Meteor Shower Calendar - Ad Version Reviews

Use to work fine. Now it crashes when selecting a meteor shower to get additional info.

Please fix crash. It’s a good great resource otherwise.

It’s a pretty basic app with a calendar feature that alerts you on upcoming celestial events. Cool. They even have an upgrade feature for meteor showers ($2.99) that I would actually buy but when you click “restore” to upgrade nothing happens. I can’t find the upgrade in MeteorShowerCalendar store either. Oh well...

Had the ad app and it stopped working so I downloaded the ad free ver and guess what, it doesn’t work. It shows two showers and when I tap the shower calendar, it crashes. I would like my money back!!

MeteorShowerCalendar no longer works in 2022!!! It’s got the Y2K22 virus?

In my books, any app that allows spam advertising gets zero points. I'll put up with advertising, but trick ad banners that lead to unwanted sites are about as low as you can get. The program itself, while it does contain what appears to be accurate information, basically steals the fairly static data from Wikipedia. Even the links are simply to Google searches on a topic. For instance, tap the telescope looking icon and it sends you to a Google search on the word: "constellation." That's pretty cheesy. This looks more like a so called Windows 8.x store "app." It doesn't even belong in the Apple app store. Bottom line: down-voted to less than zero.

All of a sudden I cannot find any 'settings' icon to change ANYthing- like notifications. All I get is the list. I have deleted and reinstalled and it is not better. Any suggestions?

It's strait-forward, easy to use, and doesn't bog you down with an overload of info. It gives you just what u need and if u want more it gives a quick and easy way to search for it. Great app for the casual star gazer to the most devoted.

Lists all the meteor showers, when they start and end, and when they peak!
Now I just have to have a clear night so I can see some activity!

Looks pretty good from the pictures, but I wasn't able to test it because it won't run on my 3GS, I'm on iOS 5. Please support that version, I'll definitely buy the full app. Thanks!

MeteorShowerCalendar has great weather, and atmospheric information. You can see information of the meteor showers.

All it needs is notifications. Other than that it does just what I was looking for.

This Is a nice application for seeing when meteor showers will occur. It would be perfect if it also showed when the moonrise moon set would occur. Great start!

MeteorShowerCalendar is awesome! It shows every upcoming meteor shower and provides details about all. It really has a lot to offer. really, really cool.

I've been an amateur astronomer for over 40 years, but I have never heard of the "Antihelion" Meteor Shower that MeteorShowerCalendar shows as lasting for 10 months of the year. No meteor shower lasts that long. But, that is what dominates the notices from MeteorShowerCalendar on a daily basis.

There is no way to deselect any of the meteor showers, either.

And , the "App Support" link only leads back to MeteorShowerCalendar Store, so MeteorShowerCalendar appears to be unsupported, as well.

Pity, it seemed like a good idea.

It's an ok app but it doesn't show the approximate time the meteor is supposed to show up or what start, peak, or end means...in my opinion think before you get MeteorShowerCalendar

Geminid 2020 meteor shower is shown as peaking on 12/16/2020. Astronomy websites show it as 12/13/2020.

There is no info button as pictured in the AppStore and no option in MeteorShowerCalendar for removing annoying pop up.

Simple calendar of meteor showers and the moon phases. It's simple, it works, and best of all it's free.

I switch phones from a Samsung s6 to an Apple x. The android app works. When you hit the telescope it lets you locate the meteor shower in the sky. The Apple apps takes you to a stupid google search. Stupid. I loved MeteorShowerCalendar until I switched to the Apple phone.
