Pathetic

Junk app....signed into my account and tried to renew subscription. I get an Internal Server Error message every time. In addition, I tried to update the mailing address on my account AGAIN, but PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS says my correct address is on already on file--then when I check my profile, it still has the old wrong address. PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS is a waste of time.
Update...every time there is a new issue, PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS wants me to buy it or subscribe. I DID SUBSCRIBE AND PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS SHOWS ME SIGNED IN! PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS is utter trash. Dont waste your time or money.
Disappointing.

We have subscribed to PCWorld for many years and looked forward to the digital version. After many attempts all we are able to access is the first four pages of an issue from a month or two ago. The new cover is shown in PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS Store but it doesn't work. I originally entered the subscriber info. That all seemed ok, but there is no magazine. Of course, the last issue is long gone so any id from the label is gone, too, and unavailable if we should be asked for it again. Too bad.
My library gone

This update wiped out my old issues. Did what the support recommend but old issues are not returned.
Do not update this app

Update wipes out library and does not restore old versions.
Just received my last print edition of PC World, so I thought I would give the digital a try. I read other digital publications and some of these are well done. Sadly, this is not one of them. To start with, it is very slow to download, even on a fast internet connection, and is a resource hog. Don't even think about doing anything or running any other programs while this pig is running. Second big issue, you cannot read in landscape orientation, vertical only. So, if a user like me used a keyboard case for their iPad, they have to take the iPad out to read this crummy application, or turn their head 90 degrees. I tried this and got a headache. I tried to access the PC edition, and the web site at Zinio does not work. Sigh. The editors can slather all of the lipstick they want onto this Pig, but in the end it is still a Pig. Sorry to see a good publication go, but I am canceling my subscription and getting my money back. The editors at PC World do not deserve my money or loyalty any longer, they have screwed their loyal customer base for the sake of additional profits. Bye Bye PC World.

A new issue comes out and downloading it is ridiculous process. It really wasn't worth the effort when you consider all the excellent resources on the Web.
I never received all the issues I paid for and the Super Guides that were offered during the subscription couldNot be downloaded as instructed.
Poor customer service as I never received a response on any of my inquiries but apparently they were listening as I found that they had cancelled my account.
Unreliable, unpredictable and Unacceptable

When this publisher switched from print to digital several years ago, it seems to some of us that they jumped without looking. PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS was poor quality from the start and apparently hasnโt gotten much better, In fairness it has occasionally had moments where PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS has worked, but once again, it fails to work at all. I could list a lot of issues, but it all boils down to the fact that a technical publisher canโt seem to get their own technical act together to design a predictable, reliable app to service their paying customers. Hey, PCWorldโyou guys listening? What are you doing to earn the loyalty of your customers?? Do you even care??
Pretty Lame for Software Mag to Break App
2022-12-30
by Likes Old Time Radio
I like this magazine, and I liked it more when I got it in the mail. I've learned to live with the digital copy on my iPad ... until PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS broke! Now it will not download new issues. There is a work around reported about deleting the "token" in Settings, deleting PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS , reinstalling PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS , and logging into the PC World. A software magazine/publisher should pay attention to customers, reviewers, and (most importantly!) to the quality of their app. One star for "lameness."
Awful. Just awful.

I was an avid reader of the print magazine, but ever since it went digital it has been frustrating and infuriating. PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS is even harder to navigate than some of the ZINIO predecessors, plus it never remembers my subscription, loses previously downloaded issues so they canโt be read offline. Altogether awful.
Youโd think the digital version - now the Only. version - of a computer magazine would be the best of the best, nut this sure isnโt. Iโll miss the content, but Unless it gets a lot better fast, it just isnโt worth renewing.
MacWorld, which I also loved in print, is even worse. A real disappointment.
App opens but then crashes within 5 seconds with iOS 11.4.1 update. It worked in the previous iOS version. Other issues since the move to the new app: You have to be patient (30 seconds) for PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS to login to your account to check if there are new subscriptions - there is no user feedback that this is happening. The new app doesnโt remember your last read page so you have to go hunting for the last page and hope that you remembered it correctly. My subscription ends soon. I think Iโm just going to go ahead and let it lapse.
The Worst App Ever

Donโt use PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS, it is one of the worst app everโฆ They upgraded PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS and removed all my library I tried to restore my purchase several times without any luck
This is a terrible App (period).
No digital version for print subscribers

Ditto the other comment. I have a print subscription but they make you pay for digital version. They can at least make an incentive for print subscriber by paying a few bucks extra for the digital IF the digital version contain more media. Take a look at some excellent examples of print/digital done right: Motortrend, ConsumerReports, and Business Week... They give away the digital version to print subscribers + the digital version has multimedia extras embedded. Makes me want to continue to be their subscriber.
Crashes while reading, loses position

PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS consistently crashes within a minute or two even without touching my iPad (running iOS 12.1.4). This can happen several times while reading a single article and it is even more annoying that PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS does not remember where you were so you start back at the front cover.
It is also annoying to be asked if you want to restore purchases every time you start PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS .
I would expect a much better experience from a computer magazine.
Digital Subscription app no longer works on iPad
2023-07-06
by Fast391
Possibly since last update, I am no longer able to access my digital subscription to PC World. I am bounced right back to the Newstand on my iPad. Don't waste your money with this subscription or app until this serious issue is resolved. You get nothing right now for your money. Is PC World even aware of this issue or even care? Don't know. I know others have this same issue happening to them. UPDATE: The workaround being reported by other subscribers here has worked for me.
I have subscribed to PCWorld for many years. I could not understand why PCWorld would not give a digital version to their subscribers. So many others do that....National Geographic, Entertainment Weekly.
I was excited to see this finally available on the iPad. My excitement is short lived though.
Would expect better from a tech magazine....app straight up does not work right. After the initial installation, PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS logs you out of your account and won't let you log back in. If you try the "Check to see if you have the latest app"....it sends me to Google Play.
WRONG STORE pcworld.....I Cannot believe they can't get that right.
As of now, there is no way to access my account from my iPad. No way to get my current issue.
I wish I could rate this as zero stars.
Not so hot

OK. I read all the one star reviews and agree with a lot of them. It seems instead of doing a complete reformat to use the advantages of (in my case) the iPad, all that's been done was to move the print version verbatim over - full page ads and all. The magazine is readable but it is dull reading here.
And it is slow loading and a memory hog. You need to devise your own format instead of using a ready made one. I'm hoping this is only a tentative step into the digital magazine world. My subscription runs to Jan. '14 - we'll see what happens in the interim.

Easily accessed and great to have. No more unread magazines in a "want to read" pile, and I can bookmark and come back to anything I want. Thanks for going digital! All the previous issues are available too!

Where did all my issues go? Where is the my account button? It worked fine until recent update. I would have given it a five a month ago. Please fix
***Thanks for the fix. I can now access my account button. Upgraded rating from 1 to 5. Works as advertised.
I was so pleased to see that this was finally available for print subscribers! Since I already pay for it in print, I couldn't justify buying it in digital also.
But, I just downloaded PCWorldDigitalMagazineUS a few days ago, and signed in with my account and have been downloading and enjoying past issues! The graphics are really sharp and clear on the Retina display. Great app!
It's...Ok...

While it is adequate as an online publication. I really would like to see a zoom feature, or at least the ability to increase text sizes. The option to view in either portrait or landscape would be better, as well. So, devs... Pinch Zoom Scroll and Rotate, please!
