You exit out of SPCamera , It stops recording. I was looking for an app which can record while you are browsing other apps on your phone or maybe lock the phone and it would still record and nobody would know. But SPCamera is not like that. It works while you are on SPCamera and it just makes the screen blank so that nobody would know that you actually recording and if you exit accidentally or hit the lock button accidentally. Video recording will stop.

First off I Love with SPCamera offers but just falls short for the money. 2 stars until some key issues fixed.

1) Open it’s photo library and it crashes!!! Haven’t seen that since my iPhone 4. It seems to cache thumbnails upon opening and crashes. Sometimes crashes 2-3 times before it loads. Ugh.

2) No simple swipe/swipe right in library to delete single items. So you don’t swipe to right then have to hit trash button. Not smooth.

3) BIGGEST UX ISSUE: select back camera and go dark... somehow I hit the mode and it changes. Only find out afterwards it didn’t capture proper camera (front vs back). While it has a lock it’s just too easy to screw up. Happens 50% of the time and I curse SPCamera!

User issue or app issue? When I enter easy mode and all my buttons disappear except the preview screen I can’t ever get the buttons to reappear. It’s beyond frustrating. I really like the many options SPCamera offers, but this issue is enough to make me not want to use SPCamera at all. Also when it’s giving you tips it would be easier while learning the actions if a note popped up letting you know you did select option properly. Trying to figure things out and not knowing if I properly did something it suggested leaves the learning ability unknown...

I wasn’t able to find your contact information (maybe I’ve overlooked it) and this is the only way I can get a hold of you. I’m having a transaction issue with your app, I’m not sure if it’s an issue on your part or on the AppStore. Not sure how these things work, but I’ve already check with my bank and it’s not them. I need this to be fixed because I cannot download any other apps if this doesn’t get resolved. PLEASE HELP!

Can you fix the volume button record option?

Sometimes I press the right one and SPCamera either doesn’t record or doesn’t stop recording. I have to test multiple times before hand to see if it works. Sometimes I have to restart my phone and SPCamera to fix it but it takes a lot of time.

How do you get back to the settings screen from the web browser mode?? I selected web browser as my hidden background, and now I can’t figure out how to get back to the settings to select a different background.

One things i would very much like to see added or at least where it is in settings is to have an option to have a interval for the buttons so when you are randomly touching the screen for whatever reason( by accident) it dosent stop the video or turns on window mode.

SPCamera is great but I can’t upload videos to Dropbox. I constantly get an error message saying “can’t upload file. There was a problem uploading .mov file”
Please fix this.
SPCamera is great accept for that one thing.
Another suggestion would be to block pop ups and notifications. I’ve gotten everything from 20% battery notification pop ups which don’t require a signal but still popup to notifications that do require a signal.
Please develop a fix for this. The idea is stealth and having a huge pop up jump onto your completely blacked out screen is not very stealth.

Quite an amazing full featured app, sometimes too complicated. I’d like to see a few features/fixes:

1. The ability to dumb it down even more and turn off any button. So if it auto starts in timer/dark, that’s the only feature I can toggle on/off with a hold-press.

2. With IOS 12 I frequently get prompted “attention please give SPCamera permission...” when it has it and works fine.

3. Not feeling haptic feedback any more for tap photos, only video. I’d also like the haptic feedback in timer mode, but not necessarily for every shutter if possible. Maybe offer both or every number of seconds to conserve battery and know it’s working.

I had problem in easy mode
It was locked I couldn’t get out and go back to setting

After i tab and hold around display

Tried using it without doing much homework and completely lost the event I bought SPCamera for. Took multiple pictures instead of the video I needed. Worked great but not as intuitive as other apps. Need to practice before using it for a once in a lifetime event!

Ok I can’t find my videos and I have no way of accessing the controls. My screen is always black accept when it shows the tone and stating what type of recording it’s doing. Please help I need to find the gallery and other app features that aren’t accessible.

Finally found a great app it really works I’m very satisfied with it and trust me I’m extremely picky person are used to be able to do the same thing on my iPhone without any applications at all but since the upgrade to iOS 11 they illuminated that possibility so I had to purchase SPCamera little on the expensive side but worth it...

SPCamera is great for covert pic taking. Has a small leaning curve but worth it. Has vid or photo options. I like how pics/vids goes to its own gallery, NOT added to your camera roll.

One improvement I'd like to see it the ability to delete pic or vid while viewing gallery (rather than going thru separate delete screen).

Hope created sticks around. Apple seems tight on these fun apps.

So basically SPCamera is really useful but I just wanted to try and suggest a feature, and that feature is Live Photo, cause I have shaky hands so when I take a photo it doesn’t always look too good, but when the standard camera I can go through and select the frame that works best. And on top of this I just like watching the video for the photo.

SPCamera is the perfect discrete camera app. Easy to use, versatile, nothing to give it away and dependable. No bugs or crashes. This is the only hidden camera app you'll ever need.
But equally satisfactory has been the customer service. I had questions about SPCamera and Rath got back to me and answered all my questions. And when I asked about adding a digital clock background a few months later he made it part of the latest update. Would love if the color of the digital clock was changeable but even so it's still great. SPCamera receives my highest possible recommendation.

Thank you for all the time and hard work that’s put into SPCamera. My only wish is for an option to disable the time being recorded along with the flashing red light next to it when recording video. Possibly instead of seconds and a red indicator maybe what looks to be a “loading indicator “similar to when you load a webpage in safari and it shows the amount of the page it’s loaded. Anyway y’all rock thanks again

SPCamera is everything I’ve been looking for! I make videos in theme park rides that are often dark enough that the screen brightness bothers others around me. Therefore, SPCamera is really useful to capture my videos with the screen off, and SPCamera allows all available video capture modes on my phone! Other apps like this are either no longer being updated or do not even work anymore. This is fantastic!!! Great work!

I think the software is great but it is a little to pricey. I did buy it though and I honestly don’t regret it. It has password and face/fingerprint protection. The UI to delete photos is a little bit of a learning curve but it works. The secondary screens or secret screens (the thing that makes you look like you’re just using your phone) are really good. The Wikipedia one is REALLY good because you can click on the links and it will redirect you there without stopping the recording. So over all five stars!

SPCamera worked beautifully for days, doing everything as promised. After I chose to use Touch ID I cannot unlock SPCamera anymore. I click on unlock and it does not ask me for a password or touch id. SPCamera won’t unlock for anything. What do I do now?
