With this app, you can release the shutter remotely, then easily import photos from the camera to your smartphone and share your most inspiring moments with friends and family.

Import photos from your camera to your smartphone via Wi-Fi, and share with friends right from where you are.

Paired with a compatible OM Digital Solutions camera, the OLYMPUS Image Share (OI.Share) smartphone app makes photography more enjoyable than ever.

OLYMPUS Image Share allows you to see the camera's Live View on your smartphone screen.

It also lets you operate the camera from your smartphone -- touch your smartphone screen to specify the AF point or release the shutter.

In addition, you can choose to control camera settings directly on the camera, and use the smartphone just for releasing the shutter, as if using remote cables.

All you need to do is use OI.Share to scan the QR code displayed on the rear monitor of a compatible camera to easily set up the initial wireless connection settings.

* When using a FlashAir card, use the FlashAir card connection information to connect from the smartphone's Wi-Fi setting screen.

You can also simply select photos on the camera to share ahead of time (Share Order Function) to easily and conveniently import photos.

You can also adjust camera settings such as shooting mode (iAUTO, P, A, S, M or ART) and drive mode (Single, Burst and Self timer), as well as control the zoom for electronic zoom lenses.

You can "half-press" on your smartphone screen to only focus, and "full-press" to release the shutter.

Photos on the camera can be imported via Wi-Fi.

* This app is not guaranteed to work on all Smartphone and tablet devices.

* The Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Logo is a certification mark of the Wi-Fi Alliance.

Once Reliable, Now Useless

What happened to OLYMPUSImageShare?!?! For years it has been in indispensable component of the Olympus ecosystem, and now it's essentially useless. With an iPhone 13 running iOS 15.2.1 with an Olympus EM1 MkII, it took several tries to get OLYMPUSImageShare connected to the camera. Using the Live View remote for a self-portrait project, I managed to get two, maybe three photos recorded before OLYMPUSImageShare froze. Then it would once again take two or three attempts to restore the connection, and the self-timer settings had to be reset each time. The net result was that a 15 minute project took more than an hour and I only got a quarter for the images I needed. It worries me that Olympus is in new hands now, so I doubt this is a priority, but I sure hope it gets fixed soon. In the meantime it's just junk, I'd give it zero stars if that was an option. #FAIL

No longer works without cellular data connection!

I have used OLYMPUSImageShare for years. Whenever I travel internationally, with my phone on airplane mode, I have always been able to activate WiFi,
Connect to camera and transfer photos to phone. Much easier to review on phone that camera. On my most recent trip, this no longer works. I get an error about no OM Digital Camera data found. Once I’m back in cell service OLYMPUSImageShare works fine. So I cannot use OLYMPUSImageShare to transfer photos or control my camera if shooting out of cell service range. OM, fix this! Why did this change?

Needs some attention

My single, only use for OLYMPUSImageShare is to take tripod selfies. As such, adding a feature to show a “mirror” view (instead of what the camera sees) would make composing shots feel more natural. Also, as other reviewers have reported, connecting the camera to OLYMPUSImageShare is the jankiest process. Why not use Bluetooth?

My gear: OM-D E-M1 Mark II, and just about every lens available. I’ve sunk a lot of money into this company. Please show us some love with an app update! Thank you.

Something changed…

A few years ago I would give this a 5star rating. I used it as a remote for my OMD-M5-mark II. It worked beautifully and I loved it for night sky shots, as I never had to touch my camera. Now my camera won’t even connect!!! What changed? I love my camera but I need a remote which gives me control of speed aperture and ISO! I have the latest firm ware and my app is auto update. Please give OLYMPUSImageShare some attention! I have used Olympus cameras for years! However, I am seriously considering upgrading/moving on to something else! Please don’t let that happen! Giving this a one star because I can’t give it zero…. You’ve let me down Olympus.

Imports constantly fair

OLYMPUSImageShare used to work fairly smoothly for importing photos from my various Olympus cameras to my iPhone. Now, you can barely move more than a couple images at a time without it failing the import. Even then, it fails half the time to even import the first image in a series. Just maddening and has been going on for months. It really does feel like Olympus is just leaving their users behind and I would caution anyone looking to get into the system now with the lack of support going into this core application that had previously been very solid.

Used to be great

I have used OLYMPUSImageShare many times, but for the last year or so, it has not worked reliably. It will import only 2-3 photos then stall. It sometime will not connect to use the remote features. Please update OLYMPUSImageShare so I can continue to have the functionaly promised with the purchase of the camera.

OM Digital Solutions Doesn’t Care

The only thing worse than OLYMPUSImageShare is the customer service that has moved from the Philippines to the Czech republic. Connection on OLYMPUSImageShare using an iPhone or an iPad to a OMD Mark ll or Mark lllIs not intuitive. Once connected, constantly disconnects. It’s not worth the frustration and aggravation to even attempt to use. If you are reading this and considering buying a OLYMPUS, Save your money, look at Nikon or Sony. It’s a shame it’s such a quality camera system is not being supported. Pathetic pathetic!!

Known issue?

Because of a "known issue" my TG5 will not interface with my iPhone 12. A "patch" is in the works but there is no info about when it may be ready and apparently no way to notify me when it is. The Olympus manuals and support system are worse than useless--most of the instructions I find apply to their big cameras with touch screens. They should have information available that applies to this specific model. I now regret having bought the camera.

When it works, ⭐️⭐️⭐️. But usually not so much.

OLYMPUSImageShare still needs work. Even if the set up worked yesterday doesn't mean it will work today. When it does work it is fairly slow.
And the support link on OLYMPUSImageShare Store for OLYMPUSImageShare doesn't currently open support suggestions.
Please fix.

Update: It is worse. On the iPad the zoom control disappears. The focus hunts. And I upgraded to the TG-6 and they made those controls worse so add the two things together and it is a 1/2 star app at best.

worst app

it takes my fully charged Olympus battery just to import an 8 minute video. On top of that, it nearly takes 2 hours just to get it to import through my phone! I had my camera fully charged when I started to import this small video and right when it was about 99% from importing, camera dies. You can’t import ANYTHING! It’s extremely frustrating and stressful. If you enjoy being stressed out and frustrated, then OLYMPUSImageShare is perfect for you!

By

Update DESPERATELY Needed!!!

I’m only giving it 3 stars because OLYMPUSImageShare used to work flawlessly- now, it doesn’t recognize any of my new photos since the beginning of February ‘21, which is when the last update was done on OLYMPUSImageShare. For the amount of money we spend on our cameras, this is unacceptable!

By

What happened??!

OLYMPUSImageShare used to be buggy but now it doesn’t work at all. It will connect but then it won’t allow me to use it to import photos or as a remote without disconnecting again. I have tried everything to make this work and it is rendering my camera almost useless as I have no other way to get the photos to my phone (no computer). Fix this! Please.

By

Useless and frustrating

Don’t waste your time. Connecting the camera to the smart phone works then doesn’t work. Connects then disconnects and won’t reconnect. If you turn off the camera and/or close OLYMPUSImageShare , the next time you try to use them, you have to start all over again to connect the two with no assurance that they will connect. A big waste of time.

By

Can’t update firmware through it

I have a brand new EM1 Mark III, but can’t update the firmware through OLYMPUSImageShare . It says I have to be connected to the camera AND the Internet at the same time. Impossible. Other manufacturers do this so well. Why can’t Olympus?

By

Doesn’t Work

If you like wasting time figuring out why you can’t get the Wi-Fi-connected, reconnecting, and loading images, then doing it again, then OLYMPUSImageShare is for you. I regret buying an Olympus camera since the Wi-Fi transfer for our nonprofit was one of the features we wanted. Listen to the reviews. Too many of us w/ similar issues.

By

Worthless

If you want to get pics from your Olympus camera connect with the USB connection to your computer. To make the connection to your iPhone via Bluetooth is absurdly complicated and essentially does not work. Olympus is getting out of the camera business so do not expect that OLYMPUSImageShare will improve.

Cannot upload pics from camera to phone

I loved the ability to upload my pictures from my camera to my phone but suddenly it quit working. I’m wondering has something to do with the recent update on our phones. Please advise and fix the problem.

By

4 Star but

I rate OLYMPUSImageShare 4 star but I only use the remote control features. OLYMPUSImageShare provides the ability to control Focus, aperture, speed, etc remotely. what more could you want? Works great for hummingbirds and the northern lights. It’s a high tech cable release.

Connects easily and stays connected.

I do not transfer any photos to my phone so I have never tried the transfer or edit features.

Please fix this app

OLYMPUSImageShare was an amazing feature and I used it all the time. Now my camera won’t connect and it makes my camera seem worthless. I’m so upset that I can’t use the remote feature which is the only reason we purchased our camera. Please please please fix OLYMPUSImageShare!!!

Import doesn’t work

Application just stopped working after update. It can’t import any picture. Just hanging in there and then shows the message “unable to find an om digital solutions camera”.
I bought this camera mainly because of wi-fi. And now it doesn’t work. Very poor service.

By

Helpful with bugs

OLYMPUSImageShare has its issues, as others here have stated, but when it’s functioning normally it’s intuitive. However, I’ve had issues lately with the inability to import photos. I can connect to the camera, control it remotely with OLYMPUSImageShare , but the Import Photos feature displays No Photos even with 2 cards in my EM-1 Mk2 full of raw and jpeg images. I’m also having this issue on my old EM-10 Mk1 so I know it’s not the camera itself. This loss of feature has basically rendered OLYMPUSImageShare useless. Please update!

By

It works just fine...

I see that there’s a lot of complaints for OLYMPUSImageShare , but it works perfectly for me. I’ve had no problems installing it and using any of the features like the remote camera control on my E-M10 Mark II. Take note that this cannot import RAW images, so make sure to set your camera to save as JPEG+RAW if need be.

Also note that you need to make sure that you are connected to the appropriate WiFi host as you cannot both connect to the camera and to another WiFi with internet at the same time.

It could use some improvements with the remote control and the overall UI, but it’s already a fine app.

Works Really Well

I downloaded OLYMPUSImageShare March 2020. I read all the negative reviews, so it seems that Olympus listened, because OLYMPUSImageShare works all the time for me.

It shows previous downloads, so I know which photos are new or old. Connection for transfer to my iPhone X is smooth, and works every time. The remote feature is very useful.

I don’t use all features of OLYMPUSImageShare , but remote, transfer, and connectivity is everything I expected. I highly recommend OLYMPUSImageShare!

Works, but needs improvements...

Whilst I've had an Olympus tg4 for over 4 years, I've only been using this program for about a year. It works but has some frustrating quirks. I would love it if the following could be addressed:

• Whilst photos are importing, if you minimise the program, everything stops.
• Have the option to retry if say only one file in a batch of 300
• For large files (videos) the progress bar is next to useless and sometimes you wonder if it has failed. Using the progress bar as the overall filesize would solve this, or add a second bar (or percentage) for the current file
• A sync option (like what google photos or Dropbox photos uses) would be amazing!
• I've noticed that if your phone has no space things just fail or terminate without warning. Adding some checks on file size and available space would make a lot of sense.

That's all I can think of right now. Cheers.

Unusable slow

Though OLYMPUSImageShare technically works most of the time. By that I mean I can import photos painfully slow. And short video clips of 2 minutes in about 30-40 minutes. It is so slow your phone and camera battery will be dead after importing just 2 videos. Also your phone is useless to you while doing it or you have to start over again as it will error right at the end after 40 minutes of waiting. It is actually faster to drive home, place SD card into computer and airdrop then drive back to event then it is to transfer one video via OLYMPUSImageShare .

By

Does the job!

Being able to transfer photos wirelessly from my TG-5 to my iPhone and iPad is great! OLYMPUSImageShare works best, I’ve discovered, when you send images in batches of about 20. Short videos can be sent 1-2 at a time for best results in my experience. Overall great app because it does what I need and I don’t have to plug in my camera to a computer or remote the SD card. Very convenient. :)

By

makes photography more fun

App works well on my EM 5.2. Can adjust some camera settings, but wish the histogram for each color channel was shown on playback. Get a better idea of photo quality with the larger screen of my Ipad mini than just the small camera lcd screen.

Then I wirelessly transfer the good photos to my computer from my Ipad using the Airmore app.

By

Open source this so the community can fix it

OLYMPUSImageShare is full of ridiculous UI problems. It doesn't check if a photo has been imported before, so you can easily get duplicates by accident. Doing something else causes OLYMPUSImageShare to not only stop an import that's in progress, but forget what it was importing all together. The remote control mode is interesting but flaky. Olympus does not seem to be working on improving any of this, so they should open source it and give others a chance to make improvements.

By

Notification spam

OLYMPUSImageShare works fine so far for transferring photos from my camera. However, I really don’t appreciate the notification spam about Black Friday and other events. I already bought your camera and like it - please consider removing these marketing notifications. All you are doing with them is ensuring that I won’t buy Olympus in the future.

By

Not Functioning

Sometimes it works but most times it doesn’t. I’ve been struggling with OLYMPUSImageShare for months. None of my new photos, jpeg or raw have been showing up on OLYMPUSImageShare , which prevents me from for importing anything new. Right now it’s pretty much unusable and impossible to get the photos straight from my camera to my phone. I’ve tried putting the sd card into my computer as well but the images don’t show up there either.
As of now I can’t even connect to the WiFi. OLYMPUSImageShare is by far the worst thing about using Olympus products.

By

JPG Only

This does what it is suppose to do BUT NOT WITH RAW files. I am using an E-M1II and it works when I remove the SD with raw files, leaving only the SD card with jpgs. Maybe if I reverse the card settings I won’t need to remove the raw SD card. It took a lot off cussing and swearing to figure this out, thanks to another review. Only four stars because it doesn’t work with raw and this is not evident from the information I saw.

By

One star because I can’t give zero

In a time where it’s easier than ever to take and edit high quality pictures on your phone Olympus has put out an app where there’s a 50/50 chance it actually connects to your camera. You might guess that they stepped up the quality of their products at the sign of competition but you would be utterly wrong. I write this only in the futile hope that someone from the company actually reads this and decides to maybe join the next decade with some decent upgrades

Fix this!

This application is very temperamental to say the least. Ridiculous amount of time wasted going through what should be an easy and quick wifi connection between iPhone or iPad, but it is not. Could be the iOS updates are not enabling the Olympus camera software to connect, but people are spending Thousands of dollars on Olympus cameras and lens, only to find this WIFI feature doesn’t work on their also expensive iPhone and/or iPad.
Makes me sorry I invested in both!

By

Super helpful

The photos that were imported were high quality and the pictures only took a few seconds to send to my phone. The videos do take a little longer and I suggest not importing them all at once if you are importing more than 20 because they will take significantly longer.

By

Good but it can be improved

It is a good companion for my TG-5. Fast and easy to use. I like the option to take remote pictures. However I would like to see this improvements
1.ability to select the pictures when viewing on the phone (today only on the mosaic view)
2.it should flag somehow which pics or videos already imported to your phone

It simple doesn’t work. Completely wortless app. I’ll go back to my Sony camera , there everything works just fine.

piece of junk software. since update no longer connects with phone. it seems that's kinda the whole point of the app. don't even know how i'll get my photos off now, but i know it'll be too painful to make my camera worth anything

Since I left my message from 7/7/2022 I have been able to successfully connect and use the OI Image Share App. In my case I have Norton 360 running on my phone which includes a VPN. My steps to success included 1) I deleted the OI Image Share app, 2) Disconnected the VPN via an update though settings on my phone, 3) Reloaded the OI Image Share app. After setting up the app I now can import pictures and use the remote option with no problems. Because of the security that comes with the phone from Apple I am not sure if not having the VPN connected is of concern but having the OI Image Share app working again, at least to me, is worth the trade off.

The app will not connect to my Olympus camera E-M10 Mark IV. I have downloaded the software app to my new iPhone 13 Pro Max and it will not connect to the camera. I previously had an iPhone 6+ and the communications between the two worked flawlessly. I have read many reviews with the same issue. This issue is really bad and it removes so much flexibility from my new Olympus camera by not being able to import pictures to my phone for quick distribution. The handshake between the camera and the phone is not happening and it is obvious that a bug exists and needs to be addressed. Customers are extremely frustrated.
