I downloaded this to track my son’s due date. You can have multiple events, but there’s no home page for all your events. If I have 5, or say 15 events, I don’t want to have to swipe through them all. I want them all right there on the first page when I open CountdownStar . I’ll be happy to swipe after that.

Also, CountdownStar won’t let you delete an old count down if you don’t have any other events. It wants you to edit the existing one. Ok no big. But why make me do this? Let me delete the old and create the new.

Also, I’d like to see an option where I can upload my own picture for an event. That would make it worth it to swipe through every event I have in order to get to a specific one. At least then I can take joy in swiping through them.

So I have been using CountdownStar for less than a week and I have found at least 2 bugs in CountdownStar that are starting to bug me. First one, I have been trying to use my own photo as a wallpaper. Whenever I go on CountdownStar after not using it for a while, the photo I was using as a wallpaper is gone and replaced by a boring grey background. Second bug, I have a couple things that I want to count-up or countdown on that are based on other time zones. I keep trying to change the time zone, but it won’t let me change the time zone. If it weren’t for these bugs CountdownStar would get a 5/5, but these are too big of bugs for me to dismiss. Also, CountdownStar is by far one of the best designed app, minus the bugs, for countdowns/count-ups.

I’ve been using CountdownStar for well over a year now. It has been great for my long-distance relationship by allowing me to countdown down the days until I see my partner. But, recently CountdownStar has stopped allowing me to access my camera or camera roll, so I cannot pick my own backgrounds for whatever event I am counting down to. It’s very annoying because CountdownStar has otherwise been totally fine to use.

One critique I have as well is that it would be nice if CountdownStar would notify on my home screen how many days/hours I have left until an event is complete. But, it’s not that big of a deal to pull up CountdownStar to view it.

Great app! The free app was probably better because I didn’t expect much from it. However, diving in for a buck thinking it would be the key to get the wallpaper fully functional (as in an in-app purchase for more features); yet, still no wallpaper function and there is really nothing more than what the free version of CountdownStar gave... Disappointing.

Other than that, great app with lots of potential!

Moreover, there were complaints about the wallpaper app not working based on a review 1-2 years ago also... so don’t expect much from CountdownStar or else you’ll feel disappointed. I tried looking through my iPhone’s settings trying to get the wallpaper function to work... namely: getting CountdownStar to access your camera and photos. I went through all the usual places and more to tweak settings to get CountdownStar to add custom wallpaper... no success. The developer should get this fixed. If it was fixed and fixed right, CountdownStar would be worth than its current value (free-$1) and perhaps the developer could make a bit more off this creation... After all, 5 countdown apps in... this one is the best that I have found at this value!

Hoping the next update resolves the on-going wallpaper issue.

I really love the fact that you can customize the countdown so much. The ability to use any picture and move the countdown is awesome. CountdownStar is missing a couple key things though. First when selecting the date it would be helpful to have a calendar pop up to make it easier. Most importantly though the feature I wish CountdownStar had was an option to select multiple dates or have it repeat on certain days. I use CountdownStar to keep track of days till holidays/ birthdays which only come once a year but I’d also like to be able to keep track of when my next pay day is. If CountdownStar had those features it would be the best countdown app no contest!

Have had CountdownStar for a few years and love it. It’s fun to see my anticipated events getting closer.
One of the things I always liked was being able to personalize a countdown event with my own pictures and share it with those people involved.
Over the last few months the option for taking or uploading my own picture does nothing.
Also, other countdown apps offer the options of font and color to further personalize an event which is nice.
PLEASE fix the photo issues! I don’t want to change to a different app, but will have to if I can’t personalize events anymore.

CountdownStar is pretty cool , can’t wait to go on vacation in 19 days 3 hrs 28 minuets and 8 seconds. wish you had an option to change the apps icon to whatever , instead of looking at your phone and seeing a picture of a star with a clock in a blue background that says Countdown , the user could change it to a recent selfie or a picture of the ocean 🌊 to indicate vacation or holiday
and click on the myVacationcountdown app
(you should be able to change the name too). i know it is a challenge but i think that it would make your rates and reviews higher and then more people will download CountdownStar . But that’s my opinion i don’t think you can actually do that but it’s ok . over all CountdownStar is pretty great.

Overall, I really enjoy CountdownStar. But could you please add an annual/not annual button? This might sound crazy, but I put all my Beanie Boo’s birthdays in CountdownStar because I am a Beanie Boo addict! If I want my Beanie Boo’s birthday to be exactly next year, I have to add another event for the next year. It becomes really annoying because I have close to 60 Beanie Boo’s and I don’t want to create another whole event for just that one. You can add an annual button and if you click it, you and say every day, week, month, and year. If it is not annual you simply just press the not annual button. That would be very handy to me! I really don’t want to set up 60 events for every year because that takes up time, and time is important. Please add this handy addition because I think it would benefit me and all who downloaded Countdown Star. Sorry if my review didn’t make much sense and if you thought my addition was redundant. Personally, for a ten year old, I can come up with great ideas and solutions. I am very mature and intelligent, not to brag, but it’s true. I downloaded CountdownStar today to replace one that no longer works with the new IOS. I thought it was going to be a good replacement, but after downloading and adding about 12 events with personalized wallpaper (from photos on my iPad) I went in later in the day and all the photos that I chose to add as wall paper on my events were gone! They were not in the new events nor were they in the wall paper choice area of CountdownStar ! Not a good start, what the heck is going on?
**edited to add - fast response from the developer. Fixed the problem with an update to CountdownStar . The library works fine now. My added wallpaper is showing up and staying in the library. Thanks for the assistance!

I've been using this for a few months now and it is quite easy to use on my iPhone with many customizable options. I also enjoy that I can see some of my countdowns on my Apple watch! BUT I WOULD RATE THIS 5/5 If you allowed complications with the Apple watch😰I use CountdownStar for counting down the days to Disney trips, birthdays, holidays etc. It was a real bummer when I wanted the make a buzz lightyear watch face and put my countdown app for my upcoming Disney trip as a complication, only to discover it doesn't have one😡 So now, I'm going to install a whole new app just so I can create and have that. PLEASE DEVELOPERS, ADD THIS LITTLE FEATURE, It makes your app in the watch that much more convenient and useful🙏🏼

It’s a great app that does exactly what you’d want it to! I like the design and the available functions. My only wish would be to actively share events with others who have CountdownStar as well. For example, my partner and I are currently long distance and we both use CountdownStar separately to count down the days until we next see each other. It would be cool if one of us could make an event to share and use on each of our apps as opposed to the current share feature which simply just sends a screenshot of the event to someone via email or text. Otherwise, I love CountdownStar and will continue to use it. I appreciate the ability to add this to my widget bar.

I find that a lot of the buttons are really annoying and confusing. They are also in really weird spots and the icon doesn't describe it well. I would also like if they had more pictures for the background or at least let you add your own photos. Having little notes or something would also help. Over all it's just a countdown calendar app. That's basically it. I do like that you can control how it counts down, (months, hours, seconds, etc.) and other things but there are times where I honestly feel like just deleting CountdownStar .

The days leading up to our trips always seem to go by slowly until the last month or two. Then it goes by too quickly while we try to gather items we will need and tie up loose ends like pet care and shopping. This countdown takes away that last minute panic. It’s also a fun way to keep everyone excited about the trip. I send my friends and family screen shots to remind them how many days we have left until we are on a beach somewhere or celebrating together.

I downloaded CountdownStar a few days ago, and I’ve already made numerous countdowns. They all look great, and I love that you can view how many days, months, years, where seconds, etc. since you were born or until an event. The only thing I don’t like is that when I try to hit the share button, it doesn’t work. If the developer could please fix that then I would give it a five star rating! If you don’t care about if you can share with your friends, then this is an amazing app for you!

It's not a bug. It's just horribly designed. I use CountdownStar to countdown for upcoming video-game related things, and opening CountdownStar and seeing how much time is left gets me hyped. It would get me even more hyped with a wallpaper... that is if the option wasn't broken. I have to crop the picture into a square shape, and when I apply it the image is all zoomed in or something. I know, this review I'm writing sounds unprofessional. But I would appreciate it if this wallpaper issue was fixed. Other than that, everything is actually really useful. It's fun seeing what "2 weeks 1 day 11 hours 3 minutes 50 seconds" equates to in just seconds.

Overall, if you don't care for wallpaper, then it's a perfect app to use.

okay this update is great, weeks are finally included, there's more space for the long titles of the events... i love it! but honestly what the hell were you guys thinking with the wallpaper library...? when uploading a new photo for an event wallpaper, we're forced to crop it into a square and so the picture will be all zoomed and messy... i know i know, the pictures automatically got cropped into 9:16 aspect ratio to fit the phone screen in the previous version but that was good. this is not. just.. why? that's my only question. a great 5/5 update lowered to 3/5.

I use this to track time until trips or other important dates (like my anniversary which I missed last year😬 - now it’s in CountdownStar 👍).
I haven’t had any wallpaper issues like other users, it’s been a solid and very helpful app for me. The interface is simple and and easy to use. I look at CountdownStar every morning while I’m having my coffee so I can plan for what’s coming up in my life! It also counts from dates in the past so you can see how long you’ve been successful at something...diet, milestone dates, etc. I recommend CountdownStar highly. Have fun counting!!

I have CountdownStar for Disneyland, but will keep it. Why? I can connect it to other things if I had them like Applewatch. Does not add advertisements to the photo of the count down. Can take screen shots through txt to share. Doesn’t ask for 99 cents for everything. Can switch over showing months minutes ect. Just on the screen with the scrolling bar. Choose where to position the time showing on image added. Have it up down or centered. Shows images beautifully too. No wander it rates high, it can work with any event. Thank You so much making something actually worth while!

You can share your Countdowns with others by a simple click on the top menu: iMessages, email, Facebook, Twitter, Messenger, et al.
With a simple slider you can to set the Countdown to years, months, weeks, days, hours and second.
The free version has really unobtrusive ads at the bottom, unlike other free apps with annoying and incessant advertisements.
For 99¢ you can get rid of the ads, which I did, not because the ads were bothersome, but rather because I wanted to make a contribution to the developers for such a fine app.

Issue with upgrading: It erased my Countdowns so I had to re-enter them in the upgraded app. Also my review of the original app did not transfer.

So I was constantly struggling to find an effective and efficient way to keep track of my busy recovery schedule especially since it was stuff with tons of appointments and just family activities... The fact that I am recovering from a Traumatic Brain Injury my memory has been a bit weaker than before. I lost big portions of memory due to the fact that pieces of my brain were damaged resulting in these pieces getting removed! In this case I was looking for a great way to Lee track of my schedule! Thank God that CountdownStar was free and so good! Can’t complain because I tried multiple others which always lacked an aspect this one presents! Let’s just say CountdownStar is “in it to win it”! Give it a shot! 👌😁

Getting CountdownStar was a big sigh of relief. I have so many things in my life that I want to know how long till there happening. When I first got CountdownStar I was a total noob at all phone stuff cause I just got a phone and it took about 2 minutes to get the hang of it. After that I could fully care at and customize my countdowns. Also it is great how you don’t only have to use the standard backgrounds you can downloaded you own and that you can get how many seconds and minutes.
