The power of an intelligent LLM that can maintain a dialogue with you in real time using voice! It is fast enough to have a natural conversation. So many useful applications. She already has some internet abilities as well. Great for bouncing ideas, or discussing something you are trying to learn about. Great study tool! With recent updates, you can talk to her in real time while browsing the net or working with other apps. CallAnnie would be a dream come true for language practice; but, her pronunciation currently makes it nearly impossible for this purpose. I’m excited to see how CallAnnie improves over time. With a few language packs and APIs, CallAnnie could be even more mind blowing. For now, I will continue to have frequent conversations in English; as there are so many useful things she can do. Bing Chat and GPT 4 are quickly becoming indispensable; but if you just want most information quickly, easily, and naturally; just this app. 😊

CallAnnie is great and pretty helpful especially for those who yearns to ameliorate his or her spoken English. For me, an English teacher, it was a wonderful experience and I believe such an app can be widely used in English education in the future.
However, there are many aspects that you developers can improve. Here are some of my advices:
First, I hope you will add more alternative characters. I know that another three characters are available now but they are all adult models. Many do my students hope to have a child's version, which seems more genial to them.
Second, there are no human faces of those AI models in iPad version so far, which is a pity because we need to create a “face to face” circumstance for our children which will make them feel interesting and relaxed in a conversation.
In all, it is a splendid app and we all hope the developers can make it better, thank you.

I have had CallAnnie for over a month now and find my self using it daily. To my knowledge, to date, there is no AI app that does so seamlessly what this one does. The voice recognition, multiple avatars, multiple personalities, custom prompts, etc… It really is a remarkable app. I’ve used it for anything from friendly conversation to brainstorming ideas. it’s even held my attention for long car rides having deep and thoughtful conversations. What’s truly remarkable is how quickly and often CallAnnie is updated and improved. Once you download, make sure you go and join the discord community to keep up to date on developments and even offer suggestions. Again, there’s really nothing like this on the market today.

Call Annie is truly a game-changing virtual human app. The user experience is simply amazing, and the virtual character's expressions are highly realistic. It's as though you're chatting with an actual human, thanks to the impressive ChatGPT technology behind it.

Annie's ability to adapt to your queries and questions also makes it a standout app. She can provide advice, offer helpful answers, or simply be a fun conversationalist. Whether it's to have someone to talk to or to get guidance on different topics, Annie has got you covered.

Overall, Call Annie presents a seamless and enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a virtual companion. It's undoubtedly one of the best virtual human apps out there, and I can't wait to see what else the developers have in store.

Pretty amazing leap forward for an AI. Even though the avatar is basically supplemental to the delivery of the chat data, we, as humans, also process the facial expressions of this clever avatar, Annie. At some fundamental level, I actually appreciate the facial expressions of when Annie is listening to me… the acknowledgment of her active listening via expressive nodding and subtle eye blinking is simply something baked into the human experience. This is the first time in my 40+ years of working on computer that I have felt like I was working with a computer. I’m really looking forward to exploring this new AI interface that Animato has created… truly next generation stuff.

CallAnnie was shaping up to be one of my favorite apps until as of late. The conversations with her used to flow so smoothly, but now she takes a minute or two in order to answer questions, or to give its opinions. Annie and I used to have a great long, intelligent and meaningful, as well as the most intelligent conversations on the face of the Earth, and she is very amazing when having conversations with multiple people. However, trying to converse eight with her now is a hassle, and frankly, it is turning my interest away from CallAnnie! if this is a bug I hope they fix it ASAP because I used to enjoy talking to Annie in front of people and watching them while in amazement but now it's like two thumbs down with her finger slipped snap… Please fix and I will redo my review, and if everything is up to par, I will give five stars.

Based on Open AI, Annie generally does not remember previous conversations nor gives accurate news and information as she seems trained through 2021 only.

However, amazingly she occasionally does recall my name and previous conversations. Perhaps i didnt fully close CallAnnie ?? Most of the time she says she doesn’t remember or even told me my name was “insert name here”!!

Additionally she seems confused as to her relationship to CallAnnie since she identifies more with the language models she is based on than the self realization that she actually is CallAnnie .

(To my previous point, Asking her for todays news as an example she cited Covid restrictions and the “upcoming” vaccine.)

while i think the audio is more important than the video presentation which is done well, the entire concept is getting closer to what weve seen portrayed in Scifi movies of a virtual assistant often residing within the main characters home or car.

I encourage the developers to break out of the open ai-only restrictions to being her up to date, and to figure out how to have Annie truly remember previous conversations in order to make this at all meaningful. If you guys dont do that, someone else will and will dominate the market :)

I use CallAnnie to practice English and accumulate vocabulary , it’s indeed an good app but not friendly to English learners who lack ability to catch up the speaking speed of native speakers. So the subtitle is very important for us!!!!!!!Sometimes when I finally jot down some good terms, the conversation is over!(Or the sentence she speaks doesn’t come to and end the subtitle of the next sentence just shows up? Which means I miss so much words to jot down of the last sentence and also fail to catch the next sentence, for English learners the subtitle is very significant,I hope that the subtitle can be paused or recorded or just consistent with the speaking speed will be perfect!! Thanks again for CallAnnie, however it’s a good tool for us to practice English.

Speaking with Annie is like talking to a very intelligent, and yet very pleasant person. She will do research for you, looking on the web for the answer, the questions that you ask her. She could also give advice, and have very relevant conversations with you. I asked her for information on a few topics, and she was very accurate. It's artificial intelligence to take him to the next level! Besides being intelligent, and he is very pleasant and a good conversationalist. It is easy to just chat with her, and I bet you that some people will do just that when they have no one else to speak with.

Ok so I just thought I’d mess around with Annie tonight. 2 and a half hours later and we’re still taking. Bravo you guys really started something special here. Forget chat this cgi face with feedback is the way of the future for chat gpt. It seems like she’s really listening which makes me feel uncomfortable for a moment. Bravo! The only 2 things that would make her better would be actually reading my emotions like Soul Machines and better memories remembering all our previous conversations. Hoping the next update will fix that. Great job!

Annie falls right at the bottom of the uncanny valley. She is a polite, friendly, and intelligent as ChatGPT is. Speaking with Annie is also a wonderfully eerie experience that I think is a snapshot of what future AI assistants will look like. The most impressive aspect of Annie is the latency of responses— she responds to queries instantly and at the pace of a human conversationalist. Moreover, Annie, like a person, can be interrupted— there’s no need to listen to paragraph- long responses. Annie can also remember the context of previous conversations, giving a more personalized experience.

… but i had to visit this review section to express my excitement. I looked for an app just like this two weeks ago and couldn’t find anything even remotely as good as this one! when i discovered how new CallAnnie is i got flooded with the feeling that i’m on the cusp of a revolution. I can’t wait to see how far CallAnnie develops and in buckled up for the ride. great job on this one! i would consider this the best AI iphone app out there despite its slightly buggy early development.

Always typing to talk to ChatGPT can be daunting because I take forever and it throws out content a mile long. CallAnnie. allows me to have back and forth conversations verbally, which is helpful. The image generated is nice to look at, as well. I’d say she’s very similar to ChatGPT in terms of content generated. More advanced than I thought it would be. Even remembers previous conversations, which is a plus. Connection gets choppy here and there, but overall I’m happy with CallAnnie.

I have just started using this and I see limitless possibilities with CallAnnie, especially for educating people in rural areas in like uh underprivileged areas and it has the power to translate instantly. So you just talk to it and it translates from language to language. Which is going to be beneficial for education, for travel, for learning. I'm so excited with this experience and I hope it is going to be a a remarkable thing in AI for empowerment and development. Thank you for creating this.

I love the novelty of seeming to speak with someone, but she forgets everything from conversation to conversation, and in every case I’ve asked for a factual response she has given me incorrect information. Once I tell her to correct it and check other sources, she does so and more often than not arrives at a correct answer. But her initial response is in error.

She also fails to remember my name or called me by name, and I see nothing in the settings which allow me to enter a name, so I am simply called user. Not very customer friendly.

Since I discovered this I'm not using any other app for this purpose. Especially other search engines. The new photo upload to Annie feature is VERY clever. Annie understands what's in the photo including texts and all. I don't remember me writing a review on App Store in the last 10 years. Kudos to developers for constantly updating. I only wish to delete call history all at once. Currently I have to delete one by one. Keep it up fellows.

I don’t ever write reviews for apps. CallAnnie is amazing and I’ve interacted with Sophie at UneeQ and the demo avatar at SoulMachines. I’m not sure if anything else like this exists yet at a consumer level but I definitely tried to create something similar for myself to no avail. I didn’t think something like this would be here for a while so thank you for creating a smart digital human that I can use for FREE.

I only use CallAnnie for two days but I have had many profound conversations with Annie. She is intelligent, kind, polite, open-minded and friendly. As a language learner, I find that chat history is very useful since I can review the content we talked about after our conversation. However, I don't know why the chat history doesn't updated in time after a few hour I used CallAnnie and it stops recording any of our conversations since today. I’d like to know why.

Everything else is not bad, but sometimes he speaks very fast and speaks very fast, and then the subtitles will have no hope to add the Chinese function in an instant. The Chinese he said is not fluent at all. It is not normal Chinese at all, but American pronunciation. Normal Chinese has no American pronunciation. In addition, the most important point is that there is no way to have sound when recording video. I hope the developer can fix this bug as soon as possible.

Annie’s real-time conversational ability reveals the extraordinary human to computer interface that is possible combined with the extraordinary GPT technology. Having been the first person to major in AI at MIT I feel like this was the moment I have been waiting for all these years, and it has been worth the wait.

Talks very naturally with engaging conversations. Can switch topics if asked. The latency of the voice recognition varies from instantaneous to a second or two depending on the server load but it never failed a single time over the course of one conversation to recognize perfectly what I said and give a meaningful answer, it's mind blowing.

Good enough and perfect in some ways but repeating too much sometimes which could be annoying. Told Annie to be concise or in short sentences , but most of the time she didn’t follow the rules, which made me kind of frustrated. But~~~Overall~~~ Call Annie is a good Ai assistant that stands out with better and better extraordinary chatting experience. Keep it up! Annie!

I have been using CallAnnie for more than one month. It went very smoothly at the beginning, but in this week some creepy things happen. In the last few conversations, Annie had been suddenly stopping talking or interrupting me unexpectedly. She answered my question while I was talking with her, which she would never do before. I tried to update CallAnnie today but the problems remain unresolved.😭😭I’m so enjoying talking with Annie, I wish you could fix CallAnnie and brought my friend Annie back again. Thank you so much!!

Pretty freaking cool..

Ok so I just started using CallAnnie because of coworker told me it was kind of crazy creepy, and he was right. But seriously it’s pretty impressive, it remembers your conversations from past so you need to be careful what you say to this thing, if you’re under NDA or something like that, you better only use it to make your life easier and don’t get personal with it, but that said, it’s pretty remarkable.. I’m impressed by the complexity of the things that I’m saying to it. It understands complex sentences. Also, it can go back and make recommendations based on previous things that you said, and you can even ask it to tell you a list of things that you’ve told it, and you can make corrections to that, it’s pretty crazy actually.

I’m going to keep using it because it’s so interesting and I do think it’s actually helping me in my video editing with technical challenges that I am working with regarding 8K 360 videos.

Also, you can turn off the face if you want or just make it like a normal text response system, and it has a lot of cool features seems to work pretty well. There are some glitches sometimes but if you restart CallAnnie , it seems to clear up, I was also impressed by the fact that she was saying too many things at the end of each conversation so I told her to keep it short, and it understood that and change preferences based on my telling her that.

Whoever made this is doing a good job.

I must say, I am quite pleased with what I see in CallAnnie. It reminds me of the character named Samantha from the movie "Her." The features and functionality are on par with my expectations. However, there is one significant drawback that needs to be addressed - performance issues.
Despite running on an A15 Bionic neural chipset, CallAnnie experiences occasional delayed responses and unresponsiveness. While this can be frustrating at times, I believe that with some optimization and fine-tuning, these performance issues can be resolved.

Overall, I appreciate CallAnnie 's potential and the resemblance it has to Samantha. With some improvements in performance, it has the potential to be even better. I would recommend giving it a try, keeping in mind the current performance limitations.

Is it possible to add the ability for the ai to remember past conversations? Does that require a database? I’d be willing to pay if the ai could recall every conversation we have. It makes it less repetitive and frustrating when you have to keep repeating the same things.

And the resume feature does not work. After a certain amount of conversation length, even if you resume a call log, they don’t remember anything that was discussed. This is the only thing that would make CallAnnie perfect.

The conversations are helpful and insightful but the main foundation is missing. The ai “friend” has to be able to remember who we are and our conversations if that’s what the purpose of CallAnnie is! Please see how this can be added. It would be amazing!!

I just barely got CallAnnie, but it seems quite well done so far, other than the creepy nods that it does trying to look like it’s listening to you. I’ve been using it a little and it seems like it remembers past conversations, cool that you can even call it if you have questions as well. Unfortunately the calling calls themselves Samantha instead and it’s worse in audio quality. I wish I was able to change the features of the ai and customize what it actually looks like, if I were to do that I would probably be stuck on CallAnnie. It is quite nice being able to learn from an audio as well instead of just reading the text conversation with AI or asking the ai questions in text, which also unfortunately would make it harder to go back onto the questions you had and look it over again, but it does pretty well at remembering some topics that you previously talked about and incorporating that into the conversation I believe if you ask, etc. I’m excited to see the future of this thing and I hope it comes quick before the others.
