As if I don’t already have problems, I’m registered to be notified of a custody status for a reason. I feel like I gave this “system/database?” info I’d generally consider private and it failed me. I can see its intention here is to help, but it’s not doing that. It’s coercing victimized people into disclosing to them and rehashing details about their life that may potentially be traumatizing. Then, here’s what bothers me, I’ve gotten no help by said notifications of any kind from them... despite the person in question 1)not showing up for their court date, and 2) cutting off ankle monitor designed to protect me, in my case. Big fail here Vine. It sounds to me like soon enough they’ll be involved (maybe victims) of a typical data breach in which my info will likely be leaked. It just seems unstable of a network or something is off here. I’ve gotten much more help, as in notifications etc., via USPS from the courts.
It used to work but now it’s doing nothing but freezing up. You can’t do anything like you used too. All it says is loading and it gets stuck there, can’t look at record details.
Worst app ever! If I could give negative stars I would. Victims are already in a bad place and this only adds frustration and irritation. VINELink does nothing except waste your time and aggravate you to no end.
I open VINELink , click on Hawaii and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME...for months...VINELink just loads for hours and never logs into the Hawaii database. It's so frustrating. I hope that in this time, I haven't missed the perp being released or some other big thing like that.
Neither VINELink or the website work at all. VINELink just loads indefinitely and the website won’t even load the front page, it just says server not responding. Seems like both have been abandoned by the developer.
All it does is show an “unable to load page” error, offers a refresh link that takes you back to the very beginning…..
Downloaded it, opened it- froze up...deleted it, reinstalled it, put in the information- froze up again...deleted it and reinstalled for a third time-still frozen... what’s the point 🤷🏼♀️deleting permanently
Good apps are supposed to add more features not take them away. The decision to not be able to search by jail showing a list of offenders and their mugshots, was a bad decision! Your competitor’s apps that will include the feature yours once had, is going to knock the ratings of yours down a lot.
As a defense attorney, it was extremely helpful for me to be able to preview who is in the local jail so I could find if a client had been picked up by law enforcement. The update doesn't let me look at who is in jail. Bring back the most useful part of VINELink .
They re-did VINELink a few years ago, and it’s been bad ever since. Recently it just stopped working, and crashes during search.
This could be a great app to inform you of a predator being released, however it does no good when you find out DAYS later! Considering what VINELink is used for, one would think it would update the victims better.
App is no go at all. Kept saying person was still incarcerated at one jail and had been gone over a month and was never updated. Inmate was released from jail and I got the notice two-days later that they had been released. Waste of time thing app was actually secured & kept update. DO NOT DEPEND ON VINELink.
After picking my state (Hawaii) it then prompts me to “enable cookies and JavaScript” and “Disable private browsing mode”. I never set my browsing to private so I didn’t need to disable it. I enabled cookies and my JavaScript was already enabled. After doing so I start VINELink again and get the same results. I’ve deleted and redownloaded VINELink and got the same results. Fix this please. It was working just fine before.
I didn’t receive notifications at all when the person was released. This puts me in danger. I will not use VINELink again, it’s a false sense of security. I use the website for the actual facility the person is in instead, even though it’s not updated within the same day, it’s still better than not knowing at all. Expecting a notification & not receiving one until it’s too late is TERRIFYING. PLEASE FIX VINELink!
Hello I just downloaded VINELink and it’s not working correctly! I selected my state and tried to look up a court case but was directed to an error page. It said the request was “badly formed” whatever that means. Also annoying, I couldn’t back out of the error page. I had to force close VINELink and reopen it. I have tried it several times, even deleting and re-downloading VINELink didn’t fix it. I would love to use VINELink if the creators can fix the errors.
It used to tell who was locked up in county jail and now seems to be focused on cook county and you have to search each offender. Went from hero app to zero quckly.
For whatever reason when I open VINELink and pick the state it just sits there and doesn't go any further.
Cool feature is VINELink has the option to notify you if someone’s status changes.
Because you won’t get a lot of info from the prison system, you can use this !

Thank you for making VINELink! It's easy to register and update information. I'm not looking forward to the notifications but so glad VINELink is here to help me through it.
Used the old version from my iPhone, since the latest update I haven't been able to as it doesn't support safari.

If it's loading the entire state at the beginning; it needs a FIX.
Nothing should load until the state, county & name is entered.
Have IPhone 5, need a vine link that works. Please offer the old one.
VINELink is horrible. It is unreliable, I’ve only been able to access it about 3-4 times otherwise it’s loading at the “enter state” page. It never stops loading
The update is awful. Doesn't even work half the time and why do you have to search each offender ?! Where's the recent bookings. Hate the update and thinking of deleting VINELink now
Vine link Arkansas told me that my brothers parole was denied! This is inacurate! He was approved! This has happened to other people too. I broke his heart telling him the wrong decision!
