Never has current results.
RainDrop is not accurate! I have rainfall gauges at 2 of the 3 locations I monitor and both had substantially more rainfall than RainDrop shows.
It seems that unless I pay $2.99 per month, I don’t receive any rain data. Ugh!!
Poor accuracy , been raining all day and still shows 0 rain fall in last 72 hours . I live in city limits …👎🏼
I tried to look to see how much more rain we got today and it says zero. Well that’s not accurate since I was outside IN THE RAIN today. It also says no rain yesterday and claims 1.6 inches so far for April. According to other outlets we had over 3 inches of rain by April 3rd. It was all over the news and my basement has water. Clearly not a very good record. I would never waste my money to upgrade. RainDrop is not even close!
Does not work well at all. Usually just says data not available
Not sure where or how there measure. Not accurate.
After entering my location, I’ve pressed & held in various parts of the screen (including the dot indicating my location and the typed address). When I can get it to display any readings at all it tells me 0.0” of precipitation at all timeframes, which I know to be inaccurate. If there is no measurement available in my area, tell me that - and offer to inform me if it becomes available in the future. It’s frustrating to be given basically nothing.
Not accurate, sometimes I get rain and it shows none!
You would think that an app showing rain amounts would show rain amounts. Definitely not worth the download and paying for multiple spots makes me the idiot.
Not accurate at all. 0 stars. Save your money!
RainDrop is not accurate at all. I feel like it was a waste $30.
All the 5 star reviews on same day was red flag #1. All 5 star reviews and yet app doesn’t function, red flag2. can an app that doesn’t work get 5 stars? Maybe one of those users can explain why no data populates? Or explain why there’s no mention of subscription cost or requirement, etc. The marketing is well written, too bad RainDrop doesn’t deliver anything that it claims.
For the curious, it appears the sub is $2.99/mo or $24.99/yr. Was gonna gamble and try it $2.99, but w all the shortcomings I opted for a coffee instead. Bummer, I wish it worked.
When I downloaded this app a few weeks ago, you were allowed to have three rain gauges in the free version. This morning when I opened RainDrop there was a notification that the free version now only allowed two gauges.
Fine, I get it, you’re trying to get subscribers, but taking away features doesn’t make users want to suddenly shell out $40-50/year. If anything it disincentivizes it. Add features that make the free users want to upgrade. Carrot vs. stick.
I’m not deleting it, but I am certainly not paying to get the data I previously had access to. And now the chances of me upgrading are next to zero.
We love RainDrop for it’s accuracy! In the Storm Water Compliance industry, it’s very vital to know what rain amounts are happening on all of our sites, and RainDrop delivers! It’s off from time to time (not much), but that’s pretty good figuring we have hundreds of sites! We still use our standard rain gauges, but RainDrop is helpful in determining what sites we should focus on and what we can put on the back-burner. It’s been very nice to have an assistant keeping track of it all!
I like RainDrop as a broad idea, but it isn’t completely accurate. We have had 3.9 inches of rain (verified by 2 different styles of rain gauges) in the last 24 hours but RainDrop is only reporting 3.3 inches. My parents had 0.7 inches the other night but RainDrop only registered 0.2 inches. I like that you can pinpoint locations on the map to watch though.
I love RainDrop! Been looking for something like this for a long time and this is perfect for what I want! Always want to know how much rain we had…..
Thank you!
Straightforward app that lets you select from past 24 hrs, 72 hrs, month, or year and at your exact location. Just what I was looking for. Thank you!
We use this to monitor rainfall on our property which is 2 hours away. It saves us driving there only to get our RV stuck in mud!
Exactly what I’ve been wanting. Very simple rain totals for desired locations. Just installed it, will give it a shake out, but the features available are awesome. Thank you!!
Was pleasantly surprised at how well RainDrop worked. Fairly accurate within a tenth of my rain gauge’s around the farm. Definitely worth getting!
RainDrop is very accurate and easy to setup and use. I measured 2 5/8” in my rain gauge and RainDrop was showing 2.5” son about an 1/8” difference and that’s close enough for me. I do recommend RainDrop!!
RainDrop does exactly what it advertises. It just rained yesterday and RainDrop matched my gauge at home exactly. I would highly recommend to anyone
I’m a new user but I have to say “ why didn’t I find this years ago! Keeping track of rain at my farm that’s 4 hrs away. Appears to be spot on
Love it, haven’t had it on my phone but maybe couple weeks, it’s right on with my rain gauge on the deck, when was researching for a good app this one got high reviews, they were right far as I’ve seen so far, and I don’t think I will be surprised. I don’t wish to do the weather station thing, but I wanted a good rain app. I like high tech stuff and premium tech devices. RainDrop pleases me I’m already showing friends etc. and bragging on it.
Thanks,
John
Up to date rain accumulation and seems very accurate. Wundermap app just kept getting worse and worse, although the website is fine. This was quick and easy, no frills, just rainfall totals, perfect.
I love RainDrop - but I was going to make a mention to this. Is there a way you can move the pin in your map? (Potential edit) and rearrange it or relocate it) without deleting it and stuff ?
I’ve shared RainDrop with several farmer friends of mine that have also shared this. If you need a rural SC contact to advertise RainDrop -please let me know - i would love to boast your app ( we are free farmers so we rely on rain) just as much as row crop farmers do.
Thanks !!!
I found this app during the heavy rains and found it very useful to follow the rain amounts at home and in our second home.
I’ve had RainDrop for less than 30 minutes and it explains for itself. It’s exactly what I need for my farm as I have many locations that the rain totals need to be kept up on. Whether you want to know how much it rained in your backyard or how much it rained afar off, this simple and easy-to-use app will let you know.
For 15 years I have lived on a south Mississippi Coastal River with substantial tidal flows and high flood potential from upstream rain. RainDrop contains by far the most accurate and timely information available. Plus the tech support and responses to questions are always quick and accurate. Great product, great support, if just obtaining a single site information all free. Thank you this app.

We are a farm family with farms spread over quite a few miles. If we need to check the rainfall amounts at a farm, we just have to look on this app. This saves us time and money! Thank you!
I have often looked for information on rainfall, but it is difficult to find on weather apps and even on government websites. RainDrop very quickly shows history for 12 hrs, 24 hrs, week, month and YTD and also compares to average. This is exactly what I have been looking for and it is very easy to use!
Yes an app that finally gives me what I want, rain totals by the hour, daily, monthly and the year. It’s so easy to use. I can keep track for my garden and check my loved ones too. Thanks!
I’ve got a Tempest weather station on my house and I have been comparing rain drop with tempest. Its amazing how close they are !!!
Rain drop is awesome !!!!
Any time we get precipitation I go to RainDrop so I can see how much, and it quickly and easily gives me just the information I want!
Love RainDrop. I’ve referred to all my friends. I use IPhone. My friends with Samsung haven’t been able to enjoy.
Keep up the great work
I’ve been using this application for over a year now to keep track of the rainfall at our local mountain bike trails to give me a much better chance of knowing the status of those trails. RainDrop has been very helpful.
The most user friendly, pleasing aesthetic I’ve ever used on a weather app!! Definitely recommend!
Very user friendly. Able to see rain fall amounts in all my fields and in other areas across the corn belt.
Totally a underrated app so helpful now I know how much rain my city will get
Sincerely, Uriah
Much appreciated. I’m just a home gardener but this saves me a lot of guesswork- no more split tomatoes hopefully!
Great to see rain gauge's in other cities.
After years of replacing broken rain gauges, I can finally say those days are over. Saves time & money!
I’m always looking for a way to get local precipitation amounts, and Raindrops is RainDrop I turn to first. Once I identify my location, I can get total rainfall over the last 24 hours with one button push—opening RainDrop . With a few other taps, I can see total precip over 72 hours, MTD, or YTD, and it is quite accurate when compared to other weather stations near me. The elegance is in its simplicity.
RainDrop is simple..and accurate .. gives me rainfall in my exact location. Other sites will give you data from a local ( or almost local) airport that often is not accurate for your location..
I really appreciate being able to look at rainfall amounts at any time day or night. We have field in a 20 mile radius and it just isn't feasible to drive around to see this. Very handy easy to read
Finally a reasonable, reliable on-line rain gauge. With multiple fields located 20 miles apart over 60 sq miles, it’s essential to our harvest schedule. Thank you for the program others want an exorbitant monthly fee to utilize.
I use it all the time. Love RainDrop . Looking forward to v2 updates ! I don’t have the message rectangle on my app. Why is that?
App is really helpful in determining specific rainfalls—and in our area it is amazing the rain differences just miles apart. We personally use it in lieu of a rain gauge. It’s also been known to settle some family disputes about who got how much rain.
I’ve been checking this app vs my rain gauge and to my astonishment, it’s been accurate. I had been using apps that were more of a wild guess so now I suggest the this app app to all my contemporaries.
This is a simple app, but no other app provides this information. It’s clear, easy to read, and reliable. I love it. Recommend highly.
RainDrop is amazing and extremely accurate. I never have to mess with rain gauges or replace worn or broken gauges. I’ve recommended RainDrop to all my family and friends. Thank you.
Very good idea - allows me to have a reliable source of rainfall amounts. Much better tool compared to the generic weather app on my phone.
Useful for tracking how much water has real fallen in the areas of interest. Use it to help conserve water. This intern has decreased my water bill. No more guessing and lawn still looks good.
Excellent! Besides giving the last 24 hour rain amount in your specific area, it is easy to see what the amount means on a month or yearly average. Love it!
I really like RainDrop. I’ve checked it against my rain gauge and can find no major difference. Plus I don’t have to go outside and get wet to see the total rainfall.
Reliable app but most importantly great customer service. He’s always listening for how to make it better.
I loaded this app to track rainfall during an expected heavy rainfall period. I was able to see in near realtime the accumulation. I only wish I could see the data source so I’d have a better understanding of accuracy.
