explanations of conjugations is awesome.

About every other time I turn LearnSpanish on it doesn’t work, several times I’ve had to delete LearnSpanish and reload it.

I have used Readle to learn German and Spanish. I have found it the most useful app out of many that I use. The Grammar breakdowns really help me a lot!

I’ve been struggling to find the one in all app for Spanish immersive learning. Some apps only have stories, some only vocab, some only have robotic voices to read the stories… LearnSpanish connects all the features together and has all one might need in consistent language learning. I love how thorough it is on every single detail - including part of speech, conjugation and common expressions for vocabs, using spaced repetition, having a grammar and quiz tab, a human (like) narrator for the stories… interface is pretty too. This is the perfect app I’ve been looking for!
