Grand War 2: Strategy Games Reviews

The first week is fun, the second week is when the cracks starts to show. I dropped some cash on this game cause I thought it would be fun. Unfortunately I’m now stuck on the napoleon battle number 8. What has happened in the three weeks I’ve played is you don’t win enough silver to upgrade your troops. In fact there are some many units that it’s impossible to upgrade without spending money. Also in the higher levels the enemy seems to get endless reinforcements with upgraded troops. In battle I’m doing now they are level 14 so when my level 12 line infantry meets a level 14 it’s a massacre. Also if you lose a legion troop it’s gone gotta have gold to heal it that’s money. In the upper levels in some battles you don’t get a supply wagon which helps troops. If the earnings were better, an amount of time to get legions back, the cost of upgrading cheaper and better way to get reinforcements it wouldn’t be that bad. Oh one more major problem when the AI is in control of the ally troops it’s dumber than a box of rocks. I’ve watched legion troop get wiped out in a few moves. Allowing the player control of those troops would make it a lot better.

A really fun game that isn’t pay to win. You accumulate silver and gold pretty steadily and consistently, with the daily challenges and the game starts you off with a pretty hefty sum to begin with. Gameplay is very entertaining for those of us who enjoy the period with some levels needing good creativity to overcome. Pretty good unit variety too for a fresh game. Also this game has some of the best customer support I’ve experienced from any game. Can’t wait to see what’s added

This game vaguely reminds me of Ultimate General: Civil War with the use of supply wagons, upgrading your soldiers, and deploying your own soldiers. I think it’s better than most of the hex warfare games on GrandWar2 Store, just for those reasons alone, its also playable without being a pay to win.

As of now, I would rate this game pretty high, as far as being historically accurate, it’s meh, it’s an app game. They did their homework enough to pull you into the scenarios but beyond that it falls short of being completely accurate. They did a good job and I hope that they cover more topics in the future.

My biggest suggestion is bite the bullet on day one and get the higher end VIP deal. You get a pretty good return for the money and it helps you feel like you moving forward on a daily basis. You will need to do some in game purchasing but it’s not nearly as bad as most the games out there in order to feel like you able to advance and move along the game.

It might just be me but whenever I start up a game my battery loses power at an insane rate in a matter of minutes and heats up my phone which rarely happens for me so I literally uninstalled the game after a few missions as I also don’t intend to spend money on this game when I did on the other anyways the game isn’t that bad I like the new status and everything like the shooting with range so not bad overall. (Can you finish the original game before making another not trying to be pushy just wanted something finished)

This game has really set me back on mobile streak of playing games. I love war history. Preferably the Napoleonic Era, so this game is just for me. I had no problems with mechanics or miscommunication issues at all. I love that during the loading screen of a battle, it gives you real information on the war that occurred. Overall I highly recommend trying this game out.

This strategy games and war games is strategy and it puts you were the men and women who taught for this country. You can buy guns used in war and even the hats and stuff like that. So I say you need to buy it!

I’m excited about the release. I enjoyed the first game and put in many hours into it. I like the many new features so far. The game feels improved. However, I can’t continue to play. This game drains my battery like nothing else and after just a few minutes in. My phone overheats. I’ve never had this issue with other games.

I’m addicted to this game. The beginning levels are easy but the farther you go the harder it gets. I just finished battle of austurlitz on Napoleon’s campaign after 3 weeks of trying. It’s basically a complex game of chess. Love it

I love these games, but translate your games into Russian, and many fans of your games in Eastern Europe will be satisfied. Also, please make a voice-over for the units, according to their language, so that everyone does not speak English when Prussians or Austrians speak English, it's strange. I will raise my rating from myself when this happens.

All of the games crafted by this developer are amazing. The games he makes are challenging and very well built to keep you interested and entertained. If you like strategy games like Risk, you will love this game.

This game is fun, but you should add an option where you can switch the units language like they should speak french to make this game more authentic

Nice fair balance between pay-to-advance faster or grind your way up for free. Good meta game advancement and fun to play. If you like turn-based war you should try this one.

This game is so accurate as to what happened in in the napoleonic wars unlike other games that are showing completely fake events

This is one of the best games I have ever played that’s historically related games I have played this game for like 2 hours already and I just got it

I love it but as it goes on it gets harder
So please make some not hard levels
And I think this is just a remake of the first

I am a massive history enthusiast, especially the napoleonic wars, and this game was amazing! I play it in my free time, but I will say, it is addictive!

I played the first many times. The improvement and new features is awesome. I am really enjoying the new look and new sounds. I was really getting tired of the horn/trumpet sound that went off every time you kill, captured or destroyed something that horn/trumpet went off. Loving the gunshots and the voice sounds as well. I’m looking forward to playing and learning more about this game. So excited to see what each level brings and continue the Napoleonic War.

Hi. It second game i play from this developer . I like that it really try hard you need think like in chess . In this version i like that they added camps to troops which is cool mechanic especially for people who don’t donate much and need rotate army more often . from cons unclear mechanic of dmg. I have cavalry lvl15 as my enemy . I run for 6-7 steps and hit him for 100 when enemy cavalary without even move hit me for 350 ( see level 3 of special event ) One more good thinks in both games that developers add special events get more loot , but for battle pass i recommend to add more levels ( for rome game too) because i rome i have 180 starts when battle pass only for 90. p.a will be also good add reset button for tech

Fix the bug with your ads. When I try to use an ad to heal my troop the game crashes and when I try to use an ad to get more rewards after a battle the game crashes. Fix the bug in level 7 of napoleon…main mission is to destroy enemy main force but when you click on the arrow it does not show where the main force is located

This must be a the best game I played I use to play other games that were Napoleonic war but they were never this detailed keep it up man

I was looking for a war game after watching some history on Fredrick the great and found this really like it forces my mind to think although one of the levels was kinda a pain I eventually figured it out but ya it’s pretty fun

I like being in control of units. I wish they added like a skirmish where you can pick your own side. There could be a lot of room for improvement; However, this is an additive game!

Most incredible turn based strategy game I’ve ever played. The challenge is there for those who love military games like this. Love playing. What a wonderful way to learn about military history with the true to life leaders and military units. WELL DONE!!!. P A LAKE

This is my fav out of all of them but the genarals are way to overpriced I have spent over 100 dollars on generals but it was worth it fun gameplay is not trash the movement it awesome and you can move good but just a little complaint about the generals being overpriced but it’s good bye!

I was looking for a fun military strategy game and this has been perfect! It’s challenging at times, which makes me want to play more! There are some mistakes in the English texts, but they don’t take away from the experience. I would love to help edit the dialogue!

Excellent game! Great graphics! Wasn’t quite sure what was going on when some units wouldn’t do anything when selected. Must’ve been AI helping out and saying to me, “Be patient.” Perfect timing for when Napoleon came out in theaters.

The game is one of the best strategy games of its kind and of its historical era, in spite of the occasional minor historical inaccuracies and broken grammar.

However my biggest issue with this game is that a noticeable chunk of the troops and generals - especially the best ones - can only be bought with real life $. I wish that they could be bought with in-game currency even if the price of in-game currency was high at least make it able to be achievable without the need of real money.
Having in-game achievements/items be made EASIER by purchasing with real money is fine, but having them ONLY be able to be obtained with real money is a really greedy thing to do. The only real $ exclusive offers should be for cosmetic things that don’t serious hold back your in-game performance. This is a common theme for these strategy games that I hope will stop.
The small saving grace is that for troops/generals/purchases that can be bought with in-game currency they are usually pretty generous with how easy it is to earn in-game currency rewards.

6.5/10 rating, would be 9/10 if there weren’t so many paywalls.

The game is rich in detail and brings to life combat in the 18th-19th century. Theres plenty of content to shape the geopolitical powder keg that was Europe. Definitely worth at least checking out. I just really don’t see how it’s possible to upgrade, acquire, or utilize any troops or generals that could possibly even compete beyond the first 2 chapters without spending money. The biggest problem is claiming a single pack that comes with a handful of things is worth a discounted $100 down from a $500 value. $500 seriously for only a few things? All together you could spend $200 up front, more than any other game, in order to make a splash. I’ve put probably $40 into this and 2 of those purchases I believed to be perpetual rewards but nope that was a quick $15 off me. I would need to hit the lottery if I ever wanted to experience the fullness of this game and I think as a consumable product that misses the mark.

I love the game im just wondering and hoping if there would be an north American version coming out with the mexican revolution, the american revolution and the fighting that happened between the French, English, spanish and Native Americans

This game was actually the first Napoleonic wars game I’ve played but anyways as I was saying this game is really good and fun to play and the Napoleonic wars was my favorite history to learn about it was pretty cool and this game reminded me about the Napoleonic wars. I remember austerlitz kaub Leipzig the invasion of Russia the battle of arcole and that was pretty fun to learn about so yeah this game is really fun man keep it up.
