iWish - Life Goals, Wishlist, Bucket List Reviews

I have really come to love iWish. I downloaded it to replace a gratitude journal app that I had been using for years, and was very fond of, until its developer let it die by failing to update it, after multiple, new, IOS changes. I use iWish, as a supplement to my journal app. The Pro version has many, excellent features, and allows you to set and track goals, no matter how big or small. You can add pictures, schedule reminders, track your progress (in real time), and it’s compatible across all platforms, so the update that you make, while on-the-go, on your IPhone, will be added and archived on your Mac and IPad.
***additionally, once goals are completed, iWish will assemble them into an scrapbook!

I thought a review this because I really do love it. But I guess I didn’t. I’ve been using it for years as a way to track trips/travel that I want to take and have taken. You can put the spot on the map, you can add a picture that inspires you, and a description. The set date doesn’t show up on the picture so I just add it to the title. Like (Aug2019).

It creates a nice timeline to see when things happened. How busy some years were versus others. And keeps me on track to get at least one or two in a year. Even if it’s just a local getaway.

Of course, 2020 is a big huge gaping emptiness of activity (thanks, covid.). But it can’t be helped.

(Note: Not sure if anything changed in more recent updates.) The only thing I would actually like to see is a way to do separate lists. I would like to keep one primarily for travel. And another one for life goals such as language learning.

Very well done, engaging app. Very visual.

My wishes?
1) make it easier to “undo”... if you’re just starting out and you miss that the check mark does NOT mean “YEP! I want to do that” (my wife and I both made this mistake). Maybe clicking the check mark again can ‘undo’ or clicking where the this app icon was would switch to that or some way, on that pane, to undo the iDid
2) get rid of the duplicates, make it harder for your content creators to add something that already exists (e.g. “Write a biography”)

I'm a very visual person (a professional photographer), and I really appreciate the fact that iWish is filled to the brim with gorgeous photos. The photos inspire me as much as the concepts themselves, and really make me want to get out there and skydive or drive across the Irish countryside (or whatever). I also appreciate that you can see a list of all of the things you have already done in your life. I was impressed to see that my life has been so much more varied and interesting than I ever thought! Great app.

I agree w what others have said. It’s easy to use and has a lot of good suggestions in the free version. I hate that it’s not a quick undo if you hit the wrong button. I always appreciate less hoops to jump through. I also wish I could personalize their suggested pictures. Otherwise, it’s a great starter app for me and I’m enjoying building my bucket list. 🙂

It is one of the better vision board apps and there are many good features. But the reason I only gave them 3 stars is because there needs to be given more flexibility to personalize.

For ideas, It requires you to use most of there stock suggestions and at that they make you pay for bundles to add more if you don’t find what you are looking for. I also wish that we could add or rename ideas

It doesn’t allow for saving quotes to one board/dashboard. I do think it has the potential to be a great app!

I’ve been using iWish for a while now and I like it... the syncing across iCloud is pretty much worthless, and it doesn’t rotate into landscape mode (which would be nice for use on my iPad), but other than that, it’s simple and does what I need it to - which is remind me every day what I’m working towards...

This beautiful little app has been enjoyed by each member of our family. Our young boys have even taken to it, when they were three and five. I like how we can have a picture to visualize, a description for clarity and a to-do list with each wish to actually make them happen. And, they have! (Some of them, so far.)

I have used several calls setting apps, and this one is the best. You can’t upload your own photos and it reminds you want to do things on your list along with Quotes, our mission statement. My only worry is that the developers will let it go, and not keep developing it with the new iOS up dates.

iWish has some definately positives and bugs. I have been using iWish for 7 years and put in over 6,000 items. iWish will not open for me which is upsetting considering that I have put in this many items working on it for 7 years. I do Not want to lose 7 years of work and progress. Please fix this so I do not have to lose this; as this is very important in my life. :(

I love iWish and I hope they make a tvOS version for it... It’d be incredible if I could run the slideshow on a big tv all day long - instead of running Flickr as the screensaver as I’m doing right now...

Also it’d be great to be able to navigate to a card by clicking on its marker in map-view.

I wanted to like iWish, but it doesn’t work because there is some kind of bug. When I first started adding from the ideas to the wish list it worked, but now it automatically puts everything into the did list and I have to go into the did list and manually select wish on each item. Otherwise I really like iWish, the display is beautiful and the ideas provide direction. I was hopeful and I’m really disappointed it doesn’t work.

iWish is great. Love the pro features. It is my daily on the go app. Very simple and easy to use. Would like to see auto sync throughout my devices. Also progress feature should automatically align with the to-do list. Waiting for the next update.

I bought iWish because of its visual appeal. Unfortunately, I am unable to use it since, as far as I can tell, you cannot list your own, individual goals; you must select from a list of common goals or purchase additional options. Really?! How I am supposed to achieve anything in this world if I am limited to selecting goals from a pre-approved list?

Please add the option to upload your own photos and to write your own goals.

I have the pro version and I like the ability to modify stock pictures and to rate percentage completed. Also to check off items completed. I wish it could sync with my calendar as a reminder that a item is coming due. But overall I’m liking it so far.

I love waking up to inspirational quotes. iWish is easy to use. Words are powerful... I think the only thing I don’t like is the name. this app kinda is more like dreaming. I’m more into actually making things happen. I still use iWish . I just thought I’d say that.

There should be a way to search ideas to add to your wishlist. Now I either have to scroll through ALL of them to add the ones already on my bucket list to iWish , or create them. And that takes a long time to search for a picture and all that. I wish I had realized this before buying the upgrade.

This is a awesome app, I really wish to finish my list before I die, but again I have so many years ahead... hopefully, because I just turned 13 , and I want my life to be worth living in the end

It takes a little intuition to figure out simple functions like delete and reorder. No selection of images to change. Must upload your own. But you get out what you put in! It's a reminder of your commitment...! A Calendar function would be a great addition...

I’ve read a lot of the reviews. And, made a decision to download. It appears to be very vibrant. But, I’m leery of its performance as it hasn’t been updated in 2 yrs.

Would hate to invest time into this board if it’s not updated & maintained on a regular basis. The last update referenced iPhone 4/5 UI. Apple just launched iPhone 10S. That makes me sad. Will update again in 2 weeks

I just enjoy iWish so much that I can enlist my bucket lists and wishes to my heart’s content, more so the ones that I’ve already accomplished. I’ve already achieved quite a few especially in the travel department and have delighted myself in its ability to store photos as well. I just hope they’re going to update iWish , improve its ability to rearrange photos in the media department and fix other glitches. Now, I’m looking forward to achieving one of life’s most important milestones. 🌺💃🏻🌺
