If your the type of person that loves pay to win games and developers that go out of their way to make the game miserable for people on a budget then this is the game for you. The game itself is fun and the people that play it are nice most of the time but that’s where the complements end. I’ve been playing for over a year and the amount of times GoodGame has taken things away from the players citing it was a bug, or raising the price on the micro transactions but not giving the players more in each pack is just a few examples of how these “developers” treat their player base. This game could be so awesome but it’s painfully obvious that the people that make this game don’t play it. If you read this far and your still on the fence about downloading do yourself a favor and play a different game.

Beware downloading and installing this game. They claim FTP but have made so many changes to this game to make it budget-friendly. They have also recently decreased the amount of content you can get for free to either force you to buy or force you to quit. There is no more in between and playing events for free in order to be more selective on spending. THIS GAME IS NOT FTP FRIENDLY, so please do not expect it to be anything other than a place to waste time and money. Everything takes a long time to do. Goals are not accomplished easily. That is not a complaint, because I knew this going in as a returning player. What I did not expect was for GG to limit my FTP options so much that it is virtually impossible to play any portion of this game without spending $15-40, at minimum, for every event (occurs every 2-3 days) plus investing $50-$100 per international event (occurring every 5 days or so). Basically, if you want a reasonably priced way to spend your time, THIS IS NOT THE GAME FOR YOU. You need to be a millionaire or have a lot of excess money to play at a competitive level.

The developers have created small differences in its in game equipment that make it easy to mistakenly place very similar game equipment together that when not matched properly you don’t enjoy the bonus which the purchased equipment are intended to provide. The only way to undo the “mistake” is to spend rubies which cost real money.

This small practice is DESIGNED to confuse the players and extract a little more money from you. It’s a choice to play the game and it’s a choice to spend money on this game. Given the deceptive design in a game which is understandably designed to make me spend money I find this to be a greedy over reach. There are plenty of features that induce the desire to purchase in game bonuses to improve your position and strength. But to design the game to confuse players to extract more money is over the top. I spend money in this game to be a good player but spending money when I’ve been tricked causes me to not recommend this game.
