Very Unreliable

I have many Legrand products in my home that I’m very happy with. The Nuvo products and app are the exception. NuvoPlayer is very glitchy and unreliable. Quite often it can’t even find the Nuvo products on my network, and it’s not my phone because this happens on all our devices. I have nine Nuvo P200 players, installed in 2020. Three of them have died and the product is discontinued so there’s no replacing them. NuvoPlayer hasn’t had a software update since 2020 - a pretty sure sign that the manufacturer has stopped supporting this system. Don’t waste your money on this - buy Sonos instead. I also have some Sonos products that I bought in 2014, and those still work flawlessly. Sonos continues to update the software and come out with new products. The only reason I didn’t install Sonos throughout my new house in 2020 is the integrator that wired my home wasn’t a Sonos dealer and talked me into using Nuvo. That has proven to be a huge waste of thousands of dollars. Eventually I’m going to have to dump all my Nuvo stuff and upgrade to Sonos like I should have done to begin with.

So frustrating

NuvoPlayer only works periodically to play music through the home speaker system he had built in. It will say it there’s no connection but the lights for the zone are good and I’m on the right network. Such a hassle and no helpful support. Now, they’re ending support anyway. We never have music available for gatherings when we want it, and then randomly it works from time to time with no rhythm or reason. Makes me so mad.

This is the worst system

Nuvo came with the house and has been a constant issue. Had one zone controller die and NuvoPlayer is horribly unfriendly. IOS 11 killed my pandora and says it can’t resolve the address but my iPad pandora app works fine. The company seems like they are uninterested in competing with Sonos. Have Sonos at another home and just ordered a complete system for vacation home. Selling this pile of crap on eBay.

Lawsuit

Please contact American Alarm in Ct.
We are a dealer for Nuvo and we also have employees that use this useless product. It constantly has power issues and just doesn’t work. We are preparing a class action lawsuit against this company. Those interested Please contact us. Those looking to buy this product “DO NOT” buy Sonos instead. Nuvo is by far the most unrealizable product on the market.

Not good.

Compared to other options like Sonos, Nuvo is incredibly slow and clunky to use. Zones consistently drop off and need to be restarted, I’m constantly asked to log back into music services, and NuvoPlayer is routinely unable to find the system and so I’ll have to restart and recycle the entire Nuvo system. I highly regret selecting Nuvo as our in home music service.

Horrible

Why was the great looking app changed? The new interface is awful and hard to see. The person who approved this change should be fires. Please go back to the previous view. You did not improve anything with the new app. So why ruin a good thing? You are trying to be hip for the young generation who os the wrong audience for this system at $4000 each component. Need to understand who your customer is.

Room for improvement

The volume button is clumsy using iPhone X and higher as it can interfiere with the swipe up gesture. NuvoPlayer also doesn’t correctly display the playlist structure on the iPhone. If there are playlists inside other playlists it doesn’t display correctly. It can’t stream Apple Music. The interface is clumsy. I hope an update comes out soon to address these issues.

Annoying

I’ve had many problems with this system. Very limited capabilities of what it can play. Cannot find a way to play a podcast. Very frustrating. Do not spend your money. It doesn’t want interface with most tech in our home. Huge waste of money and it eats up our time trying.

This App is GARBAGE

The UI for NuvoPlayer is stuck in 2006. Every single time I want to listen to something in any of my zones, I have to execute the service I want to listen to, twice. Every time. Also, the location of the volume slide is moronic. You are forced to use the volume buttons on the iPhone, otherwise you exit the application by swiping.

There is a reason that NuVo is not supported by several home automation systems. It’s because their technology is in the Stone Age, and they will not adapt no matter how many people complain.

Waste of an App

Please create an app that will allow me to use my system with the features I paid for! Every time I try to use my Pandora, iHeartRadio it gives me a message saying it can’t connect at the moment. Hell it can’t even connect to my device many times when I say just do that!!! Please help me understand how NuvoPlayer is not superb when we have a unique system. I am truly going to look into what my legal options are soon since it seems we are stuck with one option and one option only.

Great concept, terrible delivery

The music shared service (like Sirius) constantly says the channel is not available and stops playing. Once you close NuvoPlayer go back in a start again you have another 30 minutes of possibly uninterrupted music.

If you try to play your Apple Music library it doesn’t recognize family sharing OR Apple Music that’s shared.

Overall, kind of a let down for something that should play YOUR music and be a conduit to audio. Feels like there are training wheels on this software.

Disappointed in the Nuvo interface

The Nuvo player amp with my Sonos speakers sound superb BUT and it’s a huge BUT, there are a whole bunch of glitches that will drive you crazy! 1) If you stream Sirius satelite radio it will play for about 35 minutes and then just drop it and when you try to connect it will tell you “channel not available” on everything, but after an hour it’s ready to go again. 2) This system falls off our network at least once a month and doesn’t auto re connect. You have to run a hard wire to your router and re introduce the player to the network. This is ridiculous! Antiquated technology! I am searching now for another option to replace Nuvo because after 7-8 months of this nonsense i’ve had it!

It repeats or gets stuck

I love the idea of it. However, when playing playlists it gets stuck repeating the same song again and again. Or it interjects songs again into your music queue. Issues with volume also, sometimes louder randomly than other times. None of these issue if listening to radio.

Why can’t I play music from my iTunes library

I actually think NuvoPlayer is pretty good. However, all of the sudden I can no longer play music downloaded onto my iPhone. What good is his music system if you can’t play the music from your iTunes library

Has MANY glitches

NuvoPlayer and the Nuvo system in general have been nothing but a problem for my $5000+ install. If I were to defer to the company and its plus reviews then I say their distributors and installers need to be trained more on its use. NuvoPlayer crashes constantly. It does not interact well with WiFi. There are no volume controls on streaming applications like Sirius XM. I have no other suggestions as alternatives. Just frustrated with this product that I will probably scrap.

Not good at all...

A barely decent product just got much worse recently. I never could play complete playlists from my IPhone. Now it doesn’t recognize but maybe 5% of songs on my IPhone. To add insult to injury, half of my Pandora playlists no longer show up when using it in Nuvo. Why is this so complex for an app whose sole purpose is to simply play music? Terrible update.

Still needs UI support for the iPhone X

The clumsy UI has issues on the iPhone X when adjusting the volume (triggers multitask gesture) and customizing the source layout overlays on the battery / WiFi icons so you cannot save changes.

The Nuvo sound quality is a bit better than Sonos, but it should be since it's wired. However, NuvoPlayer and technology supported is significantly lagging behind the competition. Nuvo needs to incorporate at least AirPlay and ideally Apple Music to remain relevant.

Generally happy with the product!

I am happy with the Nuvo system. I do have a few feature requests:

1. Native SoundCloud support
2. iPhone X volume control location can be improved to avoid conflicting actions (as previously mentioned).

I love my Nuvo System

NuvoPlayer works fantastic! It is easy to use and we Interact with it daily. I can stream my own personal network music or use any one of the steaming services to enhance our day.

It seams like that it would be the obvious review, but it does and it's reliable. That's how apps should behave. Who doesn't like music?

It's simple and easy to use that even my children love controlling their favorite music.

Our family loves creating and storing our favorite stations and being able to quickly recall them. Music changes so much of the dynamics and ambience in our home.

Our Saturday morning playlist is perfect for cooking omelettes and getting ready for the weekend.

I also really like letting others be able to play their own songs from there iPhone. Lots of our get-togethers end up with "do you remember this song" statements as we reminisce about the past.
NuvoPlayer brings a musical interactive social aspect to a party.

A great app and a great system.

Love the Player App!

I love the way NuvoPlayer lays out my music zone control, especially on the iPad! The addition of the input sensitivity adjustment for Line Inputs is great; very much needed for connecting our personal devices to make the volume equal to that of streaming services.
