This site has gone from being my favorite place to get local news, to a site I no longer even visit. In their desperation, they are trying to force you to a login in which you have to agree to having your information sold. And yet, you also get all the requisite ads.
It is a sad state of affairs when the BG is the more palatable site

I have tried several times to cancel my subscription without any success. Every time I call I’m number 14 in the cue? Once after waiting a good 30 minutes, when I got to a live person, the person said I was breaking up and couldn’t understand me. I enjoy your newspaper, but because of financial concerns, wish to cancel at this time. If Congress ever gets it’s act together around the Stimulus, I could re-subscribe! Help??? I like reading the “real” version on the paper and I like BostonHeraldEEdition a lot. But it has an annoying habit of completely closing and re-opening while I’m in the middle of an article. They need to fix that. Also the Sunday comics are often in low res graphics which makes it difficult to expand and read. Bot overall it’s a good app.

BostonHeraldEEdition is much improved. My only complaint is that when I am reading it on my phone or iPad and want to enlarge the page the left margin is not clear. But otherwise, is easy to use.

Would prefer to have the Herald app’s content configured to be readable on a smart phone, rather than just include photos of the actual newspaper which have to be zoomed in on to read.

Very easy to navigate, good layout of the paper with ability to increase size of article, excellent for iPad, once in a while last few pages don’t download and don’t appear until well after I’ve read the paper, but I enjoy reading the paper in this fashion.

Hopefully the Herald will realize the trend is reading on line and more money to be made than print editions, especially the next generation of readers. They need to continue to upgrade the on line edition.. It’s getting there.

I find the coverage of the Herald as simple and clear as any source available today with a slant toward the topics that have always been part of life in the Boston area. Examples are, ineffective and wasteful state government, corrupt police, firemen who can’t put out a fire, teachers union that is self serving and well connected to Beacon Hill, transit workers making six figures, underfunded public pension plans, decaying infrastructure, the merry-go-round of criminal enterprise, our children falling further behind on the world stage, widening economic gap, racial tension, etc.
So many stories to write.
Keep up the good word.

I have been reading the Herald since I was a kid in the fifties.
I think it was the Record American. I also delivered it growing up in
Lynnfield. Getting it on line living in Florida, is a lot bettah than reading the Tampa papah.

Boston needs this type of reporting as The Herald covers stories the “other paper” doesn’t want you to know about!

I did not think I would like BostonHeraldEEdition , I purchased it to keep out of the store during the pandemic. BostonHeraldEEdition is exactly like the paper. Great job 👏

I have been using my Ipad to read this for years, easy to read, cost effective, and it’s right here every morning. Very convenient for this Disabled veteran.

Love using BostonHeraldEEdition. It’s just like reading the paper. A great way to keep up on favorite Boston teams from out of town!
by Thebirol
The Herald provides an important dose of balance to a very liberal focused Boston Globe. For anyone endeavoring to know what is happening that the Globe refuses to report on must read the Herald. Beyond that, the sports section is the best in the business.

App works wonderfully. Downloads quickly. Easy to find articles.
Still enjoy holding and reading the printed edition but this is sometimes easier on the go.

Works and functions properly 99% of the time. I’ve had very few problems and like the browse feature, which lets you turn the page like a real newspaper.

Love having the chance to read the Herald every morning with my coffee....I don’t have to wait for delivery...can read it from 4 am on if I am awake earlier than usual. Also enjoy the columnists and articles...spot on.

Great layout over entire publication for presentation of all text. Good coverage of all news and sports!
A paper with subsistence that takes more than 4 minutes to read entire issue, unlike my local paper!!!
by BTCAC5
I thoroughly enjoy getting my news fix conveniently, succinctly and honestly every morning now...the price is reasonable and worth every penny...and I love getting an actual Sunday paper with the circulars...and the sports section is terrific!

We switched over to the online version and it’s great. Layout and content come across perfectly and we couldn’t be happier.
Way to go Herald!

Terrible. Want to support your paper but your website is so frustrating to use. FIX THIS.
by Steeljpd
No apparent way to reset password or username when forgotten. This should be a basic reset capability

BostonHeraldEEdition used to be good but now I have to UNINSTALL and REINSTALL every single day. Support was less than helpful.
by WChrisP
Can’t expand on the title. Yet I still refuse to subscribe to the Boston Globe.

BostonHeraldEEdition continues to be junk. Now it just hangs forever. I have been a herald subscriber one way or another for over 30 years. Time to cancel.

The prior version before September 2018 worked fine but now it won’t give me access to paper after I log in. Boston Herald customer service is WORTHLESS.
by PowerBookMac
Won't let me log in on a new iPad after having logged out on an old one, and the error message says only "Too Many Activations" ... Whoever is in charge, tell your developers to be more helpful
by Irishmkm
Will not let me log on. Asks for duplicate payment every time I log on despite being paid up. Poor design and functionality. I am done with this until they get serious about serving customers better
by Racote
The Herald App for years was one of the most solid and reliable. Now, with the current version, it’s a cr@p shoot if you’ll get your morning read before noon. And that’s usually after a call to customer service.
The customer service people at the Herald are nice, but it would be more convenient to go to the local library and read the paper.
by RoskoBeats
My dad and I used to enjoy the e-editio very much, but now on iOS 7 we can't even get the library to load nevermind the fact that there's nowhere to write to for support. Totally broken, apple should yank BostonHeraldEEdition.

Setting for "remove issues after" x days no longer works. Have deleted app and reinstalled app. Still not working.
