PhotoStudy - Live Study Help Reviews

The idea of PhotoStudy is really awesome and I love the new update where you pay $24 for unlimited problems. Here’s the issue though. I do school online and sometimes I take timed tests. When I’m struggling with a problem I use got it to help me solve it except constantly and I mean all the time I send in my problem and 20 minutes later they say “sorry your problem was not explained please submit it again” because some annoying tutor couldn’t answer it or was having connectivity issues. I can’t spend 20 plus minutes waiting for someone to help me. Not only that but I’ll send in perfectly clear pictures of the problem and they say “oops we can’t see it take a clearer picture please” THE PICTURE COULDNT GET ANY CLEARER. I’m begging PhotoStudy to fix these kinks or I will stop using it. I’ve spent a lot of my own money on PhotoStudy and I will put that money towards a different app if things don’t change soon. I don’t recommend people download PhotoStudy unless you have all the time in the world to get help for one problem but keep in mind you may not even get help on the problem.

PhotoStudy itself is great and pretty straight forward. Some of the professionals take their sweet time getting back to you though or give you the answer without explaining how to get there on your own. I understand that math in particular can be pretty hard to describe via text but I wish they gave just a tad more time. I feel like I don't get an answer until 7 minutes in and then when they start to break it down, time is up and they want you to pay again. Hopefully this imoroves. I'd love it if they could leave you some kind of helpful resource on the topic at hand once the chat is over. If I don't fully understand it in the chat and that's all I have to reference later, I won't fully understand it later either.

Honestly, as other people may say, I would also review this as 0 stars if possible. I had a bad session and it didn’t let me review it in order to get a refund that it would usually offer. The worker who tried to teach kinda just took my money without helping me and just told the basics of the problem that I already know and it led to nowhere. He/she didn’t find the answer and nor did I. So I was going to rate it as a bad session but it didn’t give me the chance to review him/her. PhotoStudy took my money and I’m frustrated that my purchase was not fulfilled. PhotoStudy also has overpriced sessions that would cost so much just to solve one problem. The time limit for the questions are too short so the people who try to teach others don’t have enough time and the student and the tutor never get anywhere. Overall, PhotoStudy isn’t as helpful as you think and people who try to teach can only answer simple problems. Sorry, but just don’t get PhotoStudy.

I got PhotoStudy needing help with homework and I have to pay $1 for a single math problem and my homework was 50 questions of stuff I didn’t even underdstans ... if u think im going to spend $50 on PhotoStudy then u lost u mind .. don’t download unless ur really rich .. and that’s not all the one problem that I paid for the so called “expert “ to do they got it wrong so why would I spend $50 just to get my whole math worksheet wrong .. I think I might be able to deal with it if PhotoStudy was free .. but I found PhotoStudy that’s actually free called “ Photomath” that I don’t even have to pay for and it actually gets questions right and ITS FREE u can actually get a math worksheet done without having to pay $100 I swear this is a scam like I get it u have to make money but the least you could do if give people like 10 free problems a day and have them pay for the rest cuz some people don’t have a $100 to have help with 1 worksheet they don’t understand like what a rip off I’m going back to photo math

I loved having a math app that actually helped you work on specific problems and an actual tutor to guide you through it! But unfortunately that slowly got messed cause of PhotoStudy , I used to get a free session everyday which was awesome because I don’t have much money to spend. Especially with college, I should be saving my money and I can’t really be spending so much, so I think it’s great that I could get a free session! But they stopped giving them out, which is a bummer :(. But this wasn’t the problem, I paid for a session because I really needed help with a math problem. First off the solution for the problem didn’t include a step in the problem. The tutor completely skipped over a necessary part of the problem and when I asked about it, they ignored it and repeated information i already knew, I tried getting a new session but that didn’t work? Really disappointed because I wasted money that could have been used for something else

Hi, The feature PhotoStudy had was just amazing.

But it is removed now, the feature was that each device gets 1 free session. That feature was amazing, you guys had it. But u guys just removed it couple of days ago. Please add it back, it was a great way to explore PhotoStudy . The Microsoft partner site is really slow, this app is fast. So please add this feature ASAP again to get one free session per device as you guys did previously I think a week ago. After u sign up on a account, it gives u one free feature. But now it’s not. Please fix it and make it back to old this app we love! Microsoft service is not recommended! Too slow! Thank you for your time! Please make these changes fast!

I am attending Engineering school and PhotoStudy. has definitely helped me obtain a better understanding in reference to the numerous dynamics of General Engineering. It has also even further educated me in calculating Specific Gravity, density (rho), and many other even more detailed Engineering applications.

It has even allowed me to gain a better understanding of Chemistry and my Mathematics.
I do however wish there were more ways to obtain free in-app. purchases.
I understand nothing is free but I am also a Father of two in his early 30’s trying to put myself through Engineering school, raise children, and we all know the story. Yes, it’s a struggle, so that would be my only hold back from voting 5 stars instead of 4.

Overall, I truly enjoy PhotoStudy . and I am very thankful I found it. I believe it can and will continue to grow and help many others present and future.

I had been struggling with a hard inductive proof in Discrete Structures for probably 2-3 hours before I tried PhotoStudy. I had one initial session that didn’t successfully connect but boy am I glad I stuck with it, the expert I got paired with was knowledgeable, clear, concise and solved the problem almost immediately. I was blown away. I immediately bought a few extra sessions and plan to use this the next time I’m unclear about how to approach a proof. My point in this review is that this isn’t just a useful app for high schoolers struggling with algebra or calculus but also for college students in upper division mathematics or computer science. Thank you!

Okay, I would use PhotoStudy all the time man! I loved how the experts would explain answers and for free once everyday. But now u have to pay for every problem?! I don’t get why you changed PhotoStudy and made it look so money hungry. I don’t recommend unless you have the money to just pay 30$ just for a sheet of homework. And some experts don’t even have the right answers you might as well get Brainly. I think you should have ads to watch for 1 answer from an expert or something. I’d rather watch ads then put 30$ into an app for homework help. (Put two stars for all the answers I got back when you didn’t have to pay for everything.) Gonna delete. I don’t use it anymore:)) << That’s a double chin hehe.

Recently, there is something wrong with PhotoStudy . I post my question and find for an expert, it asked me if I agree to not share any personal information. I chose 'yes' and then waiting really long without any response from the expert. Finally a 'slice' pop up and says the expert have a conectivity issue. It does not happens once but 6-7 times and I still have not recieved a solution to my quiz for almost 2 days. At some other times (twice) an expert took my quiz and says my photo is not clear! (While acutally the photo was so clear that I can even see some dust on it!) I don't know if my quiz was that hard so they keep reasoning or because of PhotoStudy . Deadline is coming and I desperately need a solution for the quiz.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Before, PhotoStudy was wonderful and anybody could use it. You didn't have to pay unless you needed to buy more credits. But now they have become thieves and just want to get as much money as possible. You can't even have a session without paying. $1 a problem? Are you serious? That's stupid expensive. Even before changing it and getting rid of he credits, they made it even harder for you to earn credits. You could only buy them so it still just worked on money. A few years ago, when it was newer, I was very satisfied with PhotoStudy and it's help. Now they're just trying to steal your money. Do yourself a favor and don't install it. You can't use it without buying a session for $1.

PhotoStudy would honestly skyrocketed if it werent for a couple of things. First, how long it takes to answer a question. Even when you just want to double check your answer, it takes a long time. Second, tutors rejecting sessions due to “unclear image” when the image is crystal clear. Third, sometimes problems dont get solved even if you exceed you 10 min limit. So you’re left hanging after 20 mins. PhotoStudy just needs a lot of upgrade because it has a lot of potential to be better. Also one session is $3.99 which is honestly crazy to me. You’re trying to get your money’s worth since you spent so much on it.

I do public school, and when I come asking for help I have to pay to get a session. I love the setup and Everything but I’m looking for steps to do a problem that I can’t solve. My teachers don’t always look at their email!!!!! When I need help, I need help. But instead I have to wait until all my “credits” add up so I can get a “session”. It’s 10 minutes, if I had the equation it would take me less time to do so. Not to mention that the way you solve your equations in Geometry is completely complicated and hard to replicate on another problem. I would love PhotoStudy if it actually allowed me to get the help I needed, instead of leaving me high and dry showing me severely complicated ways to solve a math problem that cannot be replicated.

I never go out of my way to rate an app but this is just so phenomenal, I figured I just had to. PhotoStudy is amazing. Whoever thought about this is a genius and should immediately be given an award. The experts are exactly are indeed experts: helpful, experienced, and they really know their stuff. It’s kind that they can take their time to help people like me out. I understand everything fully after they’re done explaining. I learned more in just seven minutes than I ever did sitting in a classroom.

I got PhotoStudy last minute before a final and had 30 questions due in the morning and I logged in and all I had to do was take a picture of my problem and then it instantly found me an expert to help me. In less than 10 minutes it helped me figure it out. It asked if I understood and if not it reexplained and helped and slowed down. It showed me step by step how to solve my problem. I remembered exactly how to do it with PhotoStudy and now I’m not even worried about my test.

I was struggling with math on my computer and I had a terrible grade in that class. I started using PhotoStudy and I was doubting it. I regret that now and I promise this isn’t a joke, they use a free bot so you don’t have to pay to get free help with your homework! It’s fast when you don’t choose expert so I choose the bot every time. It only takes a few minutes out of my time and this is an app I’ve been looking for, for years. I wish I would’ve known about PhotoStudy last year!! 💗

PhotoStudy helps me a lot especially with math, if you need help on math homework this is the perfect app. They help you with a problem that you have and explain very well. However, paying $3.99 for one single session for 10 minutes is very overpriced especially if I don’t understand various questions in one day, I think there should be a monthly subscription I order to get the help we need more often, overall PhotoStudy is a great idea and can be very helpful!

I was testing out PhotoStudy so I put in a problem that I already had the answer to. The “expert” gave a totally wrong answer so I called him out. He started arguing with more about how he was correct. I told him the answer was 2 but he started giving a long explanation like we weren’t looking at the same problem. End of story these experts are fake and can’t even answer simple math questions. It’s sad. Shaking my head🤦🏽‍♀️.

PhotoStudy has helped me a lot academically, especially in subjects like Physics and Geometry. Whether I know how to solve a problem and just want to double check my answers or have no idea what to do, this app has always been there to help in my time of need. The tutors explain more than the teachers at my school and I actually get a better understanding from them. PhotoStudy is truly a blessing.

I have been using PhotoStudy for a while now but recently it’s been letting me down. I have been trying to get work done but I keep getting this message “connectivity issue” I don’t think there is anything wrong because it’s worked good every other time. And when I reached out for help they did not help at all. I waited 2 days for a respond and the response they gave me was the same as the other “it appears your having connectivity problems” PhotoStudy use to be better but then it updated and lost all its quality. But if you are looking to only solve 1 problem it’s good for that.

It really does help, If you tell them to keep it simple its really easy to understand. Theres a real person so any questions you have you get direct answers to. Somtimes I have more than question a day and its really annoyinh when I need help and I have no more stupid sessions. I think if they really wanna help you, you shouldnt have to pay to have more than one or two sessions a day. Overall its like a 8/10, Not bad at all.
