Fire Danger Outdoors Status

Using the GPS function on your iPhone or iPad device, FireDangerOutdoors presents the current fire danger forecast for your location.  You can view different types of forecasts in the map such as the risk of forest fires spreading, fuel dryness and grass fire danger.  FireDangerOutdoors helps you be aware of the fire danger in forests and on open ground, and is particularly useful during the spring and summer.  It provides information and advice to help you reduce your risk of causing a grass or forest fire, for example if you intend to light a fire or have a barbecue.  You can view the danger class for every hour over the next 48 hours, as well as a fire danger value for the following five days.  Fire danger data is gathered from the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI).  Brandrisk Ute also contains videos, FAQs and information about safer ways to light a fire in forests and on open ground.  You can also search for the fire danger in other locations and save locations as Favourites.  The fire danger forecast is updated every hour.  Fire danger varies from place to place, and the weather can change quickly.  You can also find the fire danger forecasts at msb. se.  Pay extra attention to the wind and never light a fire or barbecue when there are strong winds.  So check fire ban function in FireDangerOutdoors before you light a fire.  Brandrisk Ute (Fire Danger Outdoors) is an app from the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency aimed at private individuals.  There may be a local fire ban in force at your location.  FireDangerOutdoors has been developed for iOS.
