Y’all! Deglaze is truly AMAZING!!!! I have never wrote a review for an app but I had to for this! I have had tons of videos saved from social media for recipes for years. But honestly have I done anything with them, no, hardly ever. The task of scrolling to find the right video, writing down the recipe, and cooking instructions is a nightmare! Then looking up recipes online can be a pain and not to mention the annoying adds! Uhh! Deglaze has truly saved me so much time and effort! I love cooking and trying new recipes ideas and this makes it an amazing experience! I’ve even save natural home remedy recipes as well has homemade beauty product recipes and cleaning solution recipes. You can edit the original recipe you imported if you want to, you have easy link access to the original post from social media. You can create your own tags for easy filtering. And the shopping list!! Oh my goodness the shopping list is so convenient and a total game changer! Scroll through and simply add the meals you want to make for the week to your shopping list and BOOM. It’s even categorize by meat, produce, bakery, etc. I wish I knew about Deglaze way sooner!!!!

Digging Deglaze so far. It’s a very clean aggregator for recipes I find across the web, and with the “X-ray” feature, it eliminates all the clutter like ads and pop-ups (One feature on my wishlist is to be able to fire up a recipe in X-ray mode by default).

I also enjoy the recommendations, as well. I like that they are on a separate tab, so it doesn’t clutter up the recipes I have saved, but it’s still easily accessible if I’m looking to be inspired (they have a wide variety of main dishes, appetizers, and desserts to browse).

TL;DR: Clean, simple, functional. Tags work well, recommendations are separate but easily accessible, has a built-in mode to eliminate clutter. 5/5!

I found so many recipes I wanted to try. I was tired of having to copy and paste them into my notes. When I would start to cook them, I couldn’t find the page again. Now I’m able to forward the recipe to this app and save it. It will take you to the post to. I’ve saved recipes from Facebook, tasty, online, and TikTok. I’ve already recommended it to many people. It also is nice having the check list to go by with the option for it to read it to you as well.

Deglaze is absolutely amazing! I’ve spend countless hours purchasing and downloading digital cookbooks from Etsy only to have the constant agony of spending hours inputting the recipes only to have glitches with the download itself. Deglaze is super cool! I have so many receipts saved in Pinterest and other websites and to have an app that not only brings them together but downloads the meat and potatoes of the recipes. One thing about Deglaze is that has a “xray” which allows for just the receipt portion to be seen, not all the analytical’s of what the recipe means to author. I love it!

I’m feel most inspired about food from videos on social channels so I have collections saved in those apps with my recipes but almost never make them since it just doesn’t translate to my actual food plans IRL. But Deglaze is amazing and recognizes the recipe in captions or is super easy to add your own info. Also the AI generated tags are super impressive without locking you in - you can still make your own. I can’t wait to use this everyday. My only suggestion is a ‘save’ button at top right when editing recipes (vs scrolling to bottom).

With a certain social app most likely going out of commission, I was hunting for a way to save collections and Deglaze was a great way to save the recipes that I've accumulated! It can only read recipes from a caption on social media but it's better than losing every recipe altogether. I always save recipes in random places but now I can add them all to one app and even link the original website! There's a tag system that I haven't used yet but I think it'll be helpful as I collect more recipes
Really clean layout and lots of recipes that you can look up

I must have downloaded 10 other recipe apps. Most of them require subscriptions and only a couple of them had a scanner that would transcribe the ingredients and directions. They were either extremely slow at it or it would be fully of errors. Deglaze instantly finds the text and does it flawlessly. I can add my own photos and notes. Another important feature for me was the ability to share with my family. I’m excited to actually start cooking with Deglaze and using the grocery and timer features. I’m honestly surprised that it is free. The developers did an amazing job.

I love Deglaze it’s amazing, I love how i can save recipes and it can simplify them down for me and how I can add them to the grocery list and it will organize it by ASLE! The only downside is I wish that I could save videos or recipes that don’t have a written recipe already written in the description or if it we’re written in the video that Deglaze could somehow take that information and still write out a recipe and some other apps can do that but they aren’t free which is another reason why I love this one. As well as I wish I could organize the recipes a little easier than they currently have set up through the tags but Overall great app!

This is exactly what I’ve always needed, but assumed didn’t exist - and definitely not for free. I’ve tried a million digital DIYs with note apps, database apps, saving files just by tags… all of it. None of it worked. I absolutely hated it.
Deglaze is the solution. I’m able to drop in all the meal prep recipes from my favorite creators, directly share the social media posts to Deglaze without doing any of my own clean up, and that’s before I ever open Deglaze . The in-app cooking mode, quick timers, and filters are game changing. I’m steadily clearing out years of saved social media posts and random files now that I can actually find and use them in an organized app.

I downloaded 6 of these apps to see what I liked. This is what I stuck with.
- it’s free
- no limits on number of recipes
- the AI for taking a picture of a recipe and Deglaze converting it to text is the best I’ve seen so far
- great sorting and search function
- great for families - I’m doing this as a Christmas gift. I’m putting in all my personal recipes and all my cookbooks, and my family can download Deglaze and see my recipes. Unfortunately they have to be added to my “family”, which means they can edit my recipes and I can see theirs in my account. If they aren’t added to your family or household or whatever, they can’t lookup your recipes
- can add pictures and custom tags
- haven’t used the grocery list function but it looks great. You can share your list with other people in your household if they also have Deglaze .
- find new recipes from other people in app

App is for iPhone and tablet, you can’t access on your computer. Additionally, you can’t print it. I would love a way to copy and paste it, or export it to a Google doc or another recipe app.

I cannot say enough good things about Deglaze! You can easily add from a URL, you can take a photo from a written or typed recipe, even something online (I do this with instagram recipes shared in comments). Then you can add groceries, and remove any items you have. When you start cooking and view instructions and ingredients tab, you can check off as you add each ingredient, and highlight the instructions as you go to each step. It even has a timer you can use. Lastly, you can view the recipe online in another tab, or add your own notes in the last tab. Now it doesn’t have collections or groups to organize, but instead has tags. So it will automatically add a tag, but you can go in and update or add your own. Then when you need a recipe, you can just search the tag which works just like a collection. I have been looking for something like this for years! This is such a lifesaver for cooking and organizing all your recipes.

I’ve been trying to find a way to save recipes rife quite awhile, I had given up, and started doing screenshots, cropping out adds and unwanted things on the page. My photos was filling up fast, and I still hadn’t found any way of actually saving them beyond copying them onto recipe cards. Then, on a fluke, I found this app. I’ve gone through all the screenshots, googled the recipe for each, and downloaded them into Deglaze . Easy to use. The x-ray part is what sold me. Bring up your recipe, tap the x-ray button, and zap, all the adds and extra stuff disappears and the recipe is clear. There is also a grocery cart, tap that and it will make you a grocery list. I’m telling you, Deglaze is the greatest,

Just downloaded Deglaze recently but so far I absolutely love it ! I spent three hours loading all 430 recipes I had saved on instagram to this app and if they didn’t make it so easy to download stuff I’m sure it would have taken me three times as long! Beautifully made and has awesome features like ticking off ingredients as you add them and timers available set in the recipe itself so you don’t have to click off to another app. Love that you can make notes for recipes you’ve made to other users and then have separate notes for yourself on that same recipe. Fantastic app and if I could give it more than five stars I would. Thank you this app for making hobby cooking easy peasy !

I NEVER write reviews for apps but I am OBSESSED with Deglaze and have gotten almost all my friends to use it too!! If you are like me and get most of your recipes off tik tok, instagram, or websites, then you know it’s a pain trying to find the specific recipe you saved a while ago but not cannot find. Deglaze allows you to import recipes from social media, websites, and pictures ALL FOR FREE!!! Other apps like this only let you save 5 recipes before they try to get you to pay for “premium memberships” which is ridiculous. Deglaze also allows you to create grocery lists, walks you through each step of your recipes, and after you cook you can rate your recipe and record how long it took you to make it. I cannot say enough good things about Deglaze!!!

I was going to make my own app for personal use. I wanted to be able to scan the many recipes I have (from books, magazine strippings, Pinterest) save them in one place, choose what I want to eat (meal planning) and then print out a groceries list. I tried cook’n and Kuri before I found this app. I’m working on figuring out getting recipes off Pinterest, but everything else since I’ve started using it has been great. They don’t throw ads in my face, they aren’t threatening me with a 7 day free subscription, it’s just true to its tool. I recommend you use it and see if it fits your needs. As a full time working dad, my wife usually cooks otherwise we wouldn’t eat till 7-730, but this is saving me lots of time and helping me. Then you can add family members, which is just the best.

Deglaze is incredible for helping me manage cooking as a neurodivergent woman. It syncs seamlessly on my iPad AND my iPhone.

You can search recipes, save them to your library, import them from socials/online blogs etc. You can also add all the ingredients from a recipe to a grocery list, with single tap.

The sharing capabilities are seamless; my partner and I have shared for our meal planning, which also includes the grocery list. Our shopping trips are divide-and-conquer and twice as fast now, since we can see in real time what the other person is getting as they check the item off the list.

The Live Cooking mode is incredible. It allows you to check off ingredients step by step as you add them, in addition to highlighting whichever your current step is. There’s great personalization in Deglaze ; I made the font super big on my iPad so I could see it across the kitchen while I was using a mixer, etc. There’s also a tab that lets you add notes to specific recipes, so that you can reference what you need later!! It will also scale recipes for you (double batch, half recipe, etc).

Deglaze is probably the GREATEST thing to happen to my cooking and meal planning journey, and I’m pretty sure I’m underutilizing many of its incredible features.

I love Deglaze and it’s made cooking so much easier. I have 2 issues with Deglaze. The first is when you enter the “cooking” mode it just gives you the list of ingredients, but not when to add them or access to the recipe with the instructions. Add the steps to the “cooking” mode with check off options as well.

The other issue is that notes are not added to the xray view. I don’t always add notes to a recipe and found it’s better to add steps to the instructions instead of using the “notes” option if I do want to make notes as they don’t show up unless I go back to the notes tab or after I’ve finished cooking and press the “end cooking” button then see previous notes I’ve left on a recipe.

With these 2 changes Deglaze would be even better.

I used to make a recipe I found on the internet by copying all the ingredients to a checklist and then scrolling up and down to see how much of what to add when. Later when I wanted to make that same recipe I’d have to sift through the hundred different individuals making the same recipe to find the one I liked. With this app I import the recipe once and everything is done for you. It lets you add all of the ingredients to a shared shopping list with your family, flip seamlessly between ingredients and recipe instructions and even supports timers. All of my recipes are stored in this app and you can even search your recipes by ingredient when you find you have too much eggplant and no idea what to do with it. I also find the feed of what others have cooked to be inspiring. I have found many great recipes from the other users on this app. Overall it’s a very helpful app for going from recipe to dinner!

The grocery list feature alone has change my life. It Quickly imports groceries straight from your recipe, organizes them by grocery aisle, and easily allows to you to delete things you already have (thereby saving you $ and minimizing food waste), and you can add things not listed so all your grocery needs are in one place! Did I mention you can also share your account with others in your household (so they can do to grocery shopping!)

For someone who likes (not loves) to cook Deglaze makes cooking new recipes SO easy and fun. I love how it takes recipes from online with terrible formatting and IN SECONDS gives you all your groceries and your recipe steps in simple, beautiful, user friendly steps, WITH built in timers. It just makes recipes seem so easy and doable.
AND when you’re cooking, Deglaze stays open so you’re not constantly having to unlock your phone with food all over your hands- these people have thought of everything.

I’ve had so many iOS notes, Google docs, bookmarks across websites and social media apps trying to save recipes I come across - an unmanageable mess - until today! Deglaze is literally changing my life - clever use of Ai, delightful and simple experience, with all my recipes in a single place. SOOO easy to share from any source.

Thanks this app. You guys are really awesome for building this and making it free. I will be your loyal user for as long as I need sustenance to live.
