About StompShare

StompShare is a virtual effect shop app that recreates the effects display area of an instrument shop.

This shop includes not only popular types of stomp box effects and rack mount effects, but it also offers guitar amp models and emulations of classic effects that can no longer be found new, for example.

You can easily audition and even try effects before buying the ones that you like by connecting an MS-100BT hardware multistomp effector and an iOS device by Bluetooth.

Then, you can add purchased effects to your MS-100BT and use them like any other hardware effect.

-You can also use the trial effect in combination with other effects already in your unit.

We plan to continue adding even more variety of effects to StompShare in the future.

■Current StompShare provides 71 Effects and 23 Amps, total 94.

-You can also choose to view just the newest releases or all the effects at once.

-Write the effect to an MS-100BT pedal and use it to adjust parameters as you try playing with it.

-An explanation for each effect includes information about the effect it models and the tones it can create.

-Listen to demo sounds of every effect in the shop.

-Use Bluetooth to connect the iOS device and the MS-100BT without cables.

-Effects are categorized so you can easily find the ones you want.

-Double tap, pinch out and pinch in to zoom in and out.

Still works and it’s almost 2022

For a while I couldn’t get this to work and gave up. Tried it again and voila, works like a charm. I docked it a star because it erased everything I transferred “from another iOS device” which is an annoyance but it seems I can transfer stuff again, at least.

Holy S#!+ This Pedal Is Amazing!

It’s nice to see that a company actually puts in work to create the one and only holy pedal. Imma be honest and say it’s not that “Great” of a time on bass, but in guitar it’s awesome. I also wish that there were more updates. Good job Devs!

Broken

June 2017 Update (important info)

2017 REVIEW UPDATE:

All add-ons in the this app App are NOW FREE! 116 modules include amps, distortions, modulation, compressors, synths, pitch shifters and more. The MS-100BT and StompShare are discontinued and no longer supported or updated.

If StompShare has problems, delete it and re-install. That may fix the problem, even if temporarily. It occasionally freezes with my 4th gen iPad, but has worked fine with an iPod Touch 6 (YMMV). NOTE that if you delete and re-install, it will force you to re-install all add-ons to your MS-100BT. So you may need to take notes about what you have installed.

I suggest making sure bluetooth pairing is finished & active before launching StompShare .

If you don't own a Multi-Stomp product, StompShare provides a great way to hear decent recordings of examples of the effects as well as try out the module for 15 min.

Navigating the "shelf" is clunky. Labels can be hard to read. Add-ons must be transfered one at a time. There is no list view or search function. There is a categories view.

The MS-100BT can't hold ALL the add-ons, but it can hold MOST of them. I was able to load 90 out of the 116. I might be able to load more, but I got everything that I wanted loaded.

Zoom did not include any info about how much processing each add-on requires, or how much memory it takes up in the pedal. That would have been helpful.

In addition to add-ons, StompShare will update the pedal's firmware if needed. It will also let you delete selected add-ons from the pedal. But it doesn't do any patch management/storage.

The MS-100BT is the only pedal in the Multi-Stomp series that includes all bass, guitar, and effects modules. All the other pedals omit some effect types. It is a shame that it is discontinued. It's a good pedal.

This units Rocks

Nice to see a company who cares about tone and not just weird effects. I have a Zoom G5 for the studio, but wanted something I could just take with me anywhere and plug into an amp, mixer, whatever. And being able to almost pick whatever 6 effects I want, even if its 6 chorus units, and place them in any order I want is. Mega Plus!

This unit is easy to use and once you set it up you got all your tones in a nice little box. It's like a little Swiss army knife of tone. And if you want to add a few more things they are only priced at $0.99 and $1.99. It's got everything you need and few other rare toys and even some bass effects.

I hope they keep the new optional downloads flowing, including some bass amps, a more detailed parametric EQ, and maybe even a Lab Series L5 amp model. Now THAT would be great!

The only weaknesses are the parametric EQ, which has frequency setting that are too course to really fine tune a unique setting, ack of being able to use Edit And Share to store settings out side the unit, and the amount of processing power available. A bit more so I could use another lush reverb would have been good.

Overall this unit gets a 5/5! It's that good!

Pretty good so far

I had the first version of this pedal released a few months back so when I saw this version with the ability to upload additional amps and effects via bluetooth I had to have it. Only had it a few days but it works great and uploads quick. This is exactly what Digitech Should Have done with the istomp. The zoom app uploads much quicker with no cable needed and allows you to use up to six effects at once. This is going to hurt the Istomp I have one of those as well. The Zoom app is better.

Awesome effects/modeler in a great single size pedal.

I really love this pedal. It's a pretty good multi-effects unit in a single pedal. I have the pod hd500 and yes it's not as good as that, but with this pedal and my bad horsie into my marshall 1987 head, I don't need anything else. I like the Bluetooth capability for adding effects. I'd give it 5 stars if you could change the settings via an iPad or iPhone app. It would be a great add on to have a graphical view of the flow and would be much easier than having to get on the floor to change settings.

Effects shop suggestion

Effects shop needs the ability to show which effect has been uploaded to pedal.

Also, an issue when loading multiple effects to pedal back to back with iPad Air. Causing StompShare sync to time out without loading the effect. Switching from stomp share to a different app then going back into stomp share app allowed for continued loading.

love it!

The good and the bad

I hate to give this review less than 5 stars as I love this pedal (being a high-end boutique-tube-pedal kind of guy). The MS-100BT is a true, quality DSP effects, pedal/amp-emulation pedal for an unbelievable price and fits on a small board. I've gotten some great sounds in all categories and the effects downloads offer some excellent emulations.

Now for the bad: Zoom has dropped the ball on both customer-support and software/firmware updates. #1: if the product is that good, then the patches are worth backing up - somewhere. Anywhere. But no iPhone back-up, no cloud backup, no computer backup, nuttin'. You do get to retain download-rights for the effects, but all your magical tweaking lives only on the pedal. Big design mistake. #2: upgrading to a new iPhone still gives you download-rights for previous effects purchases, BUT, you must restore purchases to the pedal, one by one in order to get your patches to re-include them in the effects chain. So you'll be spending some time tapping your iPhone to put everything back. And even then, some patches may still be missing effects, which you will not only need to re-insert, but re-tweak as well. About an hour for me. Oh, and customer-support? After 3 months, still waiting for an email reply.

Is it still worth having the pedal? Yes. But until Zoom 'speeds up' and upgrades their firmware updates, I'd suggest getting all your patches set on one iDevice and not using an upgraded device (iPhone) to re-connect to the Bluetooth on the MS-100BT. Scotty - out.

Revolutionary

Once in a while a revolutionary product comes along, and the Bluetooth enabled zoom pedal is one.
The effects sound great even the distortions- try for yourself- and are fully programmable for live use
Nice to see the store up and running- would love to see quirkier stuff for sale such as a sitar sound or some crazy vai/belew patch

A Must Have!

I have owned lots of modelers and analog pedals. if you need some really nice delays, reverb, and compressors this is the thing! If you need some weird effects but don't want to lay out $150 or more per unit get this. I run this into vintage tube amps and it's great! The tuner rounds it out nicely. The unit is easy to work with and this app works great - even on multiple IOS devices!

After updating the app all previously bought pathes are gone

I updated StompShare and afterwards my previously bought patches (eg Big Muff PI, Dirty Filter) disappeared. Nevermind, said I, I like the MS100 even without them. Then I thought, I will just buy them again. StompShare happily took my money, and said I already have the patches, and asked me nicely if I want to buy them again. Yes, I said, and StompShare froze. Needless to say, it took my money but I still do not have the patches. GREAT!

Cool so far!

Just got my pedal tonight. Loaded the centagold(quick!) and previewed a lot of the pedals and amps. So far I really like StompShare ! Would like to see a POG patch and maybe some of the other crazy ehx stuff. Keep us weirdos happy! Would give 5 stars but then you might get complacent and think u have nothing to improve. Keep up the good work guys!

Works in iOS 8.1

I have an iPad air running iOS 8.1, and the ZOOM MS-100bt.
StompShare seems to work well.
I have loaded all 20 of the free effects and a couple of the paid ones with no problem.
StompShare has nice descriptions of the effects, and a good system for demoing them, before purchase.
StompShare needs a search feature and a list view to speed up finding things.
I gave it one star off because it really should have an patch editor/librarian in it.

Love the sound quality and variety of effects in the pedal!

Love

Love this pedal and StompShare is icing on the cake! Can't wait to see more effects added! And getting to try effects out for 15 mins? That just makes it perfect

Almost nice :)

I use StompShare and it really good one but I need some new features:
1) would be great to add presets management from iPhone : sorting, renaming, copying, deleting
2) would be nice to add single preset management -- add/del effects units, change params and so on

Cool System

Zoom has taken the compact stomp box to a whole new level with the MS-100BT pedal. But seriously--15 minutes to preview the effects? It takes me that long to plug in and power up.

Lame and late to the game.

You got to be kidding me. This looks like a bad copy of Amplitube and Digtech Stomp Shop. Pedals don't really load and they don't even sell the pedal to use them with. Who's gonna pay actual money for these low res, high latency tones? Deleted it an hour after loading it.

Don’t bother until updated

Hasn’t been updated in two years. Won’t let you purchase in iOS 9.3.1, slow as molasses. Come on guys, the pedal is still on sale in retail stores … update StompShare !

By

Stay away!

StompShare is useless. You cannot control the pedal with it. It's just a way for Zoom to make more money. They didn't deliver what they promised with this pedal.
