abcNotes - Sticky Note Madness Reviews

I have used abcNotes for years, sometimes wandering away looking for the “perfect” such app but always returning here. The most important thing to me is being able to see all of the entries in one note without having to open that note — allows me to work through my task list quickly when I am running errands. I do a very abbreviated version of a bullet journal here because it is easy to see/modify my info, and it is hard to lose track of things once they are entered here! abcNotes is fast and easy to use and keeps me organized better than anything else I have tried over the years — thank you for this 5-star app!

Amen to every other 5-star review; no point in giving the same praise over and over. ;-)

I do have one slight quibble, having to do with the placement of the badge. I had enlarged the type to make it more readable, but then the badge covered up some of the text. I then had to make the text smaller. I suggest being able to a) move the badge where I want it, such as at the top of the note; b) enlarge the note, widening it so that the badge wouldn’t interfere with the text; or c) having the lines of text that the badge interferes with wrap in front of the badge the way you can do with a photo in Microsoft Word.

In spite of the preceding lo-o-ong paragraph, the badge problem is minor, and abcNotes is great. I particularly like the option of different desktops as a means of categorizing notes.

Also, in response to McCoy27 and his syncing problem, I have never had difficulty going from my iPhone to my iPad and back again. As soon as I open up abcNotes , a graphic appears saying Synchronized.

This is my go-to app for managing lists. It’s so simple and intuitive to use, yet being able to change backgrounds, fonts and styles, as well as having several desktops to switch between makes it ultra flexible. I loved the free one enough to pay for the upgrade, which is unusual for me, and they were classy enough to leave the free one in place, so I use it for my home lists, and the paid one for my work lists. Both of them have moved with me to each new iPad for several years now. I really have no complaints at all. It does everything I need it to do, and is fun to use.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I like visual to-do lists and am motivated by colors and fun designs. The variety available for customizing my lists is perfect for the 101 different things I’m currently juggling, yet it’s also quick to set up, so I don’t end up spending more time creating my lists than doing the actual projects! I also like sticky notes and think it’s really satisfying to delete the notes and reveal the desktop underneath as I accomplish things. Great job and thank you for reading my mind!

Let me just say this is a great app. I liked it enough to pay the $2.99. I wanted to for several reasons, but the main and most important reason is to sync between my iPad and iPhone. Guess what? Does not happen! I emailed them to see ifI missed something, but zero response. Then searching online, I saw where it says no iPad to iPhone synchronization. So angry. Wish I could get my money back! It would be a definite five star if I could sync between iPhone and iPad. Even in description it says full version syncs between iOS devices. I can sync between my iPod and iPhone, so what's up with the iPad?!? And what's up with the complete silence with the developers. Ugh.

I have used abcNotes for a couple of years. I like being able to change the background, fonts, color of the note etc. It works extremely well as my daily “to do” list.

Updated December 2018. abcNotes is one of my most often used but after the last iPad update it constantly crashes.

Really like abcNotes. I have the free version and would consider the paid version but am reluctant to purchase due to constant crashes.

I was always a single list kinda girl, but I love how easy it is to navigate between lists and create distinctive screens for each! It adds a while level of organization that I was missing.

I do wish that I could write notes with my iPad's pencil, and that I could delete extra screens. I also kind of wish there was an integration so that the notes could be my home screen, instead of an app I have to open. But these are minor quibbles compared to abcNotes 's overall usefulness.

Gave this five stars for ease of use and visual clarity-the old eyes ain’t so good anymore. Being able to make check-off lists is a nice feature. I only wish I could make more desktops, so I could sort notes more specifically. Also some of the backgrounds are kinda weird. If the background were related somehow to the heading, that would be nice. For example a picture of school-related items in the background for school-related notes.

Have used abcNotes for years. Have drifted away several times, but always come back to the simplicity and effectiveness of this tool. Great to break out projects and notes for different hats I wear. The responsiveness to questions second to none. Happy to provide this rating, which I typically would not do.

Focus on important tasks in a fun way. Many sticky note apps are boring visually and tedious. Some only have one size of paper or a fixed location for the notes. This one is fun to use, yet not fussy. It allows you to change the paper and the font easily to reflect your tasks. It also allows you to move the sticky notes around on your page, and have different pages for different projects.

There's a good variety of note styles and fonts, and you can have multiple 'desktops' (noteboards) which is awesome, especially if you're using them for projects rather than general life reminders (or a combination thereof!). My only feature requests: font size, font face, and font colour variation within notes, as well as a notification option for stuff you want done at a specific time.

I really like abcNotes and use it daily. The bright colors and ease of use are perfect. However, I wish that it had also contained the ability to attach timed notes that would send reminders according to a calendar date and specific time. I had an app called Bug Me that accomplished that but does not work anymore .

abcNotes gets the job done. There are little advertisements every time abcNotes is opened, which gets a little annoying, and sometimes doesn’t close due to the small “x” in the corners. I used to have a sticky note app that allowed them to appear small on the home page which was helpful, especially if I needed something important to remember. This doesn’t allow that. But abcNotes is easy to use and good at organizing each note.

Despite all of the Calendar & GTD apps available, this app completes the circuit in my disconnected life. My medicine causes me to struggle with forgetfulness and even though I use my Calendar and 2Do apps this app provides me with a constant visual cue that assists me in getting things done. Thank you for not giving up on your customers and for your continued investment in this product. Blessings!

I do like it a lot especially the older you get the more you need something like this
I would really like if you could move one of your notes to your opening page as if it were paper and you could post it to it so it would be a constant reminder every time you open your phone
But besides that it is wonderful

I love it. It's my favorite notes-taking app. I use it daily. I've one note to the developers, though: The check list icon cannot be disabled, once enabled. And if an item has been checked, the check box appears as a letter while editing, which makes it not so convenient for further editing.

I love the simplicity of abcNotes I use it all the time for quick notes on the go. The only suggestion I would make is the ability to scroll the notes on the screen without opening the note. I still give it 5 stars because all the other features are so great!

It took me a little more than five minutes to understand how to use this application to a high degree.

I have been using To-Do, and To-Do Cloud for a long time. I find that those applications and others like them, which I have also used and left behind, keep morphing into something that I do not want. They started off simple and with a nice interface and then they get too silly and complex for my needs.

I don't want abcNotes to be about abcNotes , I want it to be about me doing what I want to do with it.

This tool is as easy to use and well suited to my needs as I could want.

abcNotes works surprisingly well. I want to resources and keeps my to do list at my fingertips. Sank function across iOS and Mac devices works well also.
I would love for abcNotes , in the future, to be able to operate with the Apple Pencil and a Windows version would be great as well. That would make it the whole package.
Worth the money.

abcNotes is amazing! I don’t know what I would do without it. I have so many different notes on this one app, and they are all organized. I have every desktop in a different color, and multiple notes in each desktop. So easy to use, and fun to use too!
