2017 REVIEW UPDATE:
All add-ons in the this app App are NOW FREE! 116 modules include amps, distortions, modulation, compressors, synths, pitch shifters and more. The MS-100BT and StompShare are discontinued and no longer supported or updated.
If StompShare has problems, delete it and re-install. That may fix the problem, even if temporarily. It occasionally freezes with my 4th gen iPad, but has worked fine with an iPod Touch 6 (YMMV). NOTE that if you delete and re-install, it will force you to re-install all add-ons to your MS-100BT. So you may need to take notes about what you have installed.
I suggest making sure bluetooth pairing is finished & active before launching StompShare .
If you don't own a Multi-Stomp product, StompShare provides a great way to hear decent recordings of examples of the effects as well as try out the module for 15 min.
Navigating the "shelf" is clunky. Labels can be hard to read. Add-ons must be transfered one at a time. There is no list view or search function. There is a categories view.
The MS-100BT can't hold ALL the add-ons, but it can hold MOST of them. I was able to load 90 out of the 116. I might be able to load more, but I got everything that I wanted loaded.
Zoom did not include any info about how much processing each add-on requires, or how much memory it takes up in the pedal. That would have been helpful.
In addition to add-ons, StompShare will update the pedal's firmware if needed. It will also let you delete selected add-ons from the pedal. But it doesn't do any patch management/storage.
The MS-100BT is the only pedal in the Multi-Stomp series that includes all bass, guitar, and effects modules. All the other pedals omit some effect types. It is a shame that it is discontinued. It's a good pedal.
