ElaSalaty: Muslim Prayer Times Reviews

Developers stopped updating ElaSalaty . I can only assume it has to do with no recurring profit. ElaSalaty doesn’t work anymore. Crashes on start. Inaccurate data, time zone and updating current location server comes back with an error. Is it the money? Or ethics?

Don’t waste your money. It’s no longer a relevant or reliable app.

Updated: after looking up other apps by the same developer, most of them are flat out outdated you can’t download, where others 5-8 years since last update.

Went from i4islam to i4scam.

I have been using ElaSalaty for a while now and it was doing well after a trip to the US the prayer times were off by hours and could not fix it. Also after deleting ElaSalaty I was not successfulby reinstalling ElaSalaty . Also linking the times to the Apple Watch gave Errors. Example of this when I was checking the time left for Maghrib prayer is it gave me five hours yet it was only 19 minutes.

I used application for so many years ; but I feel it require to keep up-to-date with latest update and technology. For example till the time I have this post the application and it watch face complications does not work on Apple Watch 6 with latest watchOS 7.0.2 update.
But from app on mobile is great 👍 but also need to update its widgets to support latest iOS update and features.

It’s a really good app overall but has 2 issues for me:
1- In the widget Isha prayer never shows due to a space/layout issue, you have to open ElaSalaty to see the prayer time for Isha.
2- You have to open ElaSalaty every few days or else the notifications expire and no new notifications including prayer times show up.

the application not working well in iPhone x user interface not fit all the screen and not detecting the Location . plz update it or asking for a refund is better option

ElaSalaty is by far my most favorite and I have been using it for about 2 years. It’s beautifully designed and offers lots of great features. The widget is one of my favorite things about it.
This week I switched my phone and installed ElaSalaty and allowed it to detect my location. It detected it accurately but gave me prayer times that were way off by up to an entire hour! I tried to manually adjust prayer times but I have only up to 30 mins more or 30 less. I tried turning on and off daylight savings and tried all the calculation methods and even modified the time zone, unfortunately nothing gave me the correct times.

I wanted to write to the developer but did not find contact info, so I’m writing a review and I hope it’s seen.

If only there's the ability to customize Athan sound.

Update: When working on the phone, notifications run before/after the correct time. (Don't forget my first suggestion).

Love ElaSalaty I hope you can let the azan be full and I don't have to open ElaSalaty to listen to the full azan but thank I really loved ElaSalaty it so worth paying for
Please let it play full azan with out opening ElaSalaty

I used to have Ela salary showing as a complication on the apple watch now it disappeared from the options to choose on the watch face
Please fix this so I can see the prayer time just by looking at the watch so I don't have to open ElaSalaty

ElaSalaty for me is very good and I use it from years.
My points are, the calculation of times change automatically in the last 2 years during Ramadan and give me different times than the actual in Qatar (I tried to repaired it but I fail), and if you can support Apple Watch up to date (not only to series 2) so we can find the prayer times in all the faces of Apple Watch.

It’s wonderful app i love with it but since I downloaded ios 10 the azan notification doesn’t work right it’s short and it say only (alah akbar alah ) what shall i do or it will be a update for it

This is the best app i use but it seems have some technical issues with iOS 15 i hope there is an update to solve that problem

The color of the numbers in the notification shade is very difficult and cannot be seen. I hope it is in white or as appropriate to the background color of the device.

I had this great app since day one. Unfortunately, ElaSalaty start crashing recently. It has a location issue. I tried to uninstall it several times. The problem still there.

Adding cities is not very accurate, the whole point of a prayer times program(especially a paid one) is the convenience of being able to change your location and get the correct times immediately, not the case here, after I traveled it’s reading my device time wrong and the times are so far off the Islamic center close to us

Update: Back to 5 stars. The latest update brought back the advanced widget. I still don't understand why it was removed in the first place and why it took so long to bring it back!

Update: 3+ weeks later and still no response!

Before the last update, there was a widget that combined the prayer times for all five prayers (like what is now called practical widget) and the time left for the next prayer (advanced widget). Can you bring back this widget?
