It asked me for my old passport number. I put every single digit and was told it was the wrong number. I looked again at my passport.
“Ah! Passport No. it must be this one for sure! “ - again I try, thought I made a mistake for the second time- I input the numbers and once again I get told is wrong.
I tried another passport older than the most recent. hmm still nothing. I tried at least 2 more times before giving up.
MiConsulmex makes things more difficult than it should.
•When one calls to schedule an appointment they never ask all these extra details.
•Hire a real app developer!
I seriously don’t get why they made an app if it’s useless it’s already hard to make an appointment over the phone and MiConsulmex is just useless

Useless. Just use the web browser instead of MiConsulmex (if that even works). Calling to make an appt is also impossible. Make it more user friendly!! Open up availability!!!

Tried many times to make an appointment for myself and nothing worked.
Was told to download to make an appointment all MiConsulmex does is give me a link to the phone number and link to make an appointment (which do not work)

MiConsulmex and website has no service and the number is useless. I do not know how they have a job if they can’t even do it right. It’s useless!
The application just routes you to the website. You don’t book appointments through MiConsulmex itself. What’s the advantage of having MiConsulmex ?

It’s difficult to contact the San Diego Mexican Consulate. The phone number they give drops calls and the website is not working. It’s frustrating for the people who need their service.
You can’t even make a simple appointment I have my password and email and it says it does not exist or that I have the wrong password, how is that so if I just made an account all of a sudden it don’t work fix ur app!!!
What’s the point of having an app to make appointments etc. when you still call. Come in and they are advertising it like it’s the best thing ever. Don’t download it. Garbage just the people who answer
Making an appointment is impossible, I’d wish they would upgrade that app and improve their system for their users. This is unfair and extremely frustrating.

I swear you guys need to fix your registering part of MiConsulmex I registered to make an appointment I confirmed my email and I still won’t let me log in to make an appointment. Also if you guys won’t fix your app might as well start picking up the phone to let us make an appointment!!!

You can’t do anything with MiConsulmex other then calling and when you call it says that you can schedule an appointment through MiConsulmex which is not true . DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT SAVE YOUR TIME
When you called the 1800 number they informed how great and helpful MiConsulmex is and that you can even book appointments,well I downloaded and it does not have that!

MiConsulmex does not make any sense! Can’t schedule appointments and have to call Mexitel where after 15 mins of directories and commercials very rude people answer and if you have questions or want alternatives to the appointments they just hang up!

MiConsulmex is useless you cannot set up an appointment thru it. In only give you the number and once ur on hold for a while it hangs up or once you get thru to anyone your call drops. What a waste of time their system need to improve just like their government!
I would not give one star, except there is no such option. MiConsulmex is as useless as customer service at the consulates and Mexitel. Perhaps I’ve been talking to robots because they show zero ability to resolve any issue or think outside the box. ... likewise for MiConsulmex’s usability.
I was on hold trying to set up an appointment to renew my Mexican passport and they said that you could do it in their app. All MiConsulmex does is sends you back to call the same number that hangs up on you. Thank you Mexican government you are the best. Im sure you paid lots of money to develop MiConsulmex.
Your useless mexitel number says you can make an appointment on MiConsulmex . Downloaded MiConsulmex and it just gives you the number. What’s the point in advertising something that doesn’t work. Can you also in touch with who ever runs the mexitel number? You call and get hung up constantly and can’t make an appointment.
Why create an app when it doesn’t let you schedule appointments. It would solve all of your issues; to add the online website appointment services never even work either. My mother was on the phone the lady was so rude and hung up on her mid conversation. Try calling back again (going through all of the unnecessary dial options) finally someone answers & greets me then HANGS UP! This happened to me TWICE.
Oh my God I don't know what's worse trying to call the consulate and they never pick up or using MiConsulmex that ask you to registered and supposedly send you an email to sign in but they never send anything. I tried and tried I check my junk inbox and nothing. Bravo Mexico I almost forgotten how you like to make things more difficult than they need to be. If I only didn't have to schedule an appointment for my mom I swear.
Estuve en espera por más de 15 minutos para intentar hacer una cita para el cónsul, pero la llamada se cortó en cuestión de segundos, y promocionan su aplicación como si fuera diseñada para poder programar una cita, pero solo es un informativo con los requisitos para poder aplicar a lo que uno necesite, pero no para asistencia al ciudadano. Es una pérdida de tiempo e inútil para hacer una cita al consulado más cercano. Perdí 30 hora y sin resultados a la llamada y la aplicación.
Why advertise your app if it’s not of any use?
I was on hold waiting to get an appointment scheduled on the Mexican consulate for 15 minutes, but the call was cut off in seconds when someone (I assume) pick up the line. The automated assistant kept advertising their app(this one) as a appointment scheduler, but it was only an informational forum on the requirements you need when applying for any of the services they claim they provide in my point view, and it doesn’t bring any sort of assistance such as scheduling appointments, or any other aide you may have. In other words, I wasted a total of half an hour without any results to the call and application.
Easy to download and friendly to use. It has all the information Mexicans need when living in the US. I renewed my passport and registered my new born. Kudos for SRE, good job!
