ACT Photo Reviews

So I have an IPhone. To be able to register for the ACT, I had to download ACTPhoto so I could upload my picture. I had a friend take a few of me, went home to upload my photo. It clearly says that you can either take a picture, or upload one from your camera roll.
WRONG! You can only take a picture, not choose one from the camera! Um and a selfie won’t work. So being that I was by myself, I could not upload the photo on my camera. Just a heads up for anyone else out there.

ACTPhoto does not work at all for me. It doesn’t give me an option to upload photos or to even take them. As someone who works in a school system and is trying to sign up multiple kids for the ACT/upload their photos, this is a very big issue for me. I can’t understand why ACT can’t resolve these issues and provide an actual functioning app, especially since you can no longer upload to their website 🙃

You can’t upload a picture from your camera roll in ACTPhoto , even though ACTPhoto says you can! I l’ve been trying to upload my picture for the past 20 min. but the site also says it’s down, without any prior warning! It has dates to when the site will be down and right now it isn’t within the timeframe. The SAT is WAYYYYYY easier to upload your photo. This is so frustrating.

Click settings, scroll down to ACT Photo app and tap on it, click the slider to allow ACTPhoto to access camera. Now ACTPhoto will work as programmed. Hopefully I have spared you some lost hair over using ACTPhoto. 🤙 Also you need to be patient; It takes a minute or two for it to upload. If you stop it you will have to take another photograph.

I don't know why so many people had issues with ACTPhoto, but I found it was very easy to use and a quick way to take and upload a pic.

ACTPhoto is awful. It’s bad enough that I can’t upload a picture directly into my account on the website, but instead I had to download ACTPhoto. But then I can’t even upload a picture from my photo library into ACTPhoto ! Nothing like giving students and parents more things to create anxiety in the college testing and search process!

You made an app. Just for people to upload pictures. So you can keep a data farm. Government interference in college is making a mess of the system. And these people running the tests just wanna milk the profit. You’re not helping the poor kids by making it hard for them to even do these expensive tests.

This is the WORST freaking app ever. It does not work. It doesn’t let you use a picture you already have and it won’t upload the selfie you have to take. Keeps saying network error. There has to be a better way. I would give negative stars if I could. Ridiculous.

There seems to be a problem with ACTPhoto . When I go in to upload a photo it skips over the photo taking part & immediately goes to the screen saying no photo was uploaded, log out. And my photo deadline is coming up.

ACTPhoto worked well and was very straight forward

ACTPhoto is a waste of space on my phone with the purpose for it is setting a profile picture for your account. This could have been done on the website saving time and space for everyone.

There’s nothing wrong with ACTPhoto , but the fact that I need to download it to upload my photo is annoying and unnecessary.

The process to register for the ACT online is awful. The website is awful. And you have to download ACTPhoto to take one picture. It makes you wonder how accurate the testing and score process really is.

We’re unable to use a preexsisting photo there’s only the option to take a selfie! Also, when we select “take picture” it just goes to the next screen and says no photo submitted! Ugh!!!!!!!!

If you are going to download ACTPhoto don’t it’s a waste of time. All it let’s you do is take a selfie of yourself that’s it you CAN’T print your TICKET. You have to do it on your computer. So avoid the hassle and just do it on your computer.
