When entering a zip code in Boston, the amount of reports are severely lacking. There are more sources that could be used to enhance coverage. One good account that I follow is @BostonAreaAlert (Boston Area Public Safety Alerts) on X.
App doesn’t refresh

I have been trying to refresh the app since 1/24/24. It’s still showing what occurred from 1/22-1/24. It is now 1/29.
Great app, needs a few fixes

This app is a great way to see crime in my area, but some things need fixing. For starters, the search bar doesn’t explicitly tell you to type in a zip code, so it took me a bit to figure that out. Another fix would be that when you click the news source, sometimes it tends to send you to the news website’s homepage instead of the actual article. It’d also be helpful if the “View on Map” feature was more visible. The rest of my critiques are nit-picky, like how the city name and state should show up next to the zip-code or how the coloring on the site is a bit flat without gradients. Other than those minor issues, this website work great and I highly recommend.
