I used to really like iWindsurf. I pay for a pro subscription and get ads. You would think there would be someway to get rid of the ads. Either charge subscribers or charge advertisers. Going to cancel the subscription. Tired of ads wasting my screen real estate. Tired of looking for ads that I have no interest in. Plenty of other really good apps with no ads.

iWindsurf is great! I personally use it every day as a competitive windsurfer in the Bay Area. However, iWindsurf recently has been unable to open since ios 13. I have an iphone 11 pro max and was hoping this issue would be solved eventually but now after some time passed, still no improvements. I would give 5 stars but the stability is really an issue since i cannot even open iWindsurf without it crashing.

Can the developers please change the color of the meter graph background from black to white? I can’t see the black lines for the graph against the black background.

Fairly accurate for wind and swell, easy to check really quick for a weekly outlook. Not always the most accurate but I feel I can trust it for the most part after using it for a few years.

iWindsurf helps me to to make a decision from my house about going windsurfing.
You can see more accurately than a weather app the direction and speed of the wind.

Highly recommended!

I have a power cruiser and a friend with a sail boat told me about iWindsurf. Awesome for checking wind and water conditions critical with a 25’ boat going into large Bay Area. It’s a great tool for safety and been critical for safety. Love it!

I love iWindsurf. I use several to cross reference but this one gives the most predictable conditions.

I have been using this app since about the mid 80’s and it has made my life so much better and fun because all of my family windsurfs so the weather forecasts, along with all the other windsurf information on it has been great! We have bought and sold gear with it, found places to sail that we knew nothing about, got advice from your blog, and seriously check it every single day of my life for Wind !!! I could go on and on but it is THE BEST APP I HAVE!!!! Thank you big time!!!! Bill Mangan

I use i windsurf to check wind conditions and forecasts for fishing. IMO they are very accurate (as much as you can be) and I love having access to so much info in an easy to use interface.

I use this for windsurfing sailing and even fishing. In conjunction with other weather apps I get a great view of current and forecast conditions. iWindsurf is stable and does not seem to have any issues

Kanaha is great as far as the graph etc. need Kihei with the same type of info.
I have used this site when all that was available was the pager and Wendy.
Oh and a wind cam for Kanaha would be great

I live in a remote location on the southern Oregon coast where there is quite a bit of windsurfing. Due to the remote location at the ocean, it is difficult to get accurate forecasts of any kind, let alone specific wind gusts down to the hour. I’ve used this app on my iPhone for a few years and it’s the best forecasting I can get. Also, after a strong gust rocks my place, I can check in at the closest location to learn fairly quickly just how strong it was. I really appreciate iWindsurf!

Works well. No complaints other than you can’t dial wind up or down or make it less gusty. I think that’s a super premium option.

I kayak quite a bit on the Saint Croix river. iWindsurf gives me much more reliable wind forecasting the other weather apps I have tried. I really like the local stations and the forecast tables.

What a great app! I use it all the time. Especially before I go fishing. Living on the Great Lakes iWindsurf allows me to plan what spots I’m going to fish in order to stay out of the wind. I definitely recommend iWindsurf.

this app is worth ANY amount of money! It is invaluable! this app helps me get out on the water much more often. And it saves me a ton of gas money by knowing whether I should make the drive... (by knowing what the wind is doing). Also- Wind List new feature is so brilliant.

Awesome app. Easy to set up, tons of stations to view, and as accurate as any weather prediction could be. Massive improvement over the old pager tech from 30 years ago

This is a great app, I fish Lake Erie and this is my go to source when deciding whether or not I should head out. I use the wind map and I am usually able to make a decision as to whether or not I will be driving up to the lake, 5-7 days in advance.

between April and September I plan my weekends and Friday conf calls based on the this app forecasts and the sensor readings. I anticipate Mike Godsey’s 7am and 7pm wind predictions like a kid waiting for the school snow cancellations report. Once you personalize the content that you need (there’s a lot to choose from) it’s a couple clicks to lock in on the wind, waves and adrenaline...or know to hit the trails instead.

Danger is ever more present when out on the water. iWindsurf is invaluable to me! I fish everywhere from the Colorado River to Catalina and San Clemente Islands, so before I head out I go to my most reliable source!

Love having real time winds in the gorge but the fonts are tiny. I’ve been sailing for 35 years and these old eyes don’t always have a pair of glasses on front of them. Please make the font sizes bigger or let the user adjust to preference.

I Use it to predict winds when I’m fishing high mountain lakes. It is spot on 3 days out. You know in advance the timing of when to get off the lake and be safe
