- Allows for storing older magazines on the iPad
- Provides a digital version of the magazine for those with a print subscription
- Offers a paid subscription option for the magazine
I just paid for a 1-year subscription, downloaded December's issue, and WineEnthusiast won't open. What a waste.
Using the iPad Pro (original), I can't return to the library after opening an issue without deleting WineEnthusiast and downloading it again.
Please follow the lead of other magazines and include the digital version with the regular subscription.
It makes no sense why you would make your print subscribers pay AGAIN for the digital edition.
It is April 30. The June print issue has dropped yet the most recent issue on iTunes is April. Not even May. This was a complete waste of money.
I too wonder why if I subscribe to the print issue, why I cannot get it electronically also for when I travel and don't want to carry along the larger magazine.
Every time I try to open an issue a message saying newer version of WineEnthusiast is needed yet there is no update. Where is the update being referred to?
I paid for a paper subscription but I cannot add my subscription info in order to view it online also. I can with other magazines.
In my opinion, any magazine or newspaper that tries to charge me twice for the same content loses my business. Like wine enthusiast, a magazine I've had for years. It's 2013 get with the program.
Why not?
should not have to pay for an iPad subscription when I have a paid print subscription.... Food and Wine does it right!
The last issue is April 2017. No new issues will be made available. That was also when my subscription re-uped so it seems I'm out the full years fee.
Why must I pay to download electronic copies of a magazine I subscribe to in print? Since you print you magazine in a large format that is difficult to travel with this is even more annoying. Get with the program!
When I open WineEnthusiast , there are only two options to choose from: a one year subscription, or the May 2013 issue. I was hoping to see more issues to preview, or browse through so I might be able to purchase a single issue. The Zinio app does a better job of this - displaying more magazine issues to choose from.
I hope they improve WineEnthusiast.
Downloaded the application; paid for an issue; went to read it and I got a compatibility error saying I had to download a newer version. I did re-download but same issue. My version of IOS is 6.1.
Very disappointed and a useless app and purchase. I was thinking of purchasing a subscription to the magazine but based on this I will no longer consider that.
Paid for a subscription, no sign of missing issue. Clicked "restore missing issues" but still the latest (May) issue is missing from my library despite "Missing issues restored message".Option to buy it for $2.99 remains in store.
The support button on this page redirects to a generic contact page on the mag website with no reference to the ipad app. Pointless app if subscription doesn't work.
Please fix now and in future test before releasing.
1. I got the paid subscription to the magazine so why should I have to pay for the iPad version.
2. A big name like WE shouldn't be so slow to update their products. This makes me want to cancel my subscription, but I already paid for two years. Get with the program WE or I am calling for a refund.
I got the paid subscription for the magazine and when I downloaded WE to ipad, only April 2013 appears. It's September and they do offer "in app" purchase at $2.99 but only have June 2013!!!
Why can't I credit my print subscription toward the digital download?
My wife has a printed subscription and thought it would be great to store older magazines on the iPad. Why isn't there an update for print users?
