The weather reporters use their own ADJETIVES when referring to the weather. They use words such as miserable, awful, dreadful, just to report a simple, cloudy day! Words have power. So when people hear these words, they then think about them and then say them to others, and it goes on and on. Can't they and the news reporters also, just say, "it's a cloudy day." Simple. That's it. We don't need to hear this negativity. There's enough of it when reporting just the regular news. Some of us love cloudy days and refer to them as cozy days! Please help with this matter which I find disturbing.
Malware? One-option pop-ups.

Started getting pop-up message boxes (blue background) offering to install something or do something- the messages were very vague. I do not recall what they were, I am sorry to say. There was NO "Cancel" or "No" button option, only "Accept" or "Yes". It was not possible to get rid of them or go back either; I had to quit the app each time. After three of these appeared in one day, I uninstalled the app.
Was I looking at a trojan or something? Who knows, especially now that App store integrity has been breached, which is more reason to never, ever click on pop-ups offering no option but "yes" anyway.
As for ABC's news, as presented through this app, the writing was often terrible, full of half-sentences with words missing or in a weird order. Contradictory statements were common. All the proofreaders seem to be on a permanent break.
Horrible update

This is a horrible update! Like other viewers it keeps telling me I need an internet connection, so there is nothing there. I know it’s the app because all my other apps connect. When I can see things, it’s not user friendly, hard to find stories. Also, I stream the news, and can’t always find it, or it won’t work. I finally really figured out the last update and don’t know why such a drastic change had to occur. If a better update doesn’t become available soon I will have to find an app that can actually show me news, which I hate because abc7chicago is my favorite station to watch, especially in the morning.
Definitely NOT an upgrade

I stream the morning telecast each weekday morning - at least I was able to until the upgrade to the new lay out/format. Never had a problem with internet connection. Now, I can’t live stream. Says I have to internet connection. Sorry, but I do. Same place as I used to stream this with no changes to my internet service. Also, everything is harder to find. I thought the previous layout worked very well. No problems with change here - change is good as long as we can still get the information we want and need. I would send a picture to prove I have internet connection, but I can’t seem to paste a picture here.
