Contact Easy Backup Support

Updating to the latest version of Easy Backup automatically changes the account being backed up from your iCloud Contacts to CardDav, and there’s no longer any way to point it back to your iCloud. CardDav does not have all of the iCloud Contacts. So your backups are screwed. That’s a big problem.

I had used the Easy Backup app for a few years and loved it. I upgraded to the pro version couple of years ago to use the cloud features to have access to my backed up contacts from more than 1 device. I backed up my contacts on Oct 31, 2017 and the app found and backed up all of my 419 iCloud contacts. After updating to the latest version of Easy Backup which changes to the account it’s backing up to CardDav Contacts the app only finds 308 of my contacts.

I have sent 2 messages to Easy Backup support but haven’t received a response other than their automated one.

I had Easy Backup Pro, but it stopped working. I tried to contact Support on my app, but there is no response, so I went to the App Store on my iPhone and re-downloaded the original (non-Pro) version. But now I can’t log in and I can’t create a new account. I PAID FOR THIS APP AND CAN’T USE IT OR GET ANY HELP!! What is going on???? If you can’t fix it, give me a refund!!

Update: I tried to restore my purchase for this app. It didn’t work, but a pop-up box said to hit “Buy” and my previous pro version would be restored and I would NOT be charged a second time. Wrong!!! My credit card was charged a second time and the app STILL doesn’t work. WARNING: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK APP. I am out two payments for the worthless pro version and there is no response from the Support emails and in-app messages I’ve sent. This app is a rip-off!!!!!!!

The description says you can export to excel, but it’s a lie... even when you upgrade to premium. All it exports is is vcf format (v-card) which only adds the contacts to outlook, gmail, or similar mail program. The ability change format to CSV does not exist, even though the app description clearly states it is. It’s not just a sneaky ploy, it’s outright lying to the customer. I’m not alone, look at forum FAQ discussions (accessible within the app, under the “support” link. Search the forums for the word “excel” and you’ll see everyone else who feels ripped off by these liars. Avoid this app at all costs. It’s a scam and they end up with all your contacts, which they probably sell to Russia.
