SimpleMoon provides a simple, elegant view of one thing: the moon phase and illumination for today (or any day you choose).
Use the calendar icon at the bottom to choose what date you want to see the moon view and illumination.
SimpleMoon also shows you when the next full moon and new moon will occur from the "Today" view.
SimpleMoon uses advanced mathematical calculations to determine the moon data for that day.
Did you know that the moon looks different depending on which hemisphere of the earth you are in? Go to Settings and pick which hemisphere you are in, and you will see the moon as it appears to you in the sky.

This is a “good” app, but what would make it “great” would be the ability to drag your finger across the screen to scroll forward and backwards through time. Also a nice touch would be if SimpleMoon icon showed the current moon phase.

I'm using this as I homeschool my preschooler. We are keeping track of the moon's phases. My preschooler enjoys checking SimpleMoon every day to find out which moon card to stick onto our wall. I love SimpleMoon. But it has one flaw that I don't like. It doesn't have much of any thing on it. It only has the % the kind of moon it is and when the next full and new moon is. I mean it's ok and I don't want to be picky but I just don't like this feature. I hope you liked this review.

I wouldn't waste your time if I were you. I triple checked and found out that the phases are NOT accurate. For example it could say Friday is a full moon when it's really a first quarter moon.
