New Format

by Tryptophant
New formatting is useless for my needs. Don't want to have to scroll through every update for every feed I track in order to find specific updates from a category.

Come On, when you offer an iPad app donβt limit the view to vertical!

I donβt get da notification thing cuz I donβt ever get badge notifications even though itβs turned on
Latest updates improved the look but lost full text retrieval. Now need to follow links to full text. Finding myself using this less & less. Please bring back full text retrieval.
Missing Features

I love the simplicity of this reader. The OPML import works great. However, I can't find any way to add feeds or categories now that my original import is loaded. I can't change basic settings like how many articles to store for each feed.
Should be a paid app

RSS obviates the long-unnecessary, centralized server portion of the this app reader package. Why funnel all of your attention data through any one organization? No need to create any user accounts or sign-in to yet another fly-by-night service (worth one star by itself!) with RSS.
I'd like to see them add iCloud sync so that an iPad version (another thing I'd like to see) gets updated with read articles.
Best so far

this app is supposed to be simple -- plain text, no fancy fonts, no fixed widths. this app Mobile accomplishes that. You can import OPML, so there's no need to sync with Google. The developer's site says that groups are a possibility in a future release. If that happens, RSS will merit a fifth star.
Great App, Does What it Needs to

I got RSS mainly because I wanted to import my this app feeds through OPML and it work seemlessly.
I notice one bug however, when importing an OPML export from a this app reader such as Bamboo for Firefox, the feed categories get imported into RSS , but the this app feeds don't. It ends up being just a list of empty categories. Had to use another PC this app reader app to export/import/export/import so that I can get an OPML file without categories.
Works well with almost no frills or complaints. The export feeds function doesn't seem to have an easy way to set the email, but one can export from iTunes just as well, and I might be missing something. The occasional weird this app schedules can generally be attributed to sites themselves and are trivial to deal with using the clear function. Has everything I've needed with no cruft c:

I use RSS for webcomic this app feeds. RSS works great for that. There are no ads, no locked premium features, and there's no feature bloat.
Thank you for making RSS.

I donβt think I can ever believe that this app apps are paid! And this one is free, so works great for me. Thanks for doing this! I certainly can be made better, but Iβm sure it takes a lot of effort.

Itβs an excellent this app reader that does precisely what an this app reader needs to do. Thank you for implementing a lightweight, functional, ad-free app!
Finally, a REAL RSS reader.

RSS does *exactly* what an this app reader is SUPPOSED to do. It's not like any of those fancy "readers" that just shove a whole bunch of curated content that you don't care about in your face (you know which ones I'm talking about). You import your this app feeds of choice, it fetches them, end of story. As someone who is currently trying to migrate from the dinosaur that is Opera Mail, this is an absolute godsend. (By the way, importing from Opera worked flawlessly! Thank you for implementing OPML *correctly*!)
My only criticisms are that RSS doesn't integrate with Safari to fetch this app URLs from sites that offer them, which would be enormously helpful, but probably difficult to implement, and there are quite a few spelling mistakes in the interface (I'm assuming the developer's first language is not English).
Best rss reader ever

Nice update. The browser is a good bonus.
All I was looking for was a really simple syndication reader and all I could find we're Feedly type products. This is small and simple and has the ability to add a feed that you found and not some feed that was suggested.
I am so happy developers like this still exist. They have some core values that do not jump on the bandwagon with an in-app purchase or subscription model. Apps in the beginning were like this one, refreshing to see an app like this still exist. The simplicity of not relying on 3rd party web services when not neededβ¦.well done. This is a true native this app app. They also value user privacy as well with not collecting user details. It is a fine line to balance and earn income. Maybe accept donations via crypto.
A hidden App Store gem

I spent a couple of hours looking for a simple this app app that did the following:
- Not too expensive - Didn't require hooking into an external syncing service - Imports OPML files - Allowed me to read this app content with a minimum of fuss
If there was an option to purchase at a reasonable price I would have already paid.
Compared with apps that try to grab your attention with fancy UI but lack substance and usability, the uncluttered interface gets out of your way and the notification of unread feed items effectively grabs your attention without being overbearing.
Simple, elegant, does what I need
