This game seems fun but once you get to the harder levels things just become unfair. Enemies will quickly have the ability to instantly kill you, having absurd amounts of health and taking almost no damage, dealing absurd damage every turn, absorb damage against an element for too long, absorb all of your damage because you couldn’t get enough combos, and locking down your team preventing you from even playing the game. Even with skills from your monsters your damage and ability to heal is ultimately RNG dependent which very easily make things less fun than it already is.
There are ways to get around these unfair mechanics but you’d need to get useful things from the gatcha which has bad rates even with x7 for whatever. Evolving your monsters is also a chore because you have to put up with these mechanics to get the materials, but then you have to get materials to evolve your materials if you actually beat the dungeon.
If you like the artificial difficulty of the dungeons this game has then ok. But if you don’t then it’s best to avoid this game, playing casually will almost get you nowhere if the things this game has doesn’t sit well with you.

I'm a 5 year player and when I started, I loved this game. You could play almost any level with a halfway decent decent team and, with some luck and skill, a player could beat most dungeons. Now, any new dungeons require a fat wallet to buy your way to victory, or teams so specific that you have no. chance of putting it together unless you're willing to drop a couple grand on stones. Used to be a boss would have 60 million hp and beating them was a challenge, where a victory was a hard-earned accomplishment. Now, bosses sit at 600 million hp and have so much defense, or impossible to beat mechanics like damage absorb, they make it impossible for a player to do more than 1 - 10 million damage/turn before dealing out so much damage that literally no team, no matter how well researched and put together, can survive it. Gung-ho has clearly decided to give everyone the finger, including years long players, if they aren't willing to drop serious money on an obvious cash-grab. Spend your time and money elsewhere. This game will leave you feeling frustrated that years of hard work and farming meant nothing.

I’ve tried with this game, i really have. Loved it back in the day, cane back years later and it was starting to get a little buy to win, or new user unfriendly, but now its just blech. Its sad because the concept on the puzzle play is a fantastic and trailblazing take on the bejeweled style game, and the artists are top notch when they’re not making the same copy and paste anime girl, but it has become such a slog now. Of the literal thousands of characters, only about 10 or so are ever going to be useful at a time for about a month or so until they slap in their next overpowered hard to get unit tied under either an impossible dungeon unless you have the last greatest team they had, or have grinded so relentlessly that your life became pad. They did the same thing yugioh did and i just cant play it anymore. The second a game has a one turn insta kill move when you have a team of super ultimate gods, i class it as a bad game or atleast bad developers. Play this game for a quick while to get your neuron activation joy for a few weeks and then drop it, anything past the base game is basically CBT.
