Searching for a location is very difficult. I input a place name into the search field and if CARNAVITIME can’t find the location, which is most of the time, it suggests I go to Google maps. I click on the link to Google maps and it finds the location without difficulty I send the address back to the Navitime app but CARNAVITIME still cannot find the place.
When I try to get support, I’m faced with screen after screen full of options to select, all of them in Japanese. So there’s no way to get support for my issues.
I’ve canceled my subscription because CARNAVITIME is basically unusable for me
It's difficult if not impossible to find an english car navigation system here in Japan. Navitime works great on my iPhone SE and appears to use the same /similar interface and display as Japanese car navigation systems. It provides route options and calculates toll charges and tracks parking & service areas on the highways along with gas, convenience stores and other roadside needs. Maps are very current and appear to update frequently. I've been using it for over a year now and just recently renewed my subscription. It's the best option I've found for road trips here in Japan!
