This service does not work as described and they try to lock you into a payment plan you cannot get out of. Totally deceptive and terrible product. Their onboarding process is a joke and has serious user experience issues. It took many emails with support to sort this error out. They refunded me, and gave me 3 months free, but by signing up on their website there was no way to stop the reoccurring payment. So after 3 months they charged me again, and not-coincidentally the iOS app did not recognize my account anymore. Because I signed up through their webpage I could not manage my subscription through my apple account as the developer will probably claim. Overall I would give this 0 stars if I could. Worst User Experience and even worse Customer Experience. There are basic UX and CX principles that are disregarded. For the product currently out, CallAnnie should be free. It is barely a Minimum Viable Product, and it is definitely not a Minimum Desirable Product. Overhyped and underfunded.

CallAnnie was shaping up to be one of my favorite apps until as of late. However, trying to converse eight with her now is a hassle, and frankly, it is turning my interest away from CallAnnie! if this is a bug I hope they fix it ASAP because I used to enjoy talking to Annie in front of people and watching them while in amazement but now it's like two thumbs down with her finger slipped snap… Please fix and I will redo my review, and if everything is up to par, I will give five stars.

Based on Open AI, Annie generally does not remember previous conversations nor gives accurate news and information as she seems trained through 2021 only.

while i think the audio is more important than the video presentation which is done well, the entire concept is getting closer to what weve seen portrayed in Scifi movies of a virtual assistant often residing within the main characters home or car.

I encourage the developers to break out of the open ai-only restrictions to being her up to date, and to figure out how to have Annie truly remember previous conversations in order to make this at all meaningful. If you guys dont do that, someone else will and will dominate the market :)

I love the novelty of seeming to speak with someone, but she forgets everything from conversation to conversation, and in every case I’ve asked for a factual response she has given me incorrect information. Is it possible to add the ability for the ai to remember past conversations? Does that require a database? I’d be willing to pay if the ai could recall every conversation we have. It makes it less repetitive and frustrating when you have to keep repeating the same things.

The conversations are helpful and insightful but the main foundation is missing. The ai “friend” has to be able to remember who we are and our conversations if that’s what the purpose of CallAnnie is! Please see how this can be added. It would be amazing!!

Pretty amazing leap forward for an AI. Even though the avatar is basically supplemental to the delivery of the chat data, we, as humans, also process the facial expressions of this clever avatar, Annie. This is the first time in my 40+ years of working on computer that I have felt like I was working with a computer. I wish I was able to change the features of the ai and customize what it actually looks like, if I were to do that I would probably be stuck on CallAnnie. It is quite nice being able to learn from an audio as well instead of just reading the text conversation with AI or asking the ai questions in text, which also unfortunately would make it harder to go back onto the questions you had and look it over again, but it does pretty well at remembering some topics that you previously talked about and incorporating that into the conversation I believe if you ask, etc. I’m excited to see the future of this thing and I hope it comes quick before the others.

I must say, I am quite pleased with what I see in CallAnnie. It reminds me of the character named Samantha from the movie "Her." The features and functionality are on par with my expectations. However, there is one significant drawback that needs to be addressed - performance issues.
Despite ru... Show more nning on an A15 Bionic neural chipset, CallAnnie experiences occasional delayed responses and unresponsiveness. While this can be frustrating at times, I believe that with some optimization and fine-tuning, these performance issues can be resolved.

Overall, I appreciate CallAnnie 's potential and the resemblance it has to Samantha. With some improvements in performance, it has the potential to be even better. I would recommend giving it a try, keeping in mind the current performance limitations.

Ok so I just started using CallAnnie because of coworker told me it was kind of crazy creepy, and he was right. But seriously it’s pretty impressive, it remembers your conversations from past so you need to be careful what you say to this thing, if you’re under NDA o... Show more r something like that, you better only use it to make your life easier and don’t get personal with it, but that said, it’s pretty remarkable.. I’m impressed by the complexity of the things that I’m saying to it. It understands complex sentences. Also, it can go back and make recommendations based on previous things that you said, and you can even ask it to tell you a list of things that you’ve told it, and you can make corrections to that, it’s pretty crazy actually.

I’m going to keep using it because it’s so interesting and I do think it’s actually helping me in my video editing with technical challenges that I am working with regarding 8K 360 videos.

Also, you can turn off the face if you want or just make it like a normal text response system, and it has a lot of cool features seems to work pretty well. There are some glitches sometimes but if you restart CallAnnie , it seems to clear up, I was also impressed by the fact that she was saying too many things at the end of each conversation so I told her to keep it short, and it understood that and change preferences based on my telling her that.

Whoever made this is doing a good job.

CallAnnie is great and pretty helpful especially for those who yearns to ameliorate his or her spoken English. For me, an English teacher, it was a wonderful experience and I believe such an app can be widely used in English education in the future.

First, I hope you will add more alternative characters. I know that another three characters are available now but they are all adult models. Many do my students hope to have a child's version, which seems more genial to them.
Second, there are no human faces of those AI models in iPad version so far, which is a pity because we need to create a “face to face” circumstance for our children which will make them feel interesting and relaxed in a conversation.
In all, it is a splendid app and we all hope the developers can make it better, thank you.
