Take your Auto-play videos and shove it

Just say "no" to automatic playing of videos.

Garbage app.

Are you kidding me? A news app that doesn't support landscape mode? You can't even get through the launch tutorial if you have the iPad in landscape mode. CBSAustinNews takes tablet technology back 6 years in functionality!

Horrible App

This is a poor excuse for an iPad app. First it does not do landscape so it makes it impossible to use on a daily basis if you use an iPad stand or keyboard. It just looks and acts like a 12 yr old made it.

Best TV station with the worst app

Weather radar is unreliable with regard to severe weather. Traffic settings cannot be saved. Sports seldom updates. The link to ROH WRESTLING is the most consistent, reliable feature on CBSAustinNews.

Push notifications don't work

The push notifications, when opened, do not automatically open a relavent story.

Tries to install app unprompted

Several times attempted to install an app (robokiller) unprompted by me. Uninstalling and will not be visiting CBS News Austin any time in the near future

That's a funny joke

Update doesn't ever load. IOS 7.1 on an iPhone 5, so not (yet) obsolete. Just downloaded update and KEYE won't open. Nice.
Addendum: KEYE released an update which now at least opens the landing page. Nothing opens after you get there, but I feel like this is progress. I did get weather current conditions to open but that was it. Also, after you get current conditions open, despite what you select, that's what opens. At least it's funny.

So much lag, you can’t even use it.

It runs fine for 5 minutes, but it starts getting so slow between clicks that you can’t even use CBSAustinNews . It can take several minutes to load up the next article, and if you push the back button it takes several more minutes to load that back up.

It’s an unusable app.

Still needs work

Latest update says live streaming video but where? Also shows picture of weatherman Troy Kimmel who was replaced by Alison Miller. CBSAustinNews has potential but right now not worth the price (free).

Need a landscape option

CBSAustinNews needs to allow you to use it landscape.

Generally I prefer CBS News Austin, however…

I love CVS Austin in general. However, when the weather speaks of snow and freezing temperatures, I assume they are speaking about Austin/Travis County. When in actuality they are talking about Mason and beyond (West). I would really appreciate discussing Austin and its suburbs first and primarily and then as a side, mention 100 miles beyond Austin.

App freezes while scrolling new titles or reading articles

Good news info. CBSAustinNews needs work. It freezes while you scroll then resumes scrolling after 30 seconds.

Have the current version of CBSAustinNews . Re-downloaded it no help.

Still no iPhone X version?

Seriously guys, it takes less than an hour to update an app for iPhone X.

Ok on iPhone10

CBSAustinNews works just fine on iPhone 10. I don’t really care for the organization. It seems like you have to just scroll on and on to find things and when you do find them most of the time it just redirects you to the webpage which begs the question, why CBSAustinNews ?

Needs work.

It does not keep a history of videos. You can't go back and watch the previous days' videos.

No news

The newest two updates don’t work on my phone. iPhone 6 with iOS 12.
Touching CBSAustinNews just leads back to my home screen.

Crashes

Looks good on first launch after download. Every subsequent launch crashes CBSAustinNews . Deleted and downloaded again with same result.
Update Jan 15: New update fixed the crash problem. Nice app, if a bit cluttered.

Cool!!

Nice App. It's keeps me updated on what's going on around me!!
I love it, thanks guys!!
Keep up the good work!!

Moe.

Great ap

Works great. I would recommend it can broadcast on chrome cast and other streaming device .. Would come in handy when no cable and don't want to mess with them rabbit ears

No audio

I have deleted and reinstalled several times. Still no audio. Zero stars
