Zip Viewer - Unzip and Archive Reviews

I used ZipViewer for a while and found another zip app that works better. I’ve been trying to get the files I opened with ZipViewer saved to my cloud drive, but when I asked on their forum they said the only way to do it is through iTunes. I haven’t used iTunes in a long time, but I tried following their instructions. Apparently now you are no longer able to manage apps through iTunes. I have posted to their forum and sent several emails telling them this, but they won’t respond. It shows that my comment is “awaiting moderation” when I login to their forum, and they won’t respond to emails. Very frustrating. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend ZipViewer to anyone! Apparently if you use the free app and simply want to switch to the pro version this is the same issue. ZipViewer I currently use to unzip is the same as the pro version, just with ads. Now it seems I’m going to lose all of the files I opened with ZipViewer since they won’t help me. I guess they don’t have an answer so it’s easier for them to ignore. I haven’t ever left a bad review for an app, but this is really ridiculous. I hope my review will save someone else from this headache!

I always groan when one of my musical equipment products has their manuals, MIDI implementation, presets, etc on a Zip file instead of a PDF file because I prefer to read my manuals on my iPad and there was no way to open the Zips. I did some research and most articles required doing several steps which usually involved buying an app or something else. Then I discovered this free app. What works for me is I copy my Zips to my iCloud. Then, when I open up my free Zip Viewer, it already has a selection for clicking on my iCloud and it automatically shows and opens all of the Zip files that I copied. What a great tool. Easy and free.

In just trying out the product, it froze while loading, placed full page ads for video games up incessantly and froze again while I was trying to provide a rating.

If you want someone to find value in your app, perhaps you should focus on allowing them time to use it versus dumping ads all over the screen after every five folder selections or file viewings.

When it works, it seems to be worth free as a viewer but I doubt that it’s worth the price of the ‘pro’ version even if that does come with what should be price you pay to stop the ads.

I don't need to view or edit files inside a ZIP on mobile very often, but when I do it's typically a very-short-notice work thing. It's good to be able to get it done right away, rather than scrambling back to my computer from wherever I am.

ZipViewer handles that job perfectly, and if you think you need it, you probably do. A clean interface and—most importantly—no surprises.

When I download it from my drop box, even though the pages are in order they are random when extracted when I view them on ZipViewer. And there isn't a way to see the full file name if its too long for the screen,landscape view could fix that but it doesn't have it. Other then that it works great.

I'm giving it five stars after only a short time using it. I purchased an online study course that has downloadable zipped mp3 files. I've been struggling with downloading them to my phone until I found ZipViewer. Makes it a breeze. If I do nothing else with it I already officially love it. Thank you

It's free so it has video ads but ur was the only app that opened the zip file i desperately needed. Other apps just stood there blank. Interface is not super intuitive though.

ZipViewer worked only for a few times. It advertises and shows a lot of the positive reviews but not much negative for some reason oh to get you to buy the paid version. I cannot open the Zips like before and the description does not mention that it will work only for a little while. The same with the other apps. Apple should force them to add that they will work only for a while. With them being like this I don't want to take a chance and purchase their premium one in case something else pops up.

One of the best zip programs that I’ve used. Extremely efficient in opening this file and previewing the documents within the file in an easy orderly fashion. Definitely recommend this product for anyone having to use zip files.

I had to open a zip file. I downloaded ZipViewer and didn’t expect it to work or to work easily. It was plug and play. I clicked the file, opened with more, the zip viewer was there. I clicked the zip viewer and the documents opened in a second! Super happy!

As noted in other reviews, this really does work when viewing zip files on my IPad! This is a easy, practical and professional app and would highly recommend it to anyone having trouble viewing zip files from their IPad.

I've been trying to study Korean for over eight months. I have been looking for a way to download the MP3 files onto my iPad that coordinate with my language books. I finally found a way to access them using ZipViewer!!

I used ZipViewer to successfully open zipped files for a LinkedIn learning course for my iPad Pro. ZipViewer is pretty straightforward to use and allowed me to open the zip files saved on my Dropbox so I could see them.

Never had a bug. User interface is simple and intuitive. Could use some more features but the ones it has work perfectly.

I've been working with a web developer and we zip huge wireframe file folders back and forth. It opens quickly. Easy to use. I recommend! I like the viewing layout too.

Aye army this was the only app that worked for me. Mediafire couldn’t open in google drive, so this is what i used. A broke thot couldn’t afford to listen to it on apple music. Tracklist is out of order though but it’s a free app anyways. Mono was great, Namjoon is great, ZipViewer is great.

ZipViewer does open zip files but it also shows banner adds and full screen adds with sound and video about every couple minutes rendering it completely useless even on an iPad Pro. It also asked for an iTunes review in the first minute but a full screen add popped up at the same time making the whole app seem completely broken. Don’t waste your time.

I expected an ad to pop up and disrupt it from opening my file but it worked completely fine. A magnificent app!

U want to open zipped file in your iPhone get ZipViewer it’s not going to charge u to unzip files and u can unzip file from ur I cloud like drop box and others

Worked perfectly and was even able to prompt me for a password on my protected zip file.
