Spanish School Bus for Kids Reviews

I give SpanishSchoolBus five stars because they let you try a couple levels before you actually commit and for the simple fact you can turn off the background music. I have other Spanish learning apps for my 3 year old twins that are just as good, but have distracting background music. As for the other aspects of SpanishSchoolBus it has great flash cards for each level and the games are engaging. It is just the right level of learning for younger children...not to difficult they don’t get the concept, not so easy they lose interest. It has all the beginning vocabulary you need for a preschool child. I looked through a lot of apps before I went with this one and you get a lot of bang for your buck. I have one app I spent more than twice the amount and my twins just didn’t seem to be picking up the vocabulary. In my opinion it was just to distracting and busy...instead of learning the words all they wanted to do was push the little blocks around the screen and with the music in the background I didn’t feel they were actually focusing on the actual word being pronounced. I know this review is a little lengthy but I know I rely on the opinions of others to help me decide before I purchase. So hope this helps.

I speak fluent Spanish and its is so important to me that my children learn the language for family and future purposes. Since they will learn English from growing up in the US, I do not want them spending too much time on English activities, especially on the electronic devices. Often times I don't feel language apps are authentic enough and the Spanish does not seem native.

SpanishSchoolBus is wonderful! Design, content, and variety are all very impressive. I like that they offer flash cards (electronic and printable), songs with music videos, and excellent visuals! They did their research and found very efficient ways in e- teaching! My two year old (almost three) flew through the demo in less than a week and so I decided to purchase the full version (my first time doing so for my children). SpanishSchoolBus is a STEAL for what it teaches early learners. My American husband is getting a kick out of it also!

I got SpanishSchoolBus for my 4-year-old. He likes the flash cards and the first two games for each topic, but the third game is too hard for him because it goes too fast. He loses stars and gets upset. Aside from that it’s an ok app. The games are exactly the same for each topic, just with different vocabulary words. Eventually that part might get boring. Each flash card has a picture and the word. The words don’t help him since he can’t read yet, but it would be helpful for people who can read. He benefits from hearing each card read aloud and I ask him to repeat. It has also been good for him to practice words in English that he doesn’t know yet because we do it together and I tell him what it is in English. For example, he learned “wheelchair” and “walker” because he saw the pictures and when we played the games I told him what to pick using the English word. There are a few short videos related to a few topics but they’re not that great.

This is an awesome game for kids who want to learn Spanish. It helps sooo much, so kids can learn Spanish with games, and music. This is a awesome learning game. My only bad thing is you have to pay for levels. This kid is so fast, she got through all the levels! The levels she COULD do. There are four or five levels that are free. There are sooo many other levels, but you have to pay to do them. Now this kid can not learn all the Spanish I thought she could learn from this game. I’m not saying you shouldn’t get this game, because it’s awesome. I’m just saying that you should be aware that you have to buy levels.🙂

** update: we found out what likely lost all our data - a delete button on the achievements page. It’s location makes it VERY easy to accidentally push. A message to developers - please consider moving this feature. It doesn’t need to be so easy to do, even make it a protected feature, like you have in other places, requiring a math problem solved by an adult to access. If this is fixed I will give 5 stars. I have now bought full access to SpanishSchoolBus because my son enjoys it so much and we know to avoid the delete button now.

We're only using the free version, but my son had earned a few achievements he was very proud of and while he was looking at it, all the data just disappeared. He's devastated. Will not be purchasing.

SpanishSchoolBus made it so easy to understand! Lemme explain, they will teach you words on flash cards then test you! They associate the spanish word with the corresponding picture! Other apps will associate the spanish word with the English translation and it gets overwhelming. This time, no! They of course tell u what it means on the flash cards but when they test you its fast paste! They tell u a spanish word and show 3 flash cards and you pick which one u think it is but its timed! The timer motivates me to keep doing the test until i get FULL points! Thank you app!!!

As an adult learner, I get a little bored and confused by the common language learning apps. SpanishSchoolBus is a lot of fun for an adult learner. I especially like how it does not give the English word so you are associating an image with the Spanish. There are a few technical problems where if you hit a special item SpanishSchoolBus crashes, and also you might accidentally click outside of the extra information. But overall SpanishSchoolBus works well. I will probably buy the full version.

As an almost 19 year old who is taking a year off of school, I decided to learn Spanish to keep my mind busy. I figured if SpanishSchoolBus works for kids it would work for me, and I absolutely love it!! I use it in combination with other resources, but it really helps me start to associate spanish words with everyday objects, because (like another reviewer stated) it doesn’t translate from English to Spanish, it teaches you the words like you would teach a child to speak English.

¡Me gusta! I have been trying to learn Spanish through the years via classes and other language learning apps/software, and this is by far the most entertaining! Although this is geared towards children, I think it is perfect for any beginner or novice. I wish SpanishSchoolBus , or even the company behind it, had a section for listening to children's stories in Spanish to improve listening skills, but other than that, SpanishSchoolBus rocks!

Fun way to quickly learn vocabulary. Great games. Critiques so far are that it crashes often when I am going for the piñata...
And the days of the week and months of the year need a different format. All the icons look the same. When you are playing match or they are being tossed upside down, it isn't ideal. The only difference on them is the word, and I'm not great at reading a moving picture upside down. Change these things and I rate it a 5.

We tried out a bunch of different Spanish apps for my 4year old son and we both liked this one the best. The only frustrating part is the time limit in the games is too short for think time for him sometimes and he gets really frustrated when the answer is shown before he has had enough time to figure out the correct response.

I googled "Spanish apps for kids" and found an article recommending this one. I figured I'd try it since it was free. My 4 and 5 year olds love it, and they are actually retaining the information. They see it as a game, and try to get the highest score. We do a lot of homeschool-ish work outside of regular school, and they can't wait to finish their other activities so they can play on SpanishSchoolBus. I would recommend it for all ages.

I have been using SpanishSchoolBus for a few weeks now and absolutely love it! I'm raising bilingual kids, and SpanishSchoolBus keeps them engaged and wanting to challenge themselves more. I'm also a Spanish teacher grades k-8 and my students love when I quiz them using SpanishSchoolBus, even the older students think is fun. I wish there were a few more subjects like emotions, or different categories of animals. So far I love it!

I like SpanishSchoolBus a lot I’m trying to learn Spanish and SpanishSchoolBus helps me instead of showing the words it shows a picture with it to help me under stand. I Like that it has different levels based on the same thing to help you get a better understanding. I give this 5 stars. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I think it would be a fantastic app, but i have never been able to get the sound to work on it. I have other Spanish learning apps where the sound comes on fine so I don’t feel like it’s an issue with my phone? So it would work for me (since I can read), and I can tell that it would be great if you could hear someone talking. So I would suggest trying it out to make sure the sound comes through for you before you go ahead and purchase it.

I bought SpanishSchoolBus for my granddaughter who is in a Spanish Immersion kindergarten class. I'm very pleased with SpanishSchoolBus but my only disappointment is that the words flash by too quickly, so fast that I can't even read the word(s) before the next word pops up. Either slow it down or add a feature that allows the users to manipulate the speed to the reader's rate.

I've had SpanishSchoolBus since my first child was in kindergarten. We started with the free version and he learned so much. Now we have purchased the paid version and there is so much to learn! This is the best Spanish app for children I have found. It is simple enough that he can play without my intervention.

The price is fine, SpanishSchoolBus is great. But how many times will I have to pay it?!?

This is an amazing app! I have been very lazy with my Spanish and SpanishSchoolBus has helped me to learn and have fun. Even though I know some Spanish SpanishSchoolBus has helped me excel in my Spanish also to get a better understanding of things. I also like that SpanishSchoolBus has three games. To me it doesn't even feel like I am learning! I am in 6th grade and SpanishSchoolBus has driven me to be a better Spanish speaker! 😝😜😀

This is a great Spanish app for kids except that after a couple times of using it the sound stopped working. I deleted and re downloaded it and it honored my purchase. Unfortunately it keeps doing the same thing so it’s kind of annoying to have to repeatedly delete and reinstall. Someone mentioned that the sound works with headphones on so I guess I’ll try that if the sound cuts out again.
