Trenches II Reviews

This company is SCAMMING people forcing them to buy perk points. I have read other people are having the same issue. Perk point disappear after you start the next skirmish making it impossible to get a tank or anything requiring more than something requiring one perk point unless you pay for perk points. They also have 3 variations of this game up in TrenchesII Store. I will be calling Apple about this scam and also pointing out they have the same app up 3 times.

Wish I could give it -100 stars it's so frustrating how it's designed with the redeem button in the top right hand corner that you accidentally touch it whenever you scroll. I cannot express how infuriated I am at such a cheap and dim witted attempt to get people to accidentally use perks and now that I look back -100 stars is being generous. To the makers of this game, you should stand on the streets and beg because that's at least more dignified than the cheap crap you pull. You should be ashamed and frankly embarrassed that you have no integrity and let such a small thing ruin a perfectly good game. This disgusts me without a doubt but I hope you can sleep at night knowing you sold your honor to 12 year olds as they're the only ones dumb enough to actually fall for such a stupid scam. I call shenanigans and say this game is a scam

As stated in the title of this review, this game is horribly balanced and genuinely has little to no creativity when it comes to how the AI behaves or reacts.

All there is when playing each “mission” is a constant bombardment of air strikes and artillery shelling one after another in a VERY short time frame. The fun part of that is that there is virtually nothing you can do to prevent or maintain your stacking of troops.

Very disappointing and not very thought out. Shame.

At first the game was great, then after the first 2 games of the campaign 2 things happened
1. The ai is crazy op and has tons of perks
2. I keep clicking on the redeem button because it is “coincidentally” placed where you move from one side of the other. At first I thought that was a design flaw, but after losing 5 perk points to that thing and seeing the reviews, I realize that it’s on purpose to make you lose perk points so you are convinced to buy some. They don’t even ask you if you want to, you accidentally press on it and you lose one. Do yourself a favor and leave this game alone.

Limit to only 3 airstrikes and 3 tanks per match, if you and the AI have the same amount of spawns, money and troops then you’re evenly matched. So how do you win a game that’s fair? Wait for it…. Strategy. The lack of effort put into this is crazy. I would look into a career change cause if u can’t simply make a mobile game then y'all are going to struggle with actual games. I could’ve swore this used to cost money and thank god it doesn’t anymore because to think someone puts no effort into something yet expect to live off it 😂😂

Unfortunately one of the worst games I've ever had the misfortune of playing. Concept is fun and the nostalgia is great, but realistically the game is horribly balanced. During the campaign the AI has an infinite amount of money and no cooldowns on their abilities, thus they lack any sort of strategy except constantly bombarding you. While it is still possible and not very hard to win, the fact that you can’t have any more than a few units on screen without the AI calling in 5 ordinance strikes really removes and possibility of fun. Missions end up taking far longer than they ever should because you have to solely gamble on whether or not you are going to get by multiple airstrikes. Would be very fun if the computer had some sort of limit on the amount of strikes they could call in, and thus giving the player something to actually play around, but unfortunately that is not the case.

Use medics a a healing wall, 4-5 medics will keep all units alive versus everything but the rail gun and strafing run. When the AI gives up they will make an unknown number of spies and send them at you in one column killing every unit, even if you put 75+ medics right in the columns way. Why does the line of spies kill all the things? Because your units won't spot them. How to beat them once this happens? Just spam infantry the AI has basically given up at that point and you won't get any real resistance.

The game is a joke now.

Why would you make a game that had so much potential into a...money grabber? When I first initially bought this game it was the one of the best time wasters, but after the recent update and imbalances on the enemy team, my perception of this company has gone from a trustful creator - greedy scammers. For anyone reading this, DON'T BUY! If you want to waste your money get one the newer freemiums you can find scattered across TrenchesII Store.

I didn’t want to write this review. I adore this game, it’s fun and I have good memories. It is unplayable past the 2nd mission of the campaign. I am unable to move with the constant flood of tanks, and artillery strikes. So far I have experienced 4 tanks every 5 minutes (I timed it) and an artillery every 40-ish seconds, varying between mustard gas, napalm, or shells. All of which my bunkers offer no protection against, my medics can’t outheal. Not to mention the constant flood of ground troops, flamethrowers with better range and health, infantry that moves far faster, and a constant influx of spies that never hit land mines. I love this game, I want to keep playing it, but I get no enjoyment from continuously sending troops into a meat grinder and making no progress.

The game is unplayable, I don't know why exactly, but the screen no longer properly aligns when you enter a battle, I can only see the very top of the screen when I rotate my device around, the menu buttons on one side of the screen refuse to be pressed and only can be if you rotate your device.

Ou cannot play the game, and that has to be the saddest thing I have to say about this game, I have enjoyed this wonderful app for years on end and I could never be more disappointed to update it only to find myself incapable of doing anything in it. Please fix this as soon as possible, so we can get back to playing Trenches II.

Perk points can be redeemed by hitting a button at the top of the screen. Button is conveniently located where fingers are used to move the screen side to side. Obviously well thought out so you have to buy more points that you accidentally waste moving the screen. Not happy about that as I've accidentally hit that button a lot. Wouldn't mind if it asked permission before cashing them in. I'm done with this game.

My men met tank in 1915 summer......nothing can’t stop tank in my second battle. I don’t even earn the enough perks to upgrade my men. U know how guilty I am to send my men to face those armored shiiit with rifles? I guess it is a way to push me to buy the perks in dollars. Even though the game itself is good, but y’all need to considerate to adjust the setting.

This game is ok I just don’t enjoy how the enemy in campaign has infinite money. And all levels are easy to beat when you have four spies at the enemy base they can even leave their base without dieing update this game and it will be great it will be worth the time and effort to upgrade the game to fix negative reviews and you will have higher profits

I've liked this game since I got it, i finally got a good 1V1 game with good graphic and decent game mechanics. The only problem is that the multiplayer take forever if never, wish they made a new one(Trenches 3) with even better graphics and better mechanics. I would recommend you to get this if you can.

This game is very fun and I have a lot of memories playing both the first and this one. I fell as though it should get another sequel, and since the game doesn't seem to want to fix the bugs in this one it should be done with a sequel. How ever the WW1 theme seems to have been played out entirely with this game nothing new you can really add, how ever if you were to some how incorporate the game mechanics into a WW2 game I think it would be at the least mildly successful considering not too many people played this those who did were mostly turned off from it by the broken AI and considering it's an App Store game you have to pay for. The WW2 game could also have its own sequel be it dividing the years of the war or a western front eastern front or Pacific front. Like I said it's a great game and should get a sequel but it has some bugs and the AI seems to have infinite money not cool downs for spawns and ridiculous spawning locations do recommend but be warned.

I enjoy this game it’s a fun ww1 type game. I highly recommend playing it. A problem with this game is you don’t have all the ww1 countries and maps, for instance they could add in the Italians, the ottoman,Austrians,and The Australians. Some maps that could add in could be the Italian alps or Gallipoli. Thank you for reading this and I hope that they could possibly add these in.

Update 10/20:
After about a year or so, it looks like they’ve finally made some patches. It is definitely compatible with the new iOS now. Still has some minor issues like changing your view left to right on the screen, but overall is playable now.

The game is polished and quite good. The option to buy perk points is there, but it honestly doesn’t take much at all to get more. You just need to win missions. Anyone complaining about difficulty is either playing on super hard, an old build, or just bad. Sniper, medic, and rifleman are the best.

Too many people crying about things. This is a classic game that’s been around for a long time. A lot of our original games have been taken down and this one managed to stay alive. This game is challenging but it’s worth it. Once you figure out everything it is fun. Thank you developers for keeping this game around and not being cop outs like other game developers.

Really fun game. I get bored with app games easily and this one has captured my attention for a good length of time. My only feedback for the developers is to please more the perk points button from the top right. I accidentally hit it all the time and spend my points when I don’t mean to. I’m trying to scroll the map and hit it by accident. If moving it isn’t possible, add a pop up of “are you sure you want to use your points?” Minor design gripe from someone with fat fingers.
