I had previously purchased the premium version of this app. Last year, they changed it so only the original templates could be used, then asked $9.99/month (A MONTH!) to use the templates I had previously had access to via premium purchase. Today I logged in and they’ve further locked down to only ONE template I can use without being hijacked for $9.99/month. (The rest of those templates in the original collection are equally boring, which tells me they’re desperate for cash). Developers: if you’re so hard up you have to hold users hostage for it via steep endless monthly charge versus raise capital through VC, you’re not a (financially) stable platform. Taking my photos elsewhere.

I recently paid for an upgrade to unlock all the premium features of this app before the app was updated and changed its name. My payment unlocked all of the overlays for all of the seasons and weather conditions. I was very happy with the app. Then a couple weeks later the app did an update and I lost everything I had paid for and now it’s changed to a yearly subscription of $20 a year? There is no way I would pay that much for an app like this after I already paid to unlock everything before. The new overlays aren’t nearly as nice as the old ones either.

This used to be a great app. Then they changed everything so much I didn’t even recognize the app after the change. They could and should have just left this app alone and launched a new app instead of this. They also changed to a subscription model which for me is a 100% deal breaker. I deleted the app and now I’m looking for alternatives. After seeing some of the developer responses to negative reviews I can see they have gone off the rails. To potential customers out there I would highly recommend passing on this app.
