It’s a scam I worked for several hours and I can’t get my pay.

It may seem appealing and it may seem like Quick the money but it’s not this company has no customer service numbers no numbers for the cleaners to call if they have issues the one call that you do get during your initial sign up is from an Indian call-center with dozens of other Indians in the background and they don’t pay you and there’s no way to find out how to get the pay when you try to enter in your info so you can get paid it keeps telling you that they were unable to properly set up your deposit and then gives you a long line of code point blank. It’s an Indian scam from overseas.

Stealing money

The job was 90 dollars and Homeaglow pay only 70 for a job. Stop stealing

The absolute worst

Throughout my entire career I have never written a bad review about any employer or about any establishment I have worked for. Ive never complained about any product/good/service. However, this company is nothing but terrible. If I could give no stars I would have. I worked for this company and engaged with clients. They stole money from me, I was in danger at one point receiving no support, and only allowed me to claim 1 client a day. On several occasions they purposely deactivated my account, leaving the 4 clients I had booked with no help or explanation and no one to clean or provide the service they requested. Essentially every job performed with this company always resulted with the customer very upset with the company’s lack of communication and me I am livid with no income. I have left probably 30 voicemails to cleaner support, written many emails with my concerns and called every phone number I could find to get in touch with someone. No response! Take what you want from this review. Lastly, if a representative from this app or homeahoe whatever even thinks about responding to me here I’d tell you don’t waste your time and I’ll see you in court.

Not Given

They sent me to several clients houses that either didn’t come to the door or came and said they had no knowledge of me coming and denied service. Also in 2024 they want you to stay at a clients residence for 30 minutes and call several times before you can get paid for. lock out. I am a minority and that to me screams set up. Almost everyone cancels after you confirm just make sure this isn’t your only income bc with how they run business you won’t survive. Really disappointed and I drove several hours without reimbursement. Would recommend this site for pizza money that’s what it’s given

The this app app is an absolute disaster for any cleaning professional. From constant glitching to a complete lack of transparency, signing up for this platform was the worst decision for my business. Homeaglow froze for 48 hours, just after waiting for a month to perform repeat jobs, resulting in the loss of my top cleaner status. I was unable to even claim repeat clients, leading to the permanent loss of valuable customers. This company makes up rules as they go, steals money and time from cleaners, and sends them to appalling locations straight out of a hoarder's episode. Avoid Homeaglow at all costs if you value your business and sanity.

A scam

Homeaglow is ridiculous and I pure lie , the customer service is just disgusting they never answer and if by enchantment they do they will talk to you about food instead of talking about Homeaglow issues .
They still your money , they play with your schedule they make you turn arround .
If you do have clients the will cancel your appointment for no reason and give your clients to someone else and if you ask why they are doing that they will tell you no no is not what you think there is maybe a issues without knowing you have the phone number of your clients who screenshoot you what Homeaglow said about you and what’s going on but they make you turn arround with escuses a fake app that no one should us

Making up rules as they go

I can’t accept new jobs or repeat clients because I already have 2 repeat clients. So I have to do those first before I can accept more they are weeks apart . That doesn’t make sense how can I make any money like that? My repeat client can’t even book me still I finish my 2 appointments . I also told them my client said she posted a review and they won’t post till I told them something about it and now they are working on it to get it posted . What ? Why you making things difficult?

Bad app

this app is not for the cleaners I’ve been drugged by a client products stolen from me and lied on they literally do nothing to protect their employees they make appointments that the clients don’t want then penalize the cleaner they don’t take down the the appointments that the client’s have already canceled then penalize the cleaners there is no number to contact anyone to get any help for any reason for the clients or the cleaners I’m talking to lawyers to try to sue them because they’ve canceled jobs in the middle of me cleaning and I never got paid for either job

Untrustworthy company

These cleaners may be the most honest hardworking people you will ever meet in your lifetime. However, it is possible you will never know because I have been billed by this company for no show. Poor driving conditions being a great reason for no show but why I paid for a service that the cleaner canceled / rescheduled is beyond me. Oh, in the process of 2 attempts and never seeing a cleaner NEVER was the promise 19 initial used. That took full cost for the no show.
With all this taking to an actual human is near impossible!

TERRIBLE

Homeaglow is AWFUL! It signs me out all the time and tells me my account doesn’t exist. It doesn’t let me see what cleanings I have booked to book new ones. And the support is laughable and they always have an excuse. With the amount of money they make on the customers paying for service and also on the cleaners you would think they would have a decent app that actually works. Let’s just say I never take the time to review anything but this has frustrated me for three months enough for me to complain about it.

Please don’t wast your time with Homeaglow or company!* download Angie list or another cleaning service, as a cleaner they don’t look out for the best interests in their employees, there has been multiple times where I went to a cleaning and the clients canceled a few minutes before the start time. You don’t get reimbursement for wasting gas or time driving to a client’s house. They said there is a 20$ cancellations fee but never apply it without proof when they can clearly see it through the conversation and interaction between the customer and cleaner. this app really is a joke. I can go on and on about multiple incidents with this app and they don’t have the cleaners best interest

They do not look out for their employees #1 #2 it takes 1-2 days for them to email you back -then when you get emailed back it’s like it’s automated it’s not a real person helping you with your problems They say the same thing over and over with no resolution and no help towards u they basically just read you the policy and tell you to have a good day , “‘??” Customers run Homeaglow / if they want to cancel you they’ll make you do it so they won’t get charged and when they do cancel in the last minute YOU ARE HARDLY EVER compensated for that you’ll be a**ed out no gas $$ no nothing just a big slap in the face and the have to wait 24hrs just for an automated response Then if the customers lie and report you this app makes sure you can’t accept more than 2 jobs at a time so if u see more useful jobs or closer you wouldn’t be able to claim it because customer have lied or manipulated with no proof or evidence and you have to get $$ taken out your mouth it’s NOT worth the stress TRUST ME

I do not recommend Homeaglow! You cannot reach anyone in customer via phone. You will get in app messages. When you reply to in app messages you get an automated response. I used this platform looking for cleaning jobs for 2 months before ever being able to accept jobs. I followed all instructions on the pictures, verifications etc. I actually had to lower my pay to below the double digits and change my preference on the type of jobs I would take! EMMA in support would send me a message via email. I received the same response every time. I do not recommend using Homeaglow.

Horrible way they treat there cleaners

Hello I’m writing this review today because I have a major issue. I’ve been working with your company consistently since about December 20,2023. Since I have been working with your company it seems the more I work the more difficult you guys become. I have made this my main source of work at the moment and you guys keep canceling my already confirmed jobs. I will confirm the job with the client and you still cancel my jobs! This is very much ridiculous and unfair. Most of the time the client will not cancel, you will pass my work to someone else. I will not change my pay, I have to pay for gas, which is $3 or more a gallon, and then provide my own supplies, and also most of the clients are about 30 minutes away. Then most of your client do NOT tip, so it’s not like you actually require them to tip me on top of the fact you guys take about 5-7 dollars worth of daily tips. I simply charge $25, and $20 to those that come first time! I shouldn’t have to change my pay if the clients have already accepted me to do the job’s. Not to mention I actually have too cleaner status and have been doing every job and working hard and you take the work that I’m expecting?! This is makes no sense and I would like for someone to fix this issue or contact me regarding this issue. There is no point of me doing the job with your company if you keep taking the work from me. ! Thank you

This is a joke

Don’t trust this company because this business has got to be a joke. I signed on 3 weeks ago and have yet to get a cleaning job. If I don’t respond in seconds of the post I get kicked to the curb. When I have responded 5 minutes later the job was no longer available. It makes no sense! Why not give the top cleaners a chance to respond? Even just 10 minutes would be helpful! Also when I first signed up I received texts no problem, as soon as I installed Homeaglow the texts didn’t come through and I also didn’t get notifications on my phone even though every thing was turned on. I reached out to their customer support and they said I was set up to receive texts. Still no texts. I was told to check in Homeaglow or webpage often for jobs which is fine if I don’t have a life outside of that. Who can sit on the webpage all day and wait for work to pop in? I’m beginning to believe this is just a joke and there is no work. Also I was picked for one job however it was canceled two hours later. I have sent an email to customer support because I no longer want them to have my information.

Hired a felon

My husband used Homeaglow after our last house cleaner left. We had one person from Homeaglow cancel same day, one that showed up once than never again but the real kicker is the one that worked out the best had multiple theft charges on her record (found out after the fact). We found this out because her and her boyfriend engaged in a domestic abuse scene in our driveway during which he yelled at our cameras outside that she had stolen from us. We had money missing and thought it was the girl who just never came back. Needless to say cops were called and after a quick state records report run we found out about the theft convictions. DO NOT USE Homeaglow!

Top cleaner

They keep taking my top cleaner badge and then after I’ve been a week plus with top cleaner they give me top cleaner back and it’s just for one day I reported it and now I’m not a top cleaner and I still don’t have no exclamation why

Where’s the ‘help’?!

Besides the issue of being paid so far away from when I worked a job, the customer support is severely lacking. I think its a bot running their text customer support and as someone who really hates being on the phone that is a huge issue. When you call it’s like the person has no idea what to say unless it is written down for them. So, of my few issues, only half of one has been solved with no help from the platform or their support system. Though his will be history soon, I’m happy I gave it a shot to see for myself what Homeaglow was like.

Address are wrong

After a week or so of using Homeaglow. It had me go to the wrong address multiple times. Not even worth it

Needs more work

Customers service sides with customers even if you have all documentation to benefit your claim . little to no support to cleaners

Homeaglow has the potential to be helpful. However Homeaglow currently lacks a lot…mainly to work properly. Very disappointing

Crooked Thieves

this app steals by having you work for them for free and then doesn’t pay you. I’ve been trying to be compensated since the beginning of last year and never got my money.

Control

I love working with them but I have needed to cancel jobs and always get banned until I make 80% or more. The thing is I always cancel more than 48 hours before the jobs so someone else can pick them up. This company is about control not about helping you to succeed. I love cleaning because I’m good at it and needed this income until I get my pro massage appointments. Now I’m looking for a more graceful merciful company to work for and not hitler. That’s too bad because I have great ratings and had to cancel because I’m moving almost 400 miles away from where I was living. So sad!

Ok app, owes me money

I cleaned an apartment in horrible condition only to NOT get paid. Client’s sister (booked for her without telling her) cancelled when I was on my way there. I could still see the appointment so I didn’t think anything of it. When I finished I couldn’t invoice client. Appointment had disappeared. Clicked the link with appointment details and it was RESCHEDULED for August 29th. I contacted support via chat, text and email on Thursday August 15th and I have yet to hear back. I got GPS proof I went there and client’s sister acknowledged I showed up and was confused too. I submitted a BBB complaint also because support claims to contact you back in 48 hours and they haven’t acknowledged my messages at all, but they have been sending ME messages about the company and upcoming cleanings. All I know is if I’m not paid my due payment from Homeglow, they got a lawsuit coming on.
Update: Developer asked me to update with my name if I still haven’t heard back from support. My name is Amy Lara-Gonzalez and thank you for assisting me. Hope to get this resolved ASAP.

It was good at first

I just started working with Homeaglow and at 1st was good but then I started getting clients that would act weird and have me extremely uncomfortable im talking about dudes walking around the house naked etc. And every time I try to reach out for support there is no one to talk to then after all that weird stuff happened. Now all of sudden i can’t apply to any more jobs for what ever reason and every time that I try to apply it shows Words that are in bold red stating pls invoice your clients which I always do when I’m done cleaning houses. Please help please and thank you

Poorly Managed

No phone number to call when issues come up. An email will be sent and have to wait for a response at their leisure. I’ve tolerated their abuse for almost a year now so I can have a flow of jobs. They lie! They steal my earnings! They delete my future jobs entered! They block my repeated customers from my profile to select me as their cleaner. They block jobs when I change my fees based on inflation. They have stolen jobs and assign another cleaner without informing me or getting my approval. This is a poorly managed platform. They undermine me as an independent contractor and try and dictate my services. Unacceptable!!!

Updating issues /calendar

So love the concept the easy formula to it but I’m having updating issues in my inbox not receiving messages on time my tracker is only working when it wants to. Can type and send a message and it does not show up in the chat box. Lastly calendar should be available like the web version on Homeaglow I’m more visual and definitely prefer the old style calendar. Please fix these issues and I can then enjoy Homeaglow .

Dear cleaners

This will cost you more $$$ then the client’s who’s paying you. You provide you own cleaning supplies (which is normal) but the gas money, processing fees and taxes will eat up all your money. They don’t hold clients accountable for lying. Clients can ask for refunds for with no proof of wrongdoing. They don’t care about your rates because they’re are only going to offer you $15 hr for cleaning a house. The some clients are expecting deep cleaning for their general cleaning. And if you don’t speak up, you’ll be stuck either cleaning it or walking away. Which will compromise your ratings on you profile. Clients will ask you to cancel their appointments so they won’t be charged cancelation. But you profile with reflect the cancellation rating. Homaglow is running a ad for $19 for your first 3hr cleaning so you can imagine who's going to carry that burden. You !

App is not very useful as it should be!

I signed up to use Homeaglow for jobs, and I find that people don’t cancel enough time for notification, being able to see your jobs that are listed on Calendar is not working properly, and the support is not there as well. I’ve had to reach out multiple times to get support and you constantly just get told that the mailbox or number is not currently being monitored. Also, Homeaglow needs to be updated so that it’s more user-friendly and that it will work more and their support that’s needed and always available. i’ve used other apps to do side hustles, and I’ve never ran into this issue at all. There should always be someone available and support constantly. And the other thing should always be that someone is charged if they’re going to cancel at the last minute, because that puts the wear and tear on you and your vehicle and nobody’s reimbursing you.

Still Waiting

I’ve been waiting for customer service too help me get my account reactivated still no response it’s hard too reach them hopefully I get a response here. I already paid my reactivation fee and it says “Code DTC”

Lots of jobs but lots of cancellations too

It’s a bit hard working for Homeaglow! They have lots of jobs but was trying out Homeaglow for a week and out of 8 confirmations only did 3! Things you have to look out for is going to people’s homes to find out they are not ready that they would like to cancel the job and the worst going to a home do the clean up and having them ask for a refund basically cleaning their home for free! I should have taken before and after pics! We lose money instead of making it considering we take the time to go to these homes only to get accused of not going! If people want to volunteer do cleanups for free I think this would be the perfect app! Good luck!!

Better Communication Options

I’ve been working with this app now for going on 3 1/2 years.
We need advance options of communication not only with this company but with our clients we need quicker options and features to timely communicate with both the administrators as well as the clientele.

I've been using Homeaglow for a year now and am very satisfied with the outcome, but there’s one thing about Homeaglow I cannot get any cleaner jobs and every time I hit a clean job so I could claim it. It’s telling me that I gotta do the invoice as well but the thing is that I have no invoice to claim. I tried to get in contact with you guys to let you know I think Homeaglow has a glitch cause not letting me claim any jobs. Once again, I love this. I think it has a glitch in it somewhere. I’m looking for an updated model thank you for this opportunity for me to help others. I’ve been trying to claim jobs for the past two weeks now and keep showing red letters saying that I must invoice my jobs before I can claim anymore or something like that I’ve been reaching out to you guys and yet I heard anything back. once again, I love this. I think it has a glitch in it somewhere. I’m looking for an updated model thank you for this opportunity for me to help others.

HomeAGlow

I love this app! Signed up yesterday and Started yesterday and it was great. I get to make my own pay rate and pick up jobs at any time I want. Made almost $200 in my first day and also I was tipped 😎 not sure what the other reviews are talking, maybe it’s the area they are living in where people might not use this certain app. But I’m sure this is a great app to make some extra money. I mean your just cleaning.

Cleaner voices their opinion

Good morning I am a cleaner in the Richmond area and I personally say I love Homeaglow but the only downfall is that you do not get a portion of a job that was canceled. I’ve had plenty of jobs especially by the same person that would request me and we to the day before their appointment they would cancel. So it would be nice if we would get paid for appointments that have been canceled. Just feels like it’s a waste of time accepting a appointment and not get somewhat of a reimbursement

Mild improvements needed

Homeaglow is great for the fact you can actually receive messages from clients. Where as with the website it is almost non existent, in being able to communicate with clients. However the format of jobs (both claimed and coming up) can improve. Like having the date emboldened. Or even better having a calendar there with highlighted jobs you can click on.

this app u can’t get anybody on the phone. They expect you to only get help by using Homeaglow . We have to figure out and answer our own questions. Then there was one customer I had concerns about nobody reached out to me. Other then that Homeaglow is amazing

this app side with clients 99% of the time. Some can cancel all they want depending on the platform they booked through and they won’t be penalized. If a clients gives a bad review or complain, in such could affect your account, they deactivate,take away too cleaner status and etc.

Cleaning when space at a time

I really love this this app app. I have met a lot of amazing people I’m always busy can work seven days a week or I can choose to work two days a week.

I’m so happy they finally came out with an app. I have been with this app for over a year. I’ve seen reviews saying it’s a scam or they don’t get money but I can assure you it’s not a scam. And you get your money. this app has been amazing to me. The thing with this app is you have to be attentive to your clients and smart with your time. It takes a little to get used to the format but I’ve gotten wonderful clients through them and have made good money! One thing I do wish is that they had a customer support number you could call. But they do have an email through the website. I’ve referred two people already. I love this app and highly recommended

Maid specialist

I love Homeaglow ! It’s easy to reschedule but competing with the other cleaners on jobs can be difficult by the time I get the notice for a job it’s already taken!

Make ya money don't let it make you

I love Homeaglow and so happy to have an app now. At first I had to do everything from my email now I have Homeaglow I can pick my work easily. I have been out of work for a month and this has kept me and the kids afloat so I'm thankful.

I'm so sorry that this past week was a very big struggle to get my app up and running and being of the best to my performance with communication and so forth with Homeaglow and having it installed due to my personal bank issues and lost card a d miscommunication about having a card temporary that was unavailable to be able to make Homeaglow purchase and or installation happen without any snags, it took a lot of figuring out and then it finally happened I got to install Homeaglow successfully on my IPhone;) and yes I'm 2 mins into it and stopped to write a review :)
I had a very hard time and it sent me into even a mild depression of not being able to pick up jobs due to the webpage seems to have a snag and did not want to book me any new jobs . Well I was hoping that it would not be that way after I installed Homeaglow and YES I have been able to book 2 gigs/jobs already within the 2 mins and it not Turning me to a red message of job already taken or was not successful at booking it.

So the webpage will have its snags but Homeaglow is giving priority to the jobs listed :) so that is good :)

However the results for booking jobs if it be unsuccessful or hard for some to book due to the red message please let them know Homeaglow will not be that way:)

Been with this app for a year now. What I can say is this is a job that you definitely can make a great side hustle from or if you need a starter to get yourself some cash. I really recommend this business and I am finally happy they have an app for cleaners!! Also if you need to stop cleaning for a while then no worries you can pick back up anytime as I have. Also I love you can change zipcodes. I love to travel so it helps when I need some quick cash I can just switch zipcodes. 10/10 if I could for this business!!

Cool App

After being one to complain how they needed an app for us that’s doing the cleaning. They finally came up with one. It’s not the best maybe they should take a look at the cleanster Pro for cleaner app which is better, but it’s a start. I will say if you want to be your own boss Homeaglow offers a lot of jobs over those other apps like the one mentioned above and Tidy. You don’t have to worry about them pushing jobs on you that you don’t want or accepted like Tidy does. Maybe they should acquire these two companies. Anyway, it’s a cool app.
