I really love this game!!! just doing it to pass the time is great, but after the recent update unfortunately my family was gone :(

getting to my proper review, the gameplay issues I have is that there’s not enough interactions. it’s always same 4 and I wish it was more dependent on the personality of the person and there was just more interactions overall for more randomness. for example an “intelligent” person would have a special interaction pertaining to them, while an “idiot” person would have a different one.

I also really dislike how the only good interaction that wont hurt you is ALWAYS hidden behind an ad, especially when your family member is contemplating s*icide. I’m not against ads in games especially because they keep them going, but maybe space them out a bit instead of them being there every time? it’s just really annoying especially when there’s no ad blocker option to pay for either :/

overall my current complaints about the game aren’t gonna make me stop playing it on purpose, but I will eventually get sick of how redundant it is and I’ll find a new game to play when the time comes, even if I DO love this game and don’t wanna leave it.

So I wasn’t planning on writing a review but here I am, so I love this game for a long car rides or if you’re just really bored at home. But it does need a lot of improvement like so when I am playing the game sometimes a thing would come up and be like job improvement 599 and I feel like nobody would pay 599 for a mobile game that just let you go through life and that’s just my opinion but maybe they can switch it to $.99 or 199 I know that’s how games like make money, but I feel like they can find a better way. But of course, I do really love this game and I do recommend it. That’s all I hope you guys take my Feedback and find ways to lower the prices

so to start off, i actually really love this game. im finding myself getting super attached to the completely random characters and their families. a couple of the spouses died and it legit made me sad to see their s/o living for 60 years without them and without remarrying. the UI is super easy to understand, businesses are fun and a good way to make money, houses arent too expensive so its hard to cap out thankfully.

i would like to see same sex couples and the ability to either subscribe or purchase an ad-free version where you can still use the options as normal, but without having to watch an ad for it. thats really my only criticism!

Game is fun. Cool idea. Popups get redundant and they come so fast but now that I’ve found the pause button, I can manage that. However, I would LOVE being able to interact with family members individually instead of just looking at their stats. And why is it that when a family member gets married or has a baby, or even graduates their happiness doesn’t increase?And since those hearts are the only way to get help with increasing family happiness and/or other attributes why is the only way to get them is to have a babies, especially when many either won’t have kids at all or having too many can cause family bankruptcy? The math isn’t mathing.

Hopefully y’all are actually listening to your audience and take consideration for future updates. that being said, i really enjoy the game, it just needs more. the pop ups are the same thing all the time and it gets boring fast, so maybe add more pop up and not that often either, it sometimes becomes too much having a pop up every second. also maybe have them have more kids more often? i sometimes have lines where they’ll have five kids, but out of the five kids, only one has children when they’re older. idk i feel like the game has a lot of potential, just hope y’all actually invest in something like this.

I actually really like the game, and it’s a interesting gameplay mechanic, unlike bit life where you just go through years. I do enjoy Bitlife, but, this game is unique to the life simulator genre. It’s not perfect, of course, but I would recommend playing this game. My only complaint is the bankruptcy thing, but it’s not really that big of a deal, unless you don’t have enough money. The game also is free, which added to the pros, also being ad-free. I DO wish there were more intriguing decisions, but I will let it pass since the game is new. Please keep working on the game, and it can be a big hit.

Game is cute so far challenging enough. My biggest problem is it won’t let me just have enough time in between pop-ups to look at my family tree. I can’t go and look at my founder and then go down my family tree because every time I try I get a new pop-up that takes me right back to whoever the pop-up was for and then when I try to get back to the top so I can look at my family tree. Another pop-up comes up. I would like the option to look at my full family tree. And honestly if it continues that I can’t, I will be deleting FamilyLife .

I really love this game a lot, i just really wish it was a little more realistic with the marriage and the babies. I would really like it if they didn’t have to be married to have a baby and I’m not saying they have to be like teenagers and stuff but not every person is married when they have kids. And i know that being married and having kids is a belief with religions and stuff but not everybody believes in all that and I just honestly really wish you could change that, and have it be where they aren’t married and its okay.

This game used to be fun when I got it. But then it started to get weird… one time I made a new family. I left the game because it was my bedtime. Anyway so I turned off my Mobile and went to sleep. The next day I decided to check on my family. And so I clicked on “Continue” but it wouldn’t work! It just took me to the background with no buttons on it! I’ve tried and tried for almost a week but I couldn’t get it to load! And so I had no other choice but to REINSTALL my game! Please fix this glitch so I won’t have to do this again

The gameplay is fun and very entertaining. I enjoy playing, but the ads are tedious. I wish there was a way to purchase ad-free play because there are an absurd amount of them.

I also wish you could consistently get employees for your businesses. I dislike that there are times you go for years without being able to hire anyone and then your businesses are losing money.

It is a fun game, otherwise.

I’ve been playing this game since it first came into FamilyLife Store. I think it is a good game but I’d like to see a few things in the future; being able to control people, picking the people you marry or have options (like the names of children), being able to name children, also why are my people getting married but not wanting to have children when they have enough room in houses and are happy?

I enjoy playing this game, but it’s all too easy to go into bankruptcy. It would be better if you could control jobs by clicking on the person, or make it easier to make them get a job. I’ve gone pretty far, but lost due to the fact that this 40 year old grandchild won’t get a job and is racking up $400 dollars in debt every second. This just happens all the time and it makes it extremely difficult to go far in the family.

The idea is create a family tree of wealth but you can’t do that if your offspring don’t work. The pop up questions get old fast and it’s hard to actually progress because at 4K debt your game ends.

I would add the option of a restart button before letting it just progress naturally.

Also would be nice to add something else to do instead of staring at your decreasing balance. Add some options to interact with characters or make your character be able to go something. Also the frequency of the vet pop up is rather insane.

I love this game but I hate how my family members don’t get job offers. Even if I send them to the best schools they still won’t get jobs. And I’ll have them study all sorts of different majors just to see if maybe that’s the problem but they still don’t get job offers. It’s driving me crazy and makes me not wanna play as much because it feels like my decisions are pointless. No matter what I do my family is loosing money because of this.

Love how you listen to the people for your game. And try your beast to change something’s and wish you can watch an ad to customize your characters. And please turn white button to a black button so people could see.

Honestly, this game is really fun, and there is a really great concept behind it. I think it could go really far with more improvements to the gameplay, as well as additional gameplay to relationships, family, having jobs, etc. I honestly really love playing this game, and I can’t wait for future updates and improvements.

New update fixed the crashing issue but also added some new ones. One character married the same person three times, only to be left by them when U chose a different option…wash, rinse, repeat for a few other partners. I keep getting asked if the same character wants to attend university, despite declining. Closed FamilyLife , and progress didn’t save!

It have the same lines. You can get married but its a lot of money. When someone dies and don't have kids they can't get another lover. If you lose 10k you go bankrupt which shouldnt be in the game cause it's hard to even get paid when the baby becomes adult and you can't even get them a job. So this is why it have 4 stars

Games is fun and entertaining - would love a pair ad free version. Probability of couples having kids decreases after each generation which makes is really hard to get more hearts and be able to do anything in the game. There needs to be more opportunities for characters to naturally get offered jobs and remarriage should be allowed. Needs some more situational prompts they get really old.

1. Life insurance should exist, you should choose a life insurance policy when characters get to a certain age, and when they die, you should be able to cash in., 2. When you buy a business, you should only get family members with the job that is useful to that business. (Will add more when they come to me)

I download it this because I also enjoyed bit life. I don’t know if I’m playing it wrong but all I’m doing is just sitting and waiting for an option to pop up. I don’t get to make my own choices by doing things for example, in bit life, you can have the option to click on your partner and try for a baby or click on go to school and pick out the jobs you want but this is so boring if you want to copy a game like BitLife at least let the player choose what they want to do I’m trying to make as much sense as I can. Sorry if I’m confusing anybody

Ok at first I thought that I was just going to download then delete FamilyLife , but no I been playing this for hours it’s addicting. And honestly for me there’s like no adds only when you watch a add for money or something anyway I honestly love this 10/10, only problem tho is all the ads are
inappropriate.

No way you guys thought it was alright to monetize everything even trying to save your own character you have to watch an ad, to even live for a long time with your family or make decent money you have to watch ads. there’s no freedom to do anything you just wait for scenarios and most of the time i can’t even navigate because the scenarios aren’t even controlled and it gets annoying

The game is good but for being rated 9+, it’s pretty inappropriate. There are many mentions of s*icide and self h*rm, and if you want to get them a therapist, you have to watch an ad. There are also some mentions of abuse. I know this stuff happens and it’s great to be touched on, but maybe not in a game that’s rated 9+. (Also I would like to mention that if you want to have and lgbtq relationship, you have to watch an ad for that, which is kinda annoying.)

This is a decent game. It’s simple, how BitLife used to be (before it got bloated with too many features), but the cost is actually outrageous. I have full video games that cost less than it costs to get rid of ads in this game. It costs $30 to get rid of ads and that’s crazy. I thought it was a lot when I saw a game asking for 15 to get rid of ads, but then this game asks twice as much.
I get it MIGHT be to cover costs of the game, but it’s just simply too much. And I’m someone who will pay for a game if I really enjoy it and it’s reasonable. $30 for a mobile game isn’t reasonable. I guess it could be worse. They could want $30 a month, like another mobile game I was playing and ended up quitting. The ads were overwhelming (to get you to pay to remove ads, of course), but there was no way I’m forking out that much. Not even just once. Maybe lower the cost and I’d think about it. It’s just crazy because I see two other things that can be purchased and they’re reasonable (one thing is $6 and the other is $10), so I’m confused why getting rid of ads is so expensive. And, of course, there’s a million ads to really do anything in the game. If a game is forcing me to make a purchase by bombarding me with ads, that’s telling me they’re a greedy game and I don’t support those.
Too bad, because this is actually a charming little game. Oh well.

So I love this game. It’s amazing. It’s really fun the baby count stops at quadruplets and you can get Quintuplets by unlocking it with Golden hearts I was thinking you should make like septuplets and non-tablets and dectablets septuplets is seven non-tablets is nine in dectablets is 10 please make those would be really fun and add more features and more characters. More girl characters if you don’t have that many. Thanks

I was having a lot of fun until at one point noticed that in order to have a family member marry someone of the same sex, you had to watch an advertisement for about 30-60 seconds. This really upset me as a queer person but was willing to tolerate it for this game.

The next (real life) day, I was playing again when I got prompted that one of my family members was depressed. The options it gave me were self harm, two different s*icide methods, or watch an ad to see a counselor. I immediately deleted the game.

Having features locked behind ads is understandable from a profit standpoint, but forcing users to watch ads in order to play out queer relationships or not literally k*ll yourself is absolutely unacceptable. Shame on the developers

Family Life! Is an amazing game, I like it very much and its quite entertaining. The only thing that I think you could possibly add is to make choices on your on, like by clicking on a character and click ‘Have Kids’ or click ‘Change Job’ Instead of it coming to you randomly by luck.
In a way thats sort of like Bitlife. Anyways, I really hope you can read this and consider adding it. Thank you very much for making this amazing game! Have a great week.

First I want to say that the game itself and the idea behind the game is good. However, amount of ads are ridiculous, I’ve spent more time watching ads than actually playing the game. I understand that developers have to make their money, but it makes the game not enjoyable when you have to see a 30 second pop up ad (that you can’t skip) every 3 minutes. I didn’t even mention that if you want to pay for no ads it cost $30… that’s outrageous for a mobile game. It’s crazy because you feel like you’re being taken advantage of. Honestly I’m the type of person that is willing to spend $5-$10 on an ad free game, but $30 will fill up my gas tank. That being said, if they were to change the pricing or lower the ad frequency I’d give them a higher rating, but I don’t enjoy companies taking advantage of their consumers.

It’s good but now there are more ads than usual stopping me a lot from making a big family tree, and I can barely do anything with all the pop ups, I can’t look at who was the first person on my line or who was their kid who has kids, and the pictures from the preview page should look like it’s from the game, like the cafe and the businesses they do not look like that, but other than my 50 issues it’s a good game

I actually like the game it’s seems like it would be fun to play for longer. HOWEVER I can’t go 30second without being interrupted by an ad popping up. It’s very frustrating tbh. I get it that they gotta make money but what’s the. Point of even having a game when all I’m dealing with is ads. Then 30$ to go ad free is absolute insanity I have better games that I wouldn’t pay 30$ for so certainly won’t pay for this one. Seems like a money grab because they know how annoying it is the have ads interrupting you so they hope you’ll be desperate enough to pay it. For just a life choice game it’s really not worth the hassle, Id recommend BitLife or something

I really like this game but why do you have to pay to get more stuff??!! Also why do the little kids have to hit themselves with the mirror?? Why do the people want to kill themselves? i just wanted to report about the many inappropriate ads on this game, which is supposedly for 9 year olds (i’m not nine btw 13+). the ads i’ve been getting are for an app called “mechat” which the game is a ai dating like chai and c.ai. the ads consist of half naked women and men, spin the bottle games where they have to remove a piece of clothing, getting text blurred “nudes” you can clearly see, going to a bdsm party with ur girlfriend, and getting revenge on your boyfriend (all within an hour). please fix this and make it appropriate for your apps age, or change the age to 13+.

Ok I love the game but some things in the game are really bad and are heartbreaking for me there is a choice when one of the family members sadness gets low you get a choice whether too “cut wrist” “jump into sea” or other ways to suicide it should not be a choice in the game or in any game for that matter it’s not something that should be in a game you either do one of those choices or watch and ad too save them with a psychologist it’s wrong to do that and for that devs I am really disappointed in you for that my friend commited suicide and it brings back memories so thanks for that.

As the title suggests, I gave up on this game after an hour or two of playtime because the ads just got to me. I thought that you could get away with it by not clicking yes to any of the options to save a rich man or even starring in a movie or something. HOWEVER, the ads still make their way to you regardless. When you’re idle, or even when you’re about to make an important decision such as marriage or job, an ad will suddenly appear. And twice have these ads been un-exitable. What I mean is that the ad glitches and I can press the x, which causes me to restart the game and the important decision went away — I lost my chance. If you’ve played this game, you would know marriage prospects or even jobs are valuable since some people stay unemployed/unmarried for a long time. Anyway, it was fun only if there weren’t ads 24/7

I really like this game. I have been addicted to it since I got it however the ads are way too much and they charge $30 to remove them which is insane for a mobile app and I am someone that is willing to pay for a game that I really like but to remove the ad should be $5 or less no shade. Also, there are ads every minute or so if you guys are trying to turn people off from playing the game then you have the right idea because I’m not paying $30 to remove the ads and I’m not gonna continue to play if there’s ads every minute. Please fix or this will be a app that gets dumped quickly after downloading by most.

It’s a fun game, mindless game for the most part. Good if you are multitasking and need something easy in the background. However, there are a few things I have an issue with. First, the ads. Wow, I’m okay with a few ads here and there but the amount of ads in this game are actually insane. Second, not a huge fan of the overwhelming amount of times my family members want to kill themselves. I’m not sure why this is even a part of the game. The only way to not kill yourself in the game is to watch an ad. Super off putting and pretty insensitive to people who are struggling with suicidal thoughts and just want to play a relaxing game. Third, please, dear god, learn how to spell high school right.

It’s pretty addictive, I’ll admit. I find myself getting invested in everything. However every minute I find a new ad on my screen, and it pulls me away from the game. And $30 for it to be ad free? Let’s be real here, you’re not a double A studio, nor triple A. I could by an actual good game without ads with this money. I know that sounds rude, but it’s the truth. Expecting people to pay 30 bucks for an ad free version of a phone game is ridiculous, especially with how many ads are spammed every minute.

This game is absolutely amazing to play though there is a couple major details that bother me when I play. I do really wish when selecting someone to stay at a house or work place that there is some kind of icon that tells you that they don’t have a home or they can have a selection where only people who are homeless show up, because every time I try to get homeless people to have a home; I always end up selecting someone that has a home and they basically switch houses. It’s really annoying and I hope the developers can fix/update that. Also I would enjoy if there were new options that could be put in. I just got this game so I don’t know how recently they put new options in. But new decisions etc. for the characters and names for them would be nice. But thank you developers for the hard work you’ve put into the game so far, it’s a really amazing game.

Honestly, the game is tons of fun. You are allowed to try many different things and the game progresses very fast. The developers have many different aspects that allow to you to try many things. I went down the path of a family restaurant, when someone could t find a job they were put in the restaurant. The game also slightly catered a couple people to me to help support the restaurant. If family members couldn’t work there you are able to hire people, which is great.
The more you play you start to unlock other career paths, like lawyers, presidency and I’m sure many more.
The things I kept noticing is lawyers would go down a career path; law cleric, assistant lawyer, to lawyer. But, by the time your person became a lawyer they would be in their 50’s. Retirement age is 60 in the game.
The issue with this game lies in the ads. When you first start playing you don’t have ads for like the first ten minutes but after that they keep coming ever few minutes, to hire people there’s an ad you have to watch. The developers do allow in store purchase of $30. To stop the ads. They also have other bundles you can purchase to unlock “cool” professions like, hitman. They also have a royal bundle that lets you run a kingdom.
All around the game is fun, but feeling like I’m watching ads in the middle of each decision for every family member makes gets frustrating.

I’m giving this game one star because of how ridiculous the costs are for this game and because they falsely advertise the costs of the packs. $30 to remove all ads is the highest cost I’ve ever seen for a mobile app. And this isn’t even the best life simulation game available! Also when I went to buy the reward pack that doubles your income it was marked as costing $5.99 before taxes. If you buy the life pass too you still get pop ups to remove ads even though you removed ads through the life pass. I bought it then I get a notification that I was charged $20. There’s little to no directions when you start the game and all of the good rewards from event pop ups you need to watch an ad to get almost anything worthwhile. And not all the characters get jobs throughout their lifetime so they just bring down the whole families income. There should be a way to manually apply for jobs and not just have people waiting for a job to randomly pop up. This game is fun don’t get me wrong and I’m still going to play it (mostly because of the money I’ve unfortunately sunken into it) but there NEEDS to be changes made to the game if they’re going to be charging this much with all of the packs.

The game itself is very engaging and fun to play. It in itself is an interesting twist on life sim games- the way I can’t directly force a character to do much of anything and the way events just happen is super neat. the fact that I can see every member of the family is super cool and unique too- I love the game. But dang, the no ads costing $30 USD and then every other expansion costing $9.99 or $15 for that character thing is prohibitively expensive. I pay for no ads often, so it’s not about paying money at all that’s getting me. But that’s a LOT of money to pay.

To summarize : the free version is great, i am not touching the paid version with a three foot pole.

When I first started this game I thought it was really cute and simple. But I can barely get through one choice before another ad gets thrown at me. It feels like there’s an ad every 10 seconds, and I wouldn’t be surprised if that were true. And wanna know how much it is to remove ads? $1.99 like most games? Nope. It costs $30! That is an ABSURD amount to just get rid of ads. As soon as I saw how much it costs, I didn’t give it a split second more of thought.

Maybe if the price for no ads is lowered by a whole lot, to a normal and reasonable amount, and there weren’t ads every 5 seconds, then I would continue playing.

The game is good but it’s so slow and ad crazy. I get an ad like every 10 seconds and when I don’t I need to use ads to get pretty much everything. I would much prefer the game to be a lot harder with less ads then it being super easy with so many ads.
The game also overall doesn’t have much going on either. There’s nothing interesting going on in the story and it’s very repetitive. The interactions are the same within other characters and there’s barely any storyline or choosable story.
Another thing is that all you can really do is wait. It’s entirely about waiting. There’s nothing you can do to pass time, not even leave the game!

Overall, please put in less ads and make it more interesting.

First, I want to say, this game is absolutely adorable, and I love that you can see your family tree and descendants. Unlike Bitlife, where you’re stuck going down only one line and not being able to see the others. However, I am giving this game 3 stars, purely because of the price you guys want me to pay to eliminate ads. I mean I think a reasonable price is like $5 or $10 even, but $30?! That is outrageous. Do you realize how much food I could buy with that kind of money? That would give me, if I’m careful, at least a weeks worth. I could see if you added some other stuff to it. Like maybe putting the house bundle and ad free gaming together. Or even just work packs and the ad free gaming. But just paying that for no ads, makes me not want to play this game anymore. And I don’t want it to come to that, because I love the style and quick pace of it all. But I think, if you continue to have the ad free gaming as expensive as it is, people will stop playing all together, and never play your game again.

The game is pretty fun, I can understand why people get annoyed with the ads but as someone who bought the life pass it hasn’t been a problem for me. One of the most annoying parts for me is when you get farther down the line or more people, they won’t get married. It would be nice if you could watch ads or use the life points to be able to set people up like how you can raise some of their stats. I don’t know what would be a good number to help all over 18 but it would be nice to at least have that option no matter how expensive or how many ads.

I’m use to playing games with ads, it usually doesn’t bother me. This game though, felt like I spent most of the time watching an ad rather than playing the game. The game has potential but to make a selection you actually want you have to watch an ad. Then after that ad there is a chance of another random ad popping up. I figured no big deal I can just pay for as free. 30 dollars, 30 freaking dollars for a game that doesn’t offer much to warrant that kind of spending. Seriously day light robbery. I played because it seemed interesting and lost me when I spent an hour watching ads and less than 20 minutes of play time. I’m going to go back to playing BitLife ad free because it only cost me 5 dollars.

i love this game, it is very easy to spend hours playing. i understand the developers need to make a living, but the number of ads in this game is outrageous. i purchased the life pass, which i was completely okay doing, but i believe that should also remove the ad barrier for all the choices in this game. it is a bit absurd that even after paying for this game, i have to watch an ad to prevent my player from killing themselves.. or watch 2 to be able to hire a worker after one of my elder characters died. i see this is a common criticism, so i hope this aspect of the game gets changed. one 15 dollar life pass makes sense, but an additional 30 dollar ad removal purchase does not, nor does the other additional “fun jobs” pack. this isn’t the sims 4.. this is a mobile game, and these paywalls only make me want to uninstall FamilyLife .

despite the cute nature of FamilyLife as well, it does feel a bit barren, i feel like i get bored eventually as there is only so much you can do, which is an issue with any life simulator game, but i think some added content that isn’t locked behind a paywall would be nice as well.

At first this game was really fun but it gets repetitive after a while. In particular, outcomes for certain decisions become predictable because it’s always the same result. Also, probably my least favorite thing, there’s no end to reach or way to win, it’s just constantly playing until you lose.

Other issues:
* Maintenance costs for non-working family members, especially children, go up as the game goes along, but the salaries of employed people don’t, making it much harder to keep a positive income.
* The game constantly tries to give you multiple births when you choose to have a child. You’ll be getting your finances back in the green, decide it’s a good time to add a kid or two, and instead BAM, QUADRUPLETS. It seems like they think this is a benefit but it really isn’t when you take the actual game mechanic into account (particularly in conjunction with the previous point).
* This may just be a personal pet peeve but I really hate when characters get called “Stupid [Name]”. Every other adjective is neutral or positive but for some reason the game really wants to let you know that low lQ person has low IQ and that’s the single most important thing about them.
